The reason behind Param Sundari's delay is reported to be an already crowded month, with three more romantic dramas hitting the cinemas week after week. The box office clash with Ajay Devgn's Son Of Sardaar 2 can also be another reason for the postponement. The romantic comedy, directed by Tushar Jalota, is now eyeing a theatrical release in August 2025. The makers are currently contemplating two release dates - August 1 and August 28. The actor is now gearing up for the release of Son Of Sardaar 2, a sequel to his Hit comedy drama, Son Of Sardaar, released in 2012. Though Son Of Sardaar is now popular as one of Ajay Devgn 's best titles, it was originally registered for an Akshay Kumar movie. Yes, that's true, Khiladi Kumar had blocked the title 'Son Of Sardaar' for a script. It was Akki's kind gesture that allowed Ajay Devgn to use the title. When Akshay Kumar called Ajay Devgn 'brother from another mother' Sonakshi Sinha, who played the female lead in Son of Sardaar, took to her micro-blogging handle Twitter (now X) in 2011 and expressed her gratitude to Akshay Kumar. The actress tweeted, "Big thank you to the Rowdy Rathore Akshay Kumar for letting us have his title - Son of Sardaar! Ur a rockstar." Replying to the same, Akshay Kumar mentioned that Ajay is his brother from another mother. The actor shared the first look poster of the film too as she is set to return to his character Jassi. Son Of Sardaar 2 is all set to hit the screens on July 25, 2025. Mukul Dev Death: Ajay Devgn Pens Emotional Tribute; ‘Still Trying To Process It'
Last Updated: Ajay Devgn, who worked with Mukul Dev in Son Of Sardaar, expressed shock over his sudden death, and described him as someone who could lighten up even the darkest days. Actor Mukul Dev passed away on Friday in Delhi. He was 54. His sudden death left the film industry mourning, and his co-actors, colleagues and friends from the film fraternity expressed their grief through posts on social media. Ajay Devgn, who worked with Mukul Dev in Son Of Sardaar, penned an emotional note, remembering his co-actor. He expressed his shock over Mukul's sudden death, and remembered him for his ability to lighten even the darkest days. Ajay Devgn took to his Instagram stories to share a picture of Mukul Dev. Remembering the late actor, he wrote that his death was all too soon and sudden, and that he is still trying to process it. 'Still trying to process it… Mukul It's all too soon and sudden. You had a way of making everything lighter, even on the heaviest days. On Shanti," he wrote. Before his demise, Mukul Dev shot for his last film, Son Of Sardaar 2, starring Ajay Devgn and Mrunal Thakur. Vindu Dara Singh, who is also a part of the film, mourned Mukul Dev's demise. He shared a heartfelt post remembering his co-actor. While speaking with ETimes, Vindu Dara Singh said, ''He has done such fantastic work in SOS 2. He was my Tony and I was his Tito. He had an amazing role and people are going to roll on the floor laughing after seeing his work in July when the film releases. But unfortunately, he will not be around to enjoy the success and see the love." He also shared, 'I don't think he was suffering from any disease but he used to drink a lot and would have gutkha. He had become overweight and he battled loneliness. He has a daughter but she is also, she was not staying with him. He was making his comeback with Son of Sardaar but the sad part is he won't be there to see it. It is very tragic news." Meanwhile, many other Bollywood celebrities mourned Mukul Dev's death. Nimrat Kaur took to her Instagram stories and wrote, 'Deepest condolences and all my strength and prayers to the whole family and loved ones. @rahuldevofficial sir thinking of you in this dark hour…Rest in peace Mukul sir…" After his brother's death, Rahul Dev shared a brief message on Instagram, confirming Mukul's death and announcing the details of his final rites. 'Our brother Mukul Dev passed away peacefully at New Delhi last night. He's survived by his daughter Sia Dev. Missed by siblings Rashmi Kaushal, Rahul Dev and nephew Sidhant Dev. Please join us for cremation at 5 PM," the note read.
