NEW: Kaizer Chiefs DIDN'T have R3m bid rejected for striker!
It's clear Kaizer Chiefs are searching for a striker or two to boost their attack ahead of the 2025/26 season. Chiefs have been struggling in front of goal for several seasons now and will look to end those woes soon. Coach Nasreddine Nabi made it no secret that he wanted to bring in a striker, when he arrived at Chiefs. He didn't get his wish in his first window but was able to add two forwards in January. These being Tashreeq Morris and Glody Lilepo. These experienced stars were brought in to supplement a blunt-looking attack which featured Ranga Chivaviro, Ashley du Preez and a young Wandile Duba. While Morris proved to be a flop, Lilepo ended up being the club's joint top goal scorer with young Duba with five. That, however, just highlighted the need for a senior striker to shoulder that goal scoring burden. There have been a number of players mentioned in that regard, with DRC international Fiston Mayele one. Earlier on Tuesday, this publication reported that Chiefs had also made an enquiry for Etiosa Ighodaro. The player has spent the last couple of seasons on loan from Mamelodi Sundowns, and could now be keen for a permanent exit. Another option Amakhosi were rumoured to have an interest in is Simba SC striker Kibu Denis. Reports had recently circulated that Chiefs had put in a bid of R3 million to Simba for Denis. But according to FARPost , those reports are wide off the mark, because the club are not interested in the player. 'While initial reports linked him to several players, sources close to the coach confirm that his primary focus remains on Tanzanian international midfielder Feisal Salum, while emphatically dismissing any interest in Simba SC's Kibu Denis.' Wrote the publication. Chiefs fans, now that Denis seems not to be a target, which striker should the club target for next season? Let us know by clicking on the comment tab. Kaizer Chiefs: Tanzanian scouting trip reveals new target
Kaizer Chiefs have intensified their hunt for fresh talent, and all signs now point towards Simba SC's dynamic midfielder, Jean Charles Ahoua. The 23-year-old Ivorian has attracted serious attention following a high-profile scouting mission to Tanzania. Last week, head coach Nasreddine Nabi and Head of Scouting and Recruitment Thembela 'Tera' Maliwa were seen at the KMC Complex in Dar es Salaam. They are attending a Premier League showdown between Simba SC and Singida Black Stars. Their presence fuelled speculation of upcoming transfers and strategic reinforcements at Naturena. While many initially believed their trip centred on Simba SC's 26-year-old attacker Denis Kibu, fresh reports now suggest that Ahoua and Feisal Salum top Amakhosi's wish list. 'Chiefs coach Nabi and the club's chief scout Tera were recently in Tanzania. And part of their visit included watching the match between Simba SC and Singida Black Stars. One of the players that Chiefs have been following is Denis (Kibu). And they hoped to see him in action,' a source revealed. 'There might have been other players the Chiefs technical duo were there to watch closely, which includes (Jean)Charles(Ahoua).' Ahoua's performance in the CAF Confederation Cup has not gone unnoticed. He featured in 13 matches, bagged three goals, and delivered two assists. Which includes a vital strike in the semi-final first leg clash against Stellenbosch FC. His ability to perform on the continental stage adds significant weight to his candidacy for a move to South Africa. With the club under pressure to rebuild and climb back to dominance, bringing in a player of Ahoua's calibre could signal a new era at Naturena. Known for his attacking flair, energy in midfield, and international experience. The Ivorian might just be the creative force Chiefs have been missing. Would Jean Charles Ahoua be a good fit at Kaizer Chiefs? Let us know by leaving a comment below or send a WhatsApp to 060 011 021 1. CAF concludes two-day Senior Supervisors Commanders' workshop in Nairobi ahead of TotalEnergies CAF CHAN 2024
