This house is on the market for the price of a bag of crisps It has an auction guide price of just £1 but what is waiting for you at Love Cottage Rundown house or a bag of crisps? (Image: Paul Fosh Auctions ) Next time you're tucking into a bag of Walker's ready salted crisps (other crisp companies and flavour choices are available) you might think that instead of indulging in your favourite snack you could be buying a house. It's very, very unlikely that Love Cottage is going to sell at auction for its £1 guide price, but maybe for the same price as a multibag of crisps option? But the incredibly low starting bid is eye-catching and surely worth a further look at the property that is going under the hammer shortly and looking for a new owner. The 'crisp bag' property is called Bwthyn Cariad, which translates to Love Cottage, needs plenty of love and a dedicated budget to renovate it, revive it, and release its full potential as a much-loved home again. Goes down hill somewhat in the bathroom (Image: Paul Fosh Auctions ) Sean said: 'The mid-terraced property has certainly seen much better days. But there is plenty of scope presented by what is there and added to that the property has a very large garden which could also be exploited and an auction guide price of just £1! 'Currently the property has two lower ground floor rooms with two bedrooms upstairs with the expansive garden which extends down the rear of Meyrick Street. It would seem that the lot offers a number of development opportunities, subject to obtaining planning permission. Piles of rubble and broken doors - but what do you expect for £1? (Image: Paul Fosh Auctions ) 'The first could be to renovate and refurbish to a high standard for holiday lets due to its proximity to many of Pembrokeshire top tourist areas. Typically, a refurbished two-bedroom cottage would generate in the region of 28k per annum net as a holiday let. 'A second option could be to renovate and refurbish to a high standard as a long term let. There could be a high demand for this kind of refurbished property from young professionals and local workers and could achieve a monthly rental of some £900 per calendar month." For more property stories join our Amazing Welsh Homes Facebook group here The renovation 'to do' list is long but the rewards are worth it says the auction house (Image: Paul Fosh Auctions ) Sean says another idea for the property could be to renovate and refurbish it to a high standard and sell on the open market. He said: "Renovated a typical, two-bedroom high standard property in this area could sell for between £160,000 and £185,000. 'There is also an option to renovate and sell the garden space that runs up Meyrick Street that's with the property. Parcels of land could be sold to individual houses along Meyrick Street and then retain the house with a portion of the remaining garden space." There is outside space but also exterior work to do (Image: Paul Fosh Auctions ) The property is located within close proximity of the main shopping area of Pembroke Dock, a town located some three miles north west of Pembroke and seven miles south of Haverfordwest with good road links provided by the A477 which links to the A40 at Johnstown. Pembroke Dock provides a comprehensive range of shopping and recreational pursuits also it benefits from a rail station North West of the property providing further transport links. Edinburgh tour guide holding 24-hour gameathon says hobby has 'helped him escape'
Our community members are treated to special offers, promotions and adverts from us and our partners. You can check out at any time. More info An Edinburgh tour guide who is holding a 24-hour gameathon has said he's been able to 'escape the stress of everyday life' through gaming. Sean Forrest, who works for Rabbie's Tours, will be gaming for a full day in support of Health in Mind. While the pastime can often be seen through a 'negative perspective, Sean feels it has been 'critical' for him throughout his life in building relationships and spending 'quality time' with others. From 9am on June 20, Sean will be streaming his lengthy gaming session on Twitch. Sean said: "As someone lucky enough to have the support of a psychologist through my childhood, mental health quickly became a topic I strived to break the stigma about. "When I moved to Edinburgh to study, I worked as a resident assistant, where I first heard about Health in Mind. One of the students expressed feeling homesick, overwhelmed, and isolated. "They explained that if it weren't for Health in Mind helping build their resilience, hope and showing them ways to support their mental health, they would have dropped out. Sign up for Edinburgh Live newsletters for more headlines straight to your inbox "This experience spoke to me. It helped me understand how lucky I was to have received the help and support I needed when I was little, and that not everyone was so fortunate. "Shortly after, I decided I had to do everything I could to make my corner of the world brighter, and a great place to start was combining my inspiration – Health in Mind – and one of my core coping strategies, gaming. "Gaming can sometimes be seen through a negative perspective. However, for my whole life, gaming has been critical in fostering relationships, spending quality time with others, living shared experiences and escaping the stress of everyday life." (Image: Supplied) Sean believes 'play of any form' is necessary for building bonds with peers and 'testing your resolve'. He added: "It relieves the worry of failure and promotes creative and innovative thinking. "I believe that play is something hardly any of us allow ourselves to do with the stress of modern life but it should be encouraged in moderation, with other healthy coping strategies for mental health." It's now grown from him sitting on a webcam to a 'full-blown' event. He's running it with the support of Rabbie's Tours, after colleagues expressed interest in joining. He added: "I took my passion and made it into a challenge. Many of my colleagues expressed that they would love to participate in a 24-hour gaming marathon, but would never have the time or space to do so. "Rabbie's has not only shown incredible support, but has been generous enough to encourage staff to use paid volunteering days to participate." You can find Sean's Just Giving page here.

EastEnders fans spot big clue another Slater is 'returning' - and it's not Lynne
After the excitement of Zoe Slater's return, eagle-eyed EastEnders fans think they've spotted a huge clue that another Slater will be returning to Albert Sqaure Last night saw the return of EastEnders legend Zoe Slater (Michelle Ryan), and now eagle-eyed fans predict a return for another Slater after spotting a huge online clue. The soap had kept Zoe's shock return under wraps until the end of Monday night's episode. However, some fans had worked it out through social media clues the BBC soap had been dropping. Now, they've spotted another huge social media clue, which has them believing Stacey's brother Sean Slater (Rob Kazinsky) may be making a shock return. Sean left the Square in 2009, shortly after he found out that Amy was Jack Branning's daughter, and not his. On a rampage, Sean tried to drown Roxy, Amy, and himself in an icy lake, before Ronnie interjected. He then went on the run - but returned to the soap ten years later mother Jean's cancer diagnosis. Now, fans think he's about to make a return once again as Rob and new Executive Producer Ben Wadey both follow each other on Instagram. Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, one fan penned: "Ben Wadey and Rob Kazinsky follow each other... is it finally happening??? #EastEnders," as another responded: "Probably come back to take Lacey on her maternity leave." A third commented: "Can definitely see him return to the show again," as a fourth begged: "Oh please! "Kind of don't want to get my hopes up too much tho!" Despite not showing his face in Albert Square since 2019, Sean was recently mentioned on the soap. Following the death of Martin Fowler, Stacey went to stay with her brother to get away from the Square, later returning for Martin's funeral. The prediction from fans comes less than 24 hours after they were left stunned by the return of Zoe. To avoid spoilers, the BBC One soap decided against dropping the episode on iPlayer at 6am, as fans all tuned in a 7.30pm. Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter at the end of the episode when the big reveal dropped, one fan wrote: "ZOE BLOODY SLATER #EastEnders." "ZOE YOU CAN'T TELL ME WHAT TO DO YOU AIN'T MY MOTHER SLATER IS BACK! #eastenders," another rejoiced as a third wrote: "An actual Zoe Slater return i can't believe my eyes #EastEnders." Could a return for Sean really be on the cards?
