MCG panel to oversee digital land records
Gurgaon: MCG has formed a panel to oversee and maintain records on the Municipal Asset Management System (MAMS) portal, established by the department of Urban Local Bodies (DULB), Haryana.
The panel will ensure precise updates and maintenance of municipal land documentation on the portal, and will also supervise and assess municipal land utilisation. The panel will be chaired by MCG chief town planner Sanjeev Mann, while deputy town planner Siddharth Khandelwal and Harkesh Gupta, tehsildar (retd) will be among the panel members.
"The committee shall ensure all municipal land records are accurately updated and maintained on the MAMS portal.
Any discrepancies or missing data must be identified and rectified at the earliest. The committee shall review and assess the current usage of municipal land and provide detailed reports to the undersigned. Reports should include details such as occupancy, lease agreements, encroachments (if any), and land zoning classification.
The committee shall submit a brief report every week to the undersigned, detailing the progress made on record maintenance and land usage analysis," read the order issued by MCG commissioner Pradeep Dahiya.
Haryana govt has also formulated the Haryana Municipal Properties Auction Policy, 2024, according to which municipalities across the state will have to identify the properties for sale through e-auction.
