Apple TV+ will submit 13 cast members from Shrinking Season 2 for Emmy consideration, Gold Derby has learned. Jason Segel will submit in Best Comedy Actor for playing Jimmy Laird, an out-of-the-box therapist who's still grieving the death of his wife. Segel received his first Emmy nomination in 2023 for the first season of this comedy series, which he cocreated with Bill Lawrence and Brett Goldstein. Ford, McGinley, Tennie, and Urie are all seeking their first Emmy nominations, while Goldstein has already won this category twice for Ted Lasso (2021 and 2022). As for Best Comedy Supporting Actress, the three performers being entered for consideration are Lukita Maxwell as Alice, Jimmy's daughter; Christa Miller as Liz, Jimmy's neighbor; and Jessica Williams as Gaby Evans, Jimmy's co-therapist and his deceased wife's friend. Williams was nominated in this category for Season 1 of Shrinking, while Miller earned a Best Music Supervision Emmy nom in 2023 for Ted Lasso.
