Hilaria Baldwin Teaches Her Kids About Death At Cemeteries
They say two things are certain in life: death and taxes. And it sounds like Hilaria Baldwin has already started teaching her kids about the facts of life. For context, Hilaria and Alec Baldwin share seven children: daughters Ilaria, 2, María, 4, and Carmen, 11, along with sons Eduardo, 4, Romeo, 6, Leonardo, 8, and Rafael, 9. If you follow Hilaria or Alec, or even just go on the internet from time to time, you'll probably know they're suuuuper open when it comes to discussing parenting. And now, Hilaria has shared a surprising tip about how she helps her children get comfortable with the prospect of death. Appearing on this week's episode of Kate and Oliver Hudson's Sibling Revelry podcast, Hilaria and Oliver got into a conversation about his fear of death, and how it's 'gotten worse' since he had kids. 'It's not even a selfish thing,' he said. 'It's more about my children.' In response, Hilaria agreed that she feels the same anxieties, but that she's found a way of making sure that death isn't something her children live in fear of. 'I think I bring my kids to cemeteries a lot,' she said. 'Once you become a parent, I think that's how fragile life can be; it comes into my fears all the time. But I really feel like we spend time in cemeteries and everything from the history of it, and just also acknowledging, this is part of life.' She continued: 'This is part of life. And there's a tremendous amount of peace there as well. And not being afraid, if not of death, but of people who have died, you know? And because I don't want anyone to be afraid of me when I die. So I try to have that kind of connection with them.' OK, I guess it sounds a little weird... but it's also not the craziest thing I've ever heard? What do you make of this? LMK in the comments.

Hilaria Baldwin Shares She Often Brings Her 7 Kids to Cemeteries to Teach Them About Dying: 'Part of Life'
Hilaria Baldwin is making sure her kids aren't afraid of what comes next. The yoga instructor, 41, appeared on Kate Hudson and Oliver Hudson's podcast Sibling Revelry and shared that she's trying to ensure that her seven kids — whom she shares with husband Alec Baldwin — don't develop a fear of dying. As Oliver spoke about how his fear of dying has "gotten worse" since he's had kids, "it's not even a selfish thing. It's more about my children," he explains, he notes that he doesn't think you can "fully live" without getting over this fear of death. "I think I bring my kids to cemeteries a lot. First of all, I do, I feel very much like you do. Once you become a parent, I think that how fragile life is can be, it comes into my fears all the time," says Hilaria. "But I really feel like, we spend time in cemeteries and everything from the history of it and just also acknowledging, this is part of life." "And because I don't want anyone to be afraid of me when I die. So I try to have that kind of connection with them." Hilaria and Alec share seven children together, welcoming their youngest, daughter Ilaria Catalina Irena, 2, in September 2022. The couple, who tied the knot in 2012, shares three daughters, Ilaria Catalina Irena, María Lucía Victoria, 4, and Carmen Gabriela, 11, as well as four sons Eduardo "Edu" Pao Lucas, 4, Romeo Alejandro David, 6, Leonardo Ángel Charles, 8, and Rafael Thomas, 9. Alec is also dad to daughter Ireland Baldwin, 29, whom he shares with ex-wife Kim Basinger. In May, Hilaria shared a Reel on her Instagram of her Mother's Day celebration with her family of nine, which included cards, flowers and gifts from her kids. In her caption, Hilaria revealed what her favorite part of the special day is. "Happy Mother's Day to all 🌸🩷! Sending so much love. I think one of my favorite parts of Mother's Day is watching them try to be secretive while they make cards for me," she wrote in her caption. "They are so excited and their energy of trying to surprise me melts my heart 💙 #mothersday." During an interview with Romper in June 2023, Hilaria said Ilaria is "probably, most definitely, almost completely" her last child. "I'm always afraid to say it. I was putting away my maternity clothes recently and was like, 'I'm afraid to give them away because then I'll find out I'm pregnant,' " she told the outlet. "Every single time I have a baby, my OB writes down the vasectomy doctor on a Post-It, and I bring it home to Alec. He hasn't done it yet." Read the original article on People

Michelle and Barack Obama Share Rare Family Photo to Celebrate Sasha's Birthday
It isn't every day that we get a new photo of the Obama family. Still, yesterday, former first lady Michelle Obama and former president Barack Obama posted one on their Instagrams to celebrate their younger daughter Sasha's 24th birthday. The photo shows the family of four (Michelle, Barack, Malia, and Sasha) dressed casually in a tropical climate. Michelle posted with the caption, 'Happy birthday to my sweet girl, Sasha! Can't believe how quickly time has flown. I'm so proud of the woman you've become. Love you always! 💕🥳🎉' And Barack posted the same photo with the caption, 'Happy birthday, Sasha! Watching you grow into the incredible woman you are has been a true gift. I'll always be proud of you and will always be here for you.' Last week, the former first lady appeared on an episode of Sibling Revelry with Kate Hudson and Oliver Hudson to discuss parenting and her two daughters. She shared that there was a period when Malia, 26, and Sasha, 24, went through the 'push away' phase when they were teenagers. 'I mean, they're still doing that,' the Becoming author said. She also revealed that she understands why Malia and Sasha want to 'distinguish' themselves from their parents and chart their own paths. 'It's very important for my kids to feel like they've earned what they are getting in the world,' she continued. 'They don't want people to assume that they don't work hard and that they're naturally just handed things. They're very sensitive to that. They want to be their own people.'

