Here's how to get the REDMAGIC 10S Pro a day early and with a discount to boot
REDMAGIC is leveling up its gaming flagship with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Leading Version. That is the name given to the overclocked version of the already quite powerful chip. The new model will be on open sale from June 18, but you can get it a day early with Early Bird voucher. In more detail, the REDMAGIC 10S Pro runs its CPU at 4.47GHz (up from 4.32GHz) and the Adreno 830 GPU is boosted to 1.2GHz (up from 1.1GHz). Even the NPU got dialed up and is 40% faster. The REDMAGIC 10S Pro is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Leading Version An additional performance uptick comes from the RedCore R3 Pro chipset (the original 10 Pro phone uses the R3 non-Pro). This chip handles super-resolution upscaling for 120fps gaming and deals with things like reducing input latency and controlling cooling. There's more – the REDMAGIC 10S Pro features LPDDR5T RAM and UFS 4.1 Pro storage. The previous version has LPDDR5X RAM instead – the 'T' stands for 'Turbo', by the way, as 5T promises to be 13% faster than 5X. LPDDR5T RAM and UFS 4.1 Pro storage • RedCore R3 Pro Here's the deal – open sales of the REDMAGIC 10S Pro will begin on June 18. However, you can jump to the front of the queue and get it a day early on June 17 with an Early Bird voucher. You can grab an Early Bird voucher starting today, June 12, for just $1. This not only gives access to the June 17 sale, but it also gives you a $30 discount coupon – this drops the price of the phone down to $619. And REDMAGIC will throw in a limited edition sticker too. The voucher will be available until the 17th. The REDMAGIC 10S Pro has some serious cooling for its flagship chipset – it has 30% more liquid metal (totaling 36mm²) than before, which has much higher thermal conductivity than typical thermal compound. The liquid metal directly covers the chip, which drops temperatures down by 5°C. A 23,000 RPM fan and liquid metal directly on the chip The 23,000 RPM active cooling fan makes the 10S Pro one of the few phones that can sustain its performance for more than a few minutes. The large 12,000mm² vapor chamber helps with that too. The fan has RGB lighting, of course. The phone is equipped with a perfectly rectangular 6.85' 1.5K AMOLED full screen customized for REDMAGIC by BOE. It runs at up to 144Hz and has a touch sampling rate of 2,500Hz for one finger, 960Hz for multiple. The display can hit a peak brightness of 2,000 nits for outdoor visibility. There are additional controls – two shoulder triggers (520Hz sampling rate) and the MagicKey (which launches Game Space by default). The phone is dated IP54 for dust and water resistance, despite the cooling fan. It has dual speakers with DTS:X Ultra sound and a 3.5mm headphone jack for the lowest latency connection possible. Inside is a massive 7,050mAh battery with 80W fast charging. The battery has 25% higher energy density than the previous model. The USB-C port is wired for USB 3.2 Gen 2, by the way. The phone has two 50MP cameras on the back – a 1/1.55' main (f/1.88, OIS, 23mm) and an ultra-wide (1/2.88', 13mm, f/2.0). There is also a 2MP helper camera that can enhance overall photo quality. On the front is... nothing that you can see, but underneath the screen is a 16MP selfie camera. REDMAGIC 10S Pro colors: Nightfall, Moonlight and Dusk Here is a pricing breakdown for the REDMAGIC 10S Pro – note that it doesn't include the $30 coupon you can get with the Early Bird voucher. With that voucher, you can grab a 10S Pro on June 17, without it, open sales start the day after. RedMagic 10S Pro goes global with overclocked Snapdragon 8 Elite, improved cooling
The latest RedMagic 10S Pro is now available outside China, combining high-performance parts with an elaborate cooling solution. This includes the overclocked Snapdragon 8 Elite Leading Version, a new chip for game graphics upscaling and a 23,000rpm active cooling fan. RedMagic 10S Pro in Nightfall, Moonlight and Dusk The Leading Version chip has higher clock speeds than the Snapdragon 8 Elite we usually see. The CPU goes up to 4.47GHz (up from 4.32GHz) and the GPU clocks up to 1.2GHz (up from 1.1GHz). The performance of the NPU has been increased by 40%. For high sustained performance, RedMagic borrowed ideas from gaming PCs. There is 36mm² of liquid metal in direct contact with the chip. This has a higher thermal conductivity than typical compounds and is credited with a 5°C reduction in temperature. The liquid metal guides heat to a 12,000mm² vapor chamber, plus graphene and copper layers, which work together with the high-speed (but quiet) fan to push heat outside. The fan has RGB lighting customizable with up to 15 colors. RedMagic 10S Pro: 23,000rpm cooling fan • Liquid metal The 10S Pro can be configured with up to 24GB of RAM and up to 1TB storage, though note that available options differ by color. There is a detailed price breakdown at the end. Note that the phone launches with RedMagic OS 10.5 based on Android 15. Besides the cooling fan, another trademark feature of RedMagic devices is the rectangular screen – a custom 6.85' OLED panel from BOE. It has 1216p+ resolution and a refresh rate up to 144Hz, though each game supports different frame rates. Speaking of, the Snapdragon chip is paired with the RedCore R3 Pro gaming chip. This is responsible for super resolution upscaling to hit 120fps in multiple titles, but also deals with input (for low latency touch detection) and cooling too. The display has a one finger sampling rate of 2,500Hz, for multiple fingers it is 960Hz. That's not the only control, though. As usual, RedMagic has included two shoulder triggers with 520Hz sampling rate. There's also a MagicKey that launches Game Space (but it can be customized to launch other features too). Shoulder Triggers • Game Space settings Another aspect of endurance is battery life – the RedMagic 10S is equipped with a massive 7,050mAh battery. That can be charged up quickly at up to 80W. The phone features 4D tactile feedback that combines with DTS:X-certified stereo speakers for a more immersive experience. The rear RGB lighting can be set to react dynamically to sound cues from games, which adds some flair to the experience. The main camera on the back is based on a 50MP sensor (OV50E) and has optical image stabilization. Next to it is a 50MP ultra-wide (OV50D) and a 2MP helper module. On the front – actually, below the screen – is a 16MP selfie camera. The RedMagic 10S Pro will go on open sale on June 18 (that's Wednesday two weeks from now). However, there will be a short pre-order period before that – more on that soon! For now, here is the pricing of the various color and memory combinations that will be available on global markets.