Dr. Christian Emeruwa, the Head of CAF's Safety and Security department is confident that the East African region is well on course ahead of its first ever joint major tournament, the TotalEnergies CAF African Nations Championship (CHAN) set for August. Dr. Emeruwa says he is impressed with the caliber of the security workforce and the zeal to work exhibited by personnel from all the host countries, after conducting the last of three workshops for senior supervisors in Nairobi on Friday. 'In terms of personnel, what we have seen is impressive and commendable. We are happy with the people we have trained. They have been very positive and receptive in terms of the training and we are confident that we have the right people. But, we still have some way to go in terms of getting enough material for the personnel to work,' Dr Emeruwa said. He conducted the first workshop in Tanzania, culminating with practical work at the TotalEnergies CAF Confederation Cup final between Simba SC and RS Berkane in Zanzibar before heading to Uganda. He then conducted the workshop in Nairobi, bringing together 40 senior security personnel from the National Police Service as well as officials from both the Ministry of Sports and Interior Coordination. 'For us it is very important to get all the security stakeholders in a room and expose them to the CAF way of doing things. We are not here to teach them how to police the country. Football has its own security requirements and programs which are not openly available to the conventional police,' Dr Christian said. He added; 'We needed to expose them to this kind of training and also let them know what is coming to them. CHAN is the second biggest tournament in CAF; it is not just a once-off game. We have tried to show them what has happened in other countries, and for a country well connected from the borders we expect quite a lot of people coming in for this tournament.' The two-day workshop culminated in a practical session at the Nyayo National Stadium, one of the principal host stadia of the tournament. They were taken through various crowd control measures, including managing entry of spectators and manning ticket verification points. 'This was a brilliant platform for us to get rolling in terms of helping our security personnel understand how football security operations are done. It is very different from the normal day to day job of the police and there have been massive benefits from this training by CAF. Locally we have endeavored to train as many police officers as possible to ensure that we have a very safe CHAN in August,' said Austin Oduor, CAF's National Safety and Security Officer, Kenya. The TotalEnergies CAF CHAN is scheduled for August, and this will be the first time three countries will be co-hosting the tournament specially tailor-made for locally-based players.

Kaizer Chiefs transfer news: Nabi and Ntwari
Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper and Rwanda international number one Fiacre Ntwari does not know where he will play football next season, and we're in June. Additionally, his head coach, Nasreddine Nabi, is on a scouting mission in East Africa to watch the Tanzania Premier League. Find out what Amakhosi are considering for Ntwari and why Nabi has paused his holiday break to travel East. Nasreddine Nabi during a Kaizer Chiefs press conference in Polokwane. Image via @KaizerChiefs on X Kaizer Chiefs are expected to find and introduce at least one new goalkeeper before the 2025/26 Betway Premiership season starts. It's been nine months since the Rwandan international goalkeeper Fiacre Ntwari joined Amakhosi from TS Galaxy. Despite a promising start at the beginning of last Spring, Ntwari has been out of the Kaizer Chiefs team since October 2024. According to Soccer Laduma, the club is considering cashing in on a sale that involves Ntwari. 'The club still respects Ntwari, but they are realistic about his situation,' an insider at Naturena told the outlet. Kaizer Chiefs product tipped for big things in Europe 'If a good offer comes and it makes sense for everyone involved, Kaizer Chiefs will consider letting him go, especially with the squad changes expected under the new technical direction,' the source added. In the meantime, the club's existing options are Brandon Petersen, Bruce Bvuma, and Bontle Molefe. The club was also linked with Stanley Nwabali at Chippa United and, of course, Toaster Nsabata from Zesco United in Zambia. With the club linked with a couple of top players from the Tanzanian Premier League, it is no surprise Nabi has made the trip. According to local reports, Kaizer Chiefs are interested in Denis Kibu and Mohamed Hussein of Simba SC, and of course Feisal Salum from Azam FC. During Wednesday's Tanzanian Premier League game between Simba SC and Singida, Kaizer Chiefs coach Nabi was spotted in the crowd. Reports say the Tunisian was there to watch Simba's winger Denis Kibu and his captain, Mohamed Hussein, at left-back.
