Shilo Sanders clowns brother Shedeur over speeding ticket drama

Shilo did Shedeur dirty. The middle Sanders son poked fun at his older brother in a new video — part of his 'Tampa Food Tour' YouTube series — when he made a joke about Shedeur's recent issues with speeding in Ohio. In the clip, Shilo is crossing a street in Tampa when he takes the jab at the Browns rookie quarterback. Advertisement Getty Images 'We out here in Tampa. We gotta be careful crossing the street, especially if Shedeur is out here,' Shilo said in the clip before making himself laugh. Shilo was, of course, referencing Shedeur's recent issues with speeding tickets, which made headlines last week. Advertisement Shedeur was stopped and cited for going 101 mph, 41 miles over the posted speed limit, on June 17 in a Cleveland suburb and had been stopped two weeks before that in another stop, where he was cited for 91 mph in a 75 mph zone. A spokesperson for the Browns told that Shedeur was 'taking care of the tickets' and that the team had addressed the citations with him. Shilo Sanders Shilo Sanders/YouTube Advertisement In body cam footage during the June 17 stop, police officers commented that he had been 'cool' with them during the interaction and that they were giving a break to the woman who was also stopped with him. During the stop, Shedeur didn't initially think he was going as fast as police said he was. 'I'm like, you were 100 percent going that fast, it's all on camera, man,' one officer could be heard telling another as he sat in the police cruiser. Advertisement Shedeur, a fifth round pick in the 2024 NBA Draft, purportedly addressed the situation in a video posted on social media this week, which showed a conversation between him and teammate David Njoku's charity. 'I've made some wrong choices personally, and I can own up to them,' Shedeur said. 'I made some, you know, not great choices. … I learned.'

Shilo Sanders pokes fun at Shedeur's recent speeding tickets

Browns quarterback Shedeur Sanders has picked up a couple of speeding tickets this month. He also has received a dig from his brother, Buccaneers safety Shilo Sanders. Via Shilo made the comment in the latest episode of his Tampa Food Tour. 'I know we out here in Tampa we got to be careful crossing the street, especially if Shedeur is out here,' Shilo said. While Shilo was joking, it shows how Shedeur's behavior has quickly become a low-hanging punchline. It's not what he needs at a time when he's still reeling from draft-weekend free fall, and when he's (by all appearances) sitting at No. 4 on the Browns' depth chart with training camp looming. The best strategy for the next months is simple. Don't speed.

Cam Newton slams Antonio Brown for trying to sabotage Shilo Sanders' NFL future over viral training video controversy

NFL veteran Cam Newton isn't staying silent when it comes to protecting young athletes from potentially damaging narratives—especially when they're being targeted by controversial former wide receiver Antonio Brown. Tired of too many ads? go ad free now On his '4th and 1' podcast, Newton took a strong stance in defense of Shilo Sanders, son of NFL legend Deion 'Prime' Sanders, after Brown shared old training footage seemingly meant to humiliate the young defensive back. Antonio Brown posts edited clips, ignites backlash from Cam Newton The drama began when Antonio Brown posted a video showing Shilo Sanders struggling during a training session with him years ago. Brown, known as much for his erratic behavior as his football career, used the clip to mock Shilo and criticize the Sanders family. In his post, Brown accused Deion Sanders of using him to help his 'sorry kids,' referring to both Shilo and Shedeur Sanders. Newton, however, wasn't having it. He called out the selective editing of the footage, questioning why only 'two clips' from a full workout session were shared. 'In defense of Shilo, he's trying to carve out a place on the team,' Newton said, referencing Shilo's current battle to make the Tampa Bay Buccaneers roster as an undrafted free agent. Cam Newton provides crucial context to protect Shilo Sanders' reputation Newton revealed that Shilo himself sent the uncut footage to Brown in an attempt to show the full story. According to Newton, the videos depicted a much younger Shilo—possibly still in high school—being put through drills by Antonio Brown, who at the time was one of the NFL's most dominant receivers. 'He was a youngin',' Newton emphasized. 'And you're talking about A.B. in his prime going against a teenager? That's not a fair matchup.' Tired of too many ads? go ad free now Perhaps most notably, Newton acknowledged the real-world consequences such footage could have on a player's future. 'The release of that content was not ideal for Shilo's situation,' he admitted, recognizing how the negative attention could derail a young athlete's path to a pro career.
