Set for life draw results: Full list of the winning numbers

One ticket holder has struck it lucky after winning the Set for Life £10,000 a month for a year prize. The lottery draw was held last night and the winning numbers were 8, 10, 12, 28 and 45. The life ball number was 9. No one got all five numbers and the life ball, which would have seen them win £10,000 a year for 30 years. However, one holder matched five numbers, which means they win £10,000 a month for a year. It's not clear if the prize has been claimed. Set For Life is an annuity lottery, which means that its biggest prizes are paid out in regular instalments over an extended period of time, rather than in one lump sum. If you win the top prize you will receive regular payments into your bank account of £10,000 a month for the next 30 years. The second prize pays out £10,000 a month for 12 months. There is a prize fund cap of £16 million, which would require five players to match all the numbers. If this ever happens, each winner will be given the choice as to whether to receive their share of the £16 million as an annuity or a lump sum. If you enter as a syndicate, the National Lottery will only pay out the prize to a single claimant, so the syndicate would need to decide who is responsible for claiming the prize and how the annuity payments will be shared with other members of the syndicate. From time to time, the National Lottery holds Set For Life Super Chance draws. In these draws, you only have to match five main numbers to win the top prize of £10,000 for 30 years. This week mum-of-four Olivia Love, 36, shared what she does day-to-day after winning £10,000 a month for a year. The 36-year-old scooped her Set for Life prize in May and has since quit her supermarket job. More Trending Yesterday it was revealed the lucky EuroMillions winner who scooped £208,000,000 on Tuesday bought their ticket in County Cork. The prize – the largest in EuroMillions history – remained unclaimed for a couple of days but the winner has now made contact with the National Lottery, it was confirmed. The jackpot had been sat at £208million for two weeks after it reached its maximum size earlier this month. This will be Ireland's 18th winner of the EuroMillions jackpot. 'I went from Universal Credit to lottery win and made major life change'

Scottish couple and parents of four Olivia and Kevin Love won £10,000 a month for 12 months on the National Lottery - and Olivia has already made a big announcement about her future On May 29, a mother -of-four named Olivia Love took to social media to share the thrilling news that she and her husband, Kevin Love, had won big on the lottery. One morning in May, Olivia was laying in bed before getting her kids up for school. But unlike her typical routine, she received an email notifying her of a win on the National Lottery. Olivia anticipated seeing a modest £5 win from the five Lucky Dips tickets she'd purchased. Instead, she was left in shock when her account showed she'd bagged the second highest prize – an impressive £10,000 a month for a year. ‌ "And I was like 'what? That's weird," she recalled, explaining how she took a screenshot of the website to send to her husband who was at work. She recalled: "I was like, 'Babe, I think we've just won the lottery." ‌ Olivia went on with her usual morning routine, getting her four children ready for nursery before revisiting the National Lottery website while they were having their breakfast. Once logged in, she found a message confirming her 'Set for Life' win and instructing her to contact their Customer Care team. She said: "And I was like, what the f***, I think I just won the lottery. That's nuts!" Following her announcement, Olivia was quickly met with several questions about how she and her husband were planning on spending their winnings on. Her response, however, left many taken aback. She revealed she'd made one major life change, replying: "In my case, I've left my job." Previously, Olivia worked part-time in a supermarket, earning £800 a month. With four children, her childcare costs amounted to £1,800 a month. ‌ Because of this, the couple had initially filed for Universal Credit to help pay up to 80% of these expenses. However, after winning the money, they no longer meet the eligibility criteria for the benefit. As a result, Olivia has chosen to take a year-long break from her job to reduce their childcare expenses while also spending more quality time with her children. Olivia has also shared her future career plans, which include spending her year away from work to launch her own business as a Wedding Content Creator. To achieve this goal, the mother plans to enrol in videography and video editing courses. ‌ Aside from her career aspirations, the family's daily life has not seen any significant changes. The couple still devotes most of their time to caring for their young children. However, Olivia has started receiving more assistance around the house. She has hired cleaners and gardeners and even has someone to collect her laundry. The couple has also shared videos from their shopping excursions, where they've indulged in luxuries they previously couldn't afford. They now do their grocery shopping at M&S and have also settled their Council Tax in full, as this was something they "hated" doing on a monthly basis before. Olivia also revealed that she and her family are currently planning vacations to Wales and Scotland. She said: "I think my husband and I are going to try going to some of the fanciest hotels in Scotland as a treat." Viewers have been flooding the comments section with messages of congratulations and support for the family. One wrote: "I get the vibe from this video alone that you two absolutely deserve this win!". Meanwhile, another commenter beautifully summed up the value of quality time spent with loved ones, saying: "Even only if you spent all the money in a year... that's a year at home with your babies."

N.B. lotto winner decides against lump sum — opts for $1,000 a week for next 25 years

Barbara Nelson of Saint John, N.B., has worked at the same chain restaurant for many years. Most mornings, she picks up a Scratch'N Win lottery ticket on her way in and plays it in the break room before her shift. That simple routine just changed her life, with Nelson winning the top prize with her Set for Life ticket. The jackpot comes with a choice: lump-sum payout of $675,000 or $1,000 a week for the next 25 years. The New Brunswicker decided to go with the latter, and now, she's ready to hang up her apron and head into early retirement. 'With the way the economy has been going, I didn't figure I would get to retire early, or retire at all,' Nelson said. 'This says, 'Yes, you can.'' Nelson chose the annuity, giving her a reliable income stream for the next two and a half decades. That $1,000-a-week payout also adds up to $1.3 million — almost double the lump sum. With summer just around the corner, Nelson says she's especially looking forward to reclaiming her weekends, something she rarely had off while working. 'All the things that go on through the summer all happen on the weekends and I was always working the weekends,' Nelson said. 'Now I can do what I want and figure out what that is, instead of trying to pay bills. I can enjoy the summer.' She purchased her winning ticket at the Esso Proxi Church in Saint John. Her prize marks the seventh and final top prize awarded in the 4091 series of the game. For Nelson, that top-prize means one thing: retirement and freedom to enjoy life on her own terms. 'I like the Set for Life prize, that's why I get that ticket,' she said. 'Now I'm just going to sit back and see where it leads me and let what comes, come.' Lottery player spends $2 on CA game. Now they will get a prize for next 25 years

A Northern California lottery player will get a chunk of money for the next 25 years after winning a massive prize. Roseann Saporita bought a $2 Set for Life scratch-off from a MD Liquor & Food in Santa Rose, the California Lottery said in a June 4 news release. Saporita played the game, and it revealed a $1.2 million prize, lottery officials said. Instead of taking the lump sum option, Saporita chose to get a $4,000 monthly payment for the next 25 years. Another player won the same prize in Southern California. Hugo Brenes bought a ticket from a Mobil Station in Lakewood, which is in Los Angeles County, the lottery office said. Unlike Saporita, Brenes decided to take the lump sum option of $696,000.
