Drake confirms Nokia IMAX music video release date and director Theo Skudra's involvement
Drake has officially announced the release date for his much-anticipated music video for 'Nokia'. Contrary to earlier reports suggesting a March 28 drop, the rapper confirmed the video will premiere on Monday, March 31. He also teased fans with the IMAX logo, hinting at a lavish, cinematic rollout. The visual will be directed by Theo Skudra, Drake's go-to filmmaker throughout the 2020s. Skudra's directed several of Drake's biggest visuals, including 'What's Next', 'Toosie Slide', and the polarizing 'Family Matters'. Chart-wise, 'Nokia' has already made noise — debuting at No. 10 on the Billboard Hot 100, peaking at No. 8, and now sitting at No. 11. With fans calling it the spiritual successor to 'Hotline Bling', many are expecting the video to fuel a surge back into the top 10. Drake, who's been riding the wave of $OME $EXY $ONGS 4 U since Valentine's Day, has hinted that more solo music is on the way. During a recent show in Australia, he told fans, 'Drizzy Drake alone by himself is gonna have to have a one-on-one talk to y'all,' teasing a future album with a more personal tone. With Skudra's direction and a rare IMAX rollout, 'Nokia' could be the kind of visual moment that reignites Drake's viral reign.
