SPIDER-MAN: BRAND NEW DAY Rumored to Bring in Shang-Chi, Silver Samurai, Viper... and the Alien Suit — GeekTyrant
Here we go again, Spider-Man: Brand New Day rumors are spreading online like a wild fire. The latest claims come from insider Alex Perez at The Cosmic Circus, who says he's he's seen concept art that show that Tom Holland's next MCU outing will pit him against Silver Samurai and Viper, with none other than Shang-Chi fighting by his side. According to Perez, these two villains, last seen teamed up in The Wolverine (2013), could be the main antagonists. 'What I heard involves a connection [between Peter Parker and Bruce] dating back to the earliest days of the MCU and exploring some uncharted territory for both characters' personal histories,' he adds, implying a deeper story that brings The Hulk into play too. Now, before anyone gets too hyped, let's pump the brakes. Perez previously claimed that Spider-Man: Brand New Day would feature Venom and Knull following the release of Venom: The Last Dance , so we're definitely in 'take it with a grain of salt' territory. That said, the idea of Spider-Man clashing swords with Silver Samurai and dodging toxins from Viper in a global martial-arts-flavored showdown? Yeah, it's wild enough to be interesting. It's also worth noting that Perez believes that Brand New Day , Daredevil: Born Again , and The Punisher Special Presentation are the only MCU projects leading directly into the long-rumored Mayor Fisk storyline. If true, this could be the first major link between Peter Parker and the darker street-level world of the MCU. As for that alien costume, according to the report, Spidey's black suit will indeed appear in the movie, which instantly cranks up the speculation machine about Symbiotes, Multiverse crossovers, and all kinds of narrative mayhem. Viper aka Madame Hydra is a deadly martial artist, toxin expert, and terrorist with ties to Hydra and a long history of battling heroes like Wolverine and Captain America. Silver Samurai, meanwhile, is a mutant with a tachyon-charged blade capable of slicing through nearly anything. He's most often a Wolverine nemesis, but has been known to blur the lines between villain and anti-hero. Directed by Shang-Chi filmmaker Destin Daniel Cretton, with a script from MCU vets Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers, Holland stars alongside Zendaya, Sadie Sink, and Liza Colón-Zayas. Spider-Man: Brand New Day is set to hit theaters on July 31, 2026.

Marvel Studios Stacks 2028 with Four Theatrical Releases, So What Happened To Their Scaling Back Plan? — GeekTyrant
Marvel is apparently going big again in 2028, adding a fourth film to its release calendar for that year for December 15. The other dates set for that year include February 18, May 5, and November 10. This new slot has fans speculating about what films will fill these dates. Is it finally time for the X-Men to officially enter the spotlight? Could Blade rise from development hell? Or is Marvel keeping a bigger surprise under wraps? Variety broke the news of the additional release, but didn't reveal the film's title because Marvel hasn't either. What we do know is that several projects are officially in development, but currently date-less: Shang-Chi 2 , Black Panther 3 , Armor Wars , and of course, the highly-anticipated X-Men movie. Other movies that are rumored include Avengers: Secret Wars Part 2 , Eternals 2 , and even a potential Scarlet Witch solo movie as possibilities. The thing about releasing four Marvel films in one year is that it goes against the plan they've talked about in regards to scaling back. Disney CEO Bob Iger has publicly said the company is scaling back, saying: "We're slowly going to decrease volume and go to probably about two TV series a year instead of what had become four, and reduce our film output from maybe four a year to two or at the maximum three, and we're working hard on what that path is, we've got a couple of good films in '25 and then we're heading to more Avengers, which we're extremely excited about." So… what gives? Is this four-movie year a temporary exception, a reshuffling, or a sign that plans are still very much in flux behind the scenes? Whatever the answer is, 2028 just became a key year for the MCU, and it will be interesting to see what four movies fill it up.
