The iconic touring team will play Australia in this year's edition, and it will mark the return of full stadiums for the first time since 2017, when they toured New Zealand. ‌ This evening's match against Los Pumas marks the first-ever Lions fixture to take place at the Aviva Stadium and will kickstart six weeks of rugby action Down Under. ‌ The two teams will contest for the 1888 Cup and follows the tradition of playing the first warm-up fixture on home soil. Lions CEO Ben Calveley touched on the importance of the opening fixture in Ireland. "The opportunity to play in Dublin at Aviva Stadium in front of more than 50,000 Lions fans will make for a great occasion and the perfect send‑off," he began. "This pre‑tour fixture is one such example of this and builds on the success of the pre‑tour fixture against Japan at Murrayfield in 2021 which was a resounding success. "British & Irish Lions fans are a core part of what makes a great Lions tour. This fixture in Aviva Stadium gives fans who may not be travelling to Australia the opportunity to see the Lions in action which is really important to us." What time is the F1 Spanish Grand Prix today? Starting grid and how to watch

Lando Norris can take the lead of the Formula 1 championship by beating teammate Oscar Piastri to victory at the Spanish Grand Prix today. The gap between the McLaren drivers is just three points after Norris got back to winning ways at last week's chaotic Monaco Grand Prix. Hot on their rear-wing is Max Verstappen who has driven himself into title contention despite continued problems with his Red Bull RB21 car. Here's everything you need to know about today's race at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya: Piastri put in a fantastic final lap in qualifying to snatch pole position away from Norris with a time of 1:11.546 – two tenths quicker than his main championship rival. Remarkably, Verstappen and George Russell set the exact same lap time, but the reigning champion will start ahead as he set the time first. Sir Lewis Hamilton said his car was 'undriveable' in practice but managed to qualify fifth, while there was disaster for the other Red Bull of Yuki Tsunoda who will start the race in last place. Spanish drivers Fernando Alonso and Carlos Sainz had contrasting Saturdays, qualifying 10th and 18th respectively. Oscar Piastri (McLaren) Lando Norris (McLaren) Max Verstappen (Red Bull) George Russell (Mercedes) Lewis Hamilton (Ferrari) Kimi Antonelli (Mercedes) Charles Leclerc (Ferrari) Pierre Gasly (Alpine) Isack Hadjar (Racing Bulls) Fernando Alonso (Aston Martin) Alex Albon (Williams) Gabriel Bortoleto (Sauber) Liam Lawson (Racing Bulls) Lance Stroll (Aston Martin) Oliver Bearman (Haas) Nico Hulkenberg (Sauber) Esteban Ocon (Haas) Carlos Sainz (Williams) Franco Colapinto (Alpine) Yuki Tsunoda (Red Bull) Lights out for the Spanish Grand Prix is today at 2pm UK time. The race is 66 laps long, with Max Verstappen currently holding the lap record with a time of 1:16.330 that was set in 2023. Predictably for Spain, there's zero chance of a wet race, with nothing but bright sunshine and scorching temperatures of 31C forecast. The race will be broadcast live on Sky Sports F1 and Sky Sports Main Event, with their coverage set to begin at 12.30pm Highlights will be shown on Channel 4 at 6.30pm. Or better still, you can follow all the action on Metro's LIVE blog from 1pm. Speaking ahead of the Spanish Grand Prix, Johnny Herbert believes Lando Norris will be pipped to the title by his teammate. More Trending 'I still think Oscar Piastri is the favourite for the Drivers Championship because he's becoming a force to be reckoned with,' the former F1 race winner told Fast Slots. Drivers Oscar Piastri (McLaren) – 161pts Lando Norris (McLaren) – 158pts Max Verstappen (Red Bull) – 136pts Constructors McLaren – 319pts Mercedes – 147pts Red Bull – 143pts 'But it's the change of when he first came on board. He was finding his way. Now he's found his way. And from this point on, he's only going to grow stronger and stronger. Like I think we saw with Max Verstappen. 'Oscar Piastri is pretty much close to knowing what he needs to do from within his own team with Mark Webber [his manager], also knowing what needs to happen from the media side, but also then what happens within the team itself. 'He's even outfoxing Max in a racing situation and getting the better of Max. So, he's playing that race-craft very smartly at the moment. He's putting down a marker and making a statement.' Is Nottingham Forest vs Chelsea on TV today? Premier League final day team news

