Shubh Anandam XI, opting to bat first, put up a total of 181 runs with Divyansh Pandey contributing a solid 63. Madhav Gupta was the standout bowler, taking 5 wickets for 47 runs. Yadav Memorial U-16 cricket: Chandra Cricket Academy overcame TSH Academy by 18 runs in the inaugural match of Prof D Y Yadav Memorial Under–16 cricket tournament at IIT grounds on Wednesday.
Chandra Cricket Academy, batting first, managed 96 runs and restricted TSH Academy to 78. Deepak Singh picked up 4 wickets for 5 runs.
In another fixture, North East Academy defeated Sapru Academy by 3 runs. North East Academy posted 111 in 20 overs, with Sapru Academy finishing on 108 for 8 in their 20 overs.
The tournament was inaugurated at ACES ground, IIT, by chief guest Prof Ark Verma and guest of honour Prof Kaustubh Kulkarni.
KDMA league: County Club edged past Reserve Bank of India by one wicket in the KDMA league match at Gems ground on Wednesday. Reserve Bank of India posted 183 runs, with County club replying with 187 for 9 wickets.
Deaf sports championships starts tomorrow: Around 400 deaf and dumb players from 24 states will participate in the national deaf senior, junior and sub junior championship slated to be held here at VSSD college from June 13.
According to officials of the deaf sports association of UP, Karate and wrestling national championships will be held from June 13 to 16. Judo and Taekwondo championship will be held from June 20 to 23. The gold winners of this championship will represent the country in deaf olympics slated to be held in Japan from Nov 15 to 26.
