It wasn't about football, practice, or game stats. Instead, it was about speed — and not the kind on the field. A recent clip has fans talking, and it's all because of a light-hearted jab from Shilo Sanders to his younger brother, Shedeur Sanders. What started as a small moment quickly caught attention, especially with Shedeur Shedeur's past driving issues making headlines. Shilo Sanders jokes about Shedeur Sanders' driving while in Tampa On June 20, 2024, while walking with his family in Tampa, Florida, Shilo Sanders made a funny comment that instantly caught fans' attention. In a video posted on social media, Shilo Sanders said, 'I know we out here in Tampa. We got to be careful crossing the street, especially if Shedeur is out here.' This joke comes just weeks after reports showed Shedeur Sanders had received multiple speeding tickets in recent months. Earlier this year the University of Colorado's quarterback faced his fair share of unique trouble stopping for speeding in more than one occasion in Boulder, Colorado. When this originally became news fans online promptly shared their differing opinions. However, this most recent video made it a whole different piece of news in a fun way. The 25-year-old defensive back made a heartwarming return to the University of Colorado, surprising his former teammates with a luxury gift, a brand-new Apple Watch Series 10 for each player. He spent $39,501 on the gesture, strengthening his bond with the Buffaloes, even as he begins a new chapter in the NFL. The video captured Shilo Sanders returning to Boulder and personally handing out Apple Watches to every member of the University of Colorado football roster, a total of 99 players. Each device retails at a starting price of $399, and Shilo Sanders ensured no one was left out. The surprise is no shock to fans who are aware of the Sanders family legacy, which not only includes on-field success but also building a unique team culture at Colorado. The tradition of fashionable watches became a hallmark during Deion Sanders' time as head coach, and the gift from Shilo continues that tradition. THANK YOU SHILO! Shilo Sanders gifts Apple Watches to Colorado football players, establishing culture

Shilo Sanders gifts Apple Watches to Colorado football players, establishing culture Shilo Sanders got the entire Colorado Football Team Apple Watches 🔥 🎥 : @TawfiqThomas — We Coming 🦬 (@SkoBuffsGoBuffs) June 7, 2025 The entire Sanders family is known for their flash and swagger. Deion Sanders leads the charge as Colorado's head coach and the Pro Football Hall of Famer, effectively known as "Prime Time" during his playing days. Shedeur and Shilo Sanders show much of the same swag as their father. Shedeur became known for his signature "watch flex" celebration, which has become popular among other professional athletes. Now, Shilo, who showed his style on the field during his two seasons at Colorado, is giving back to his Buffs' family. In a video posted to Instagram by new Colorado defensive lineman Tawfiq Thomas, he showed off a new Apple Watch, which was gifted to him by Shilo Sanders. Thomas can be heard in the video shouting, "Apple Watch after workout, Yes sir, Shilo! Yes, sir Shilo!" The gesture isn't surprising considering Sanders was the Buffaloes' defensive leader the past two seasons, but the fact that he is gifting the watches to players who weren't even his teammates speaks volumes. Deion Sanders is establishing a culture in Boulder, and his sons are taking that to heart, helping to leave a legacy that will hopefully continue for years to come. Shilo is now in the NFL with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Still, he is showing that he wants Colorado's current roster to feel his support, which can undoubtedly pay huge dividends when trying to keep a roster intact during the ever-evolving college football landscape. Colorado will need a strong locker room this season as they enter 2025 with the Big 12's toughest conference slate and one of the toughest overall schedules in the conference. The Buffaloes will open their season with a Friday night home game against Georgia Tech on Aug. 29. Follow Charlie Strella on X, Threads and Instagram. Shilo Sanders Turns Heads With Apple Watch Drop for Colorado Players

Shilo Sanders Turns Heads With Apple Watch Drop for Colorado Players originally appeared on Athlon Sports. Shilo Sanders may be in the NFL now, but the former Colorado safety is still finding ways to influence the Buffaloes program he helped elevate. Advertisement In a recent video posted by defensive lineman Tawfiq Thomas, many other Colorado players showed off Apple Watches gifted by Sanders, now a rookie safety with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Thomas celebrated the moment by flashing his new piece of technology and wrote, 'Apple Watch after workout. Yes sir, Shilo!' The group of Buffs joined in by doing 'The Shedeur," honoring Shilo's younger brother and former Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders. His gift carried a deeper message that despite moving on, he remains connected to the program. During his time in Boulder, Sanders was known as a vocal leader and a presence on and off the field. He embraced recruiting efforts and took ownership of the defense, often urging prospective players to reach out directly. Now, his leadership takes a new form by reminding current players that the brotherhood doesn't end when players leave campus. The Apple Watches may draw attention, but the real value lies in the message of loyalty and legacy. Led by Baker Mayfield, the Buccaneers will again be a team to watch in the upcoming 2025 NFL season. Following the 2025 NFL Draft, Tampa Bay made a move that has brought the team even more media coverage. In undrafted free agency, the Buccaneers agreed to terms with Colorado standout defensive back Shilo Sanders, the son of the legendary Deion Sanders. While he went undrafted, Sanders has drawn quite a bit of praise since joining the team. He might have a shot to make the roster in Tampa Bay. Back in 2023, he totaled 67 tackles, four forced fumbles, an interception, a defensive touchdown, and three defended passes. Ahead of training camp and preseason action, Sanders has now received praise from the Buccaneers' star safety Antoine Winfield Jr. "He plays hard, he works hard," Winfield Jr. said. "He really wants to learn and improve his game, so that's something that you really admire from someone coming in who wants to learn and actually play this game." Just like Sanders, Winfield Jr. had a dad playing in the NFL. He knows Sanders was raised with a similar work ethic and drive for success. "I'm sure he understands. I'm sure he grew up with it, same as myself," Winfield Jr. said. "He's a great kid — he works tremendously hard and I can't say enough about him." It will be interesting to see if he can make the roster and stick with the Buccaneers to begin his career. If Winfield's remarks about Sanders are any hint, things are going well for the young defensive back so far. Next up, he'll need to prove himself consistent in training camp and preseason play to earn a roster spot. For more Tampa Bay Buccaneers and NFL news, head over to Newsweek Sports.