Chelsea are in action against Nottingham Forest on the final day of the Premier League with both sides battling for Champions League qualification. Chelsea's efforts to get over the line will not be helped by the absence of Nicolas Jackson who is serving a three-match suspension for the red card he picked up at Newcastle United earlier this month. But in a major boost for the Blues, Christopher Nkunku is available once again having missed the last three Premier League games. Marc Guiu is also set to return to the squad having not played since February with a hamstring injury. Wesley Fofana remains sidelined along with Marc Guiu but Jadon Sancho is available again after being ineligible to face his parent club last week. After victory over Manchester United last Friday, Chelsea currently occupy the fifth and final Champions League spot, level on points with fourth place Newcastle United and Aston Villa, sat just behind them on goal difference. Forest head into the weekend a point behind them in seventh. For Chelsea, it is relatively simple. Their fate is in their own hands and a win will secure a top five finish while also removing Forest from the equation. A draw might just be enough if Aston Villa fail to win at Manchester United and Newcastle United lose at home to Everton. Brighton vs Liverpool: Prediction, kick-off time, team news, TV, live stream, h2h results, odds today

Liverpool travel to Brighton in their final away match of the season tonight. This is the first of two fixtures the recently-crowned Premier League champions must play before finally getting their hands on the trophy to kick-start those planned celebrations on Merseyside. Since thrashing Tottenham 5-1 last month to clinch the title, Liverpool's levels have, understandably, dipped. They were beaten 3-1 away Chelsea before letting a two-goal lead slip to draw 2-2 at home to Arsenal last weekend. Ahead of their penultimate game of the campaign, the squad and head coach Arne Slot have enjoyed some downtime abroad, which could be great news for Brighton as they look to sign off at home on a high. The Seagulls are very much in the hunt for a top-eight finish in the Premier League, though they will have been pained to see rivals Crystal Palace lift the FA Cup on Saturday. Brighton vs Liverpool is scheduled for an 8pm BST kick-off tonight on Monday May 19, 2025. The match will take place at the Amex Stadium in Brighton. TV channel: In the UK, the game will be televised live on Sky Sports. Coverage of Monday Night Football starts at 6:30pm BST on Sky Sports Premier League and Sky Sports Main Event. Live stream: Sky Sports subscribers can also catch the contest live online via the Sky Go app. Live blog: You can follow all the action on matchday via Standard Sport's live blog. Free highlights: The Sky Sports app and YouTube channel will show highlights shortly after the final whistle. Brighton XI: Verbruggen, Wieffer, van Hecke, Webster, Estupinan,Baleba, Ayari, Minteh, Gruda, Adingra, Welbeck Subs: Rushworth,Igor, Dunk, Mitoma, Gomez, O'Riley, Veltman, Hinshelwood,Howell Liverpool XI: Alisson, Bradley, Quansah, Konate, Tsimikas,Gravenberch, Szoboszlai, Salah, Elliott, Gakpo, Chiesa Subs: Kelleher, Gomez, Endo, van Dijk, Diaz, Nunez, Jones, Robertson,Alexander-Arnold Liverpool have, quite literally, been on the beach this week. Despite that, it will not be an easy game for Brighton as Mohamed Salah, in particular, is chasing the Premier League assists record, so expect the visitors to carry a threat in attack. That said, the Reds most likely won't be at their very best as evidenced by games against Chelsea and Arsenal. Brighton to win, 2-1. Both meetings this season have been settled by the odd goal. In fact, the two teams met twice in the space of three days back in the winter with Liverpool winning the Carabao Cup fourth round tie 3-2 and then following that up with a 2-1 win in the Premier League at Anfield. Brighton wins: 4 Liverpool wins: 16 Draws: 7 Brighton to win: 17/10 Liverpool to win: 29/20 Draw: 29/10 Odds via Betfair (subject to change).