Barack and Michelle Obama share rare family photo for Sasha's 24th birthday
Former U.S. President Barack Obama and former First Lady Michelle Obama marked their daughter Sasha Obama's 24th birthday by sharing a rare family photograph on social media. The image, posted on both Barack and Michelle Obama's official Instagram accounts, shows the family — Barack, Michelle, Malia, and Sasha — smiling and embracing one another. The occasion marks a rare public appearance for Sasha, who has largely stayed out of the spotlight since leaving the White House. Barack Obama, 63, captioned his post: 'Happy birthday, Sasha! Watching you grow into the incredible woman you are has been a true gift. I'll always be proud of you and will always be here for you.' Michelle, 61, echoed the sentiment, writing, 'Can't believe how quickly time has flown. I'm so proud of the woman you've become. Love you always!' Since leaving public office, the Obama daughters have pursued quieter lives. Sasha remains mostly private, while Malia, 26, has stepped into the entertainment industry under the name Malia Ann, dropping her last name in an effort to carve out her own identity. Michelle Obama recently spoke about this decision on the Sibling Revelry podcast, noting her daughters' desire to earn their place without relying on the family name. She also revealed that both daughters have sought independence since their teenage years but now better understand their parents' choices. This public moment highlights the family's continued emphasis on privacy, self-reliance, and growth—values they say have guided their daughters into adulthood.

Barack and Michelle Obama Share Rare New Family Photo for Daughter Sasha's 24th Birthday
Barack and Michelle Obama shared a rare new family photo on Tuesday, June 10, in celebration of daughter Sasha's 24th birthday. The former first family is smiling and embracing one another in the picture, as the parents shared uplifting captions dedicated to their younger daughter. Michelle recently opened up about their elder daughter Malia's attempt to "distinguish" herself by dropping her famous last name in her budding filmmaking career. President Barack Obama and former first lady Michelle Obama shared a rare new family photo this week in celebration of their daughter Sasha's 24th birthday. The picture features the full Obama family — Barack, Michelle, Sasha and Malia — with their arms around one another. The former president is dressed casually, in a white polo and gray slacks, while his wife and daughters are in sundresses. "Happy birthday, Sasha! Watching you grow into the incredible woman you are has been a true gift. I'll always be proud of you and will always be here for you," Barack, 63, captioned the post. Michelle, 61, shared the same photo on her page, with the caption, "Happy birthday to my sweet girl, Sasha! Can't believe how quickly time has flown. I'm so proud of the woman you've become. Love you always!" Since leaving the White House, Malia and Sasha have lived more private lives than their parents. Though Malia, 26, entered the film and TV industry in recent years, which has required her to make occasional public appearances, Sasha has remained out of the spotlight and rarely appears at events or in photographs. Michelle recently opened up about her daughters' attempts to "distinguish" themselves from their famous family now that they're adults. During an appearance on Kate and Oliver Hudson's podcast, Sibling Revelry, the former first lady shared her feelings on Malia's decision to drop her last name and use her middle name, going by "Malia Ann" in her budding filmmaking career. The former first daughter casually revealed the name change when she debuted The Heart, a short film that she wrote and directed, at the 2024 Sundance Film Festival. "I mean, it is very important for my kids to feel like they've earned what they are getting in the world, and they don't want people to assume that they don't work hard, that they're just naturally, just handed things," Michelle said. "They're very sensitive to that — they want to be their own people." "We were like, 'They're still going to know it's you, Malia,' " she added. "But we respected the fact that she's trying to make her way." While she dropped her famous last name, "Ann" is still deeply significant in the Obama family, as it's the name of Barack's late mother, Ann Dunham, who died in 1995. Michelle shared that Malia and Sasha have both sought independence from their family legacy since they were teens. "They are young adult women, but they definitely went through a period in their teen years where it was the push away ... [where] you're trying to distinguish yourself," she told Kate and Oliver. Now that Malia and Sasha are adults, and the family no longer faces the pressures of the White House, Michelle said her daughters have a better understanding of their parents and are "embracing our parenting principles." "They have a clearer understanding of why we did a lot of what we did," she explained. "They understand us as full human beings now, in the same way that I think I discovered that about my parents when I went away to college." Read the original article on People
