Seth Rollins, Bron Breakker, and Bronson Reed to get new stablemates in two prominent NXT stars
Seth Rollins and Paul Heyman's new faction (Image via WWE) Seth Rollins is rolling into WWE as one of the biggest stars of the division and has shown through his hard work and domineering personality how fortune truly favors the brave. Recently, after the infamous Paul Heyman betrayal that left not just fans, but also Roman Reigns and CM Punk completely shocked, Rollins has found a new group to have his back. Although who knows when betrayal strikes again. But for now, looks like this new stable is looking to add more stablemates, and NXT stars Ethan Page and Ricky Saints are said to be in the mix. Former and current NXT North American Champions could join Seth Rollins' stable The Former NXT North American Champion, Ricky Saints, who recently lost his title to the current NXT North American Champion, Ethan Page, are both in consideration to join Seth Rollins and Paul Heyman's brand new stable. Rollins already has Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed on his side, and could be adding two more to the equation. Fightful had previously reported that WWE had no plans on adding more members to the stable, at least until the WrestleMania weekend. But things seem to have changed after the Saturday Night Main Event episode back in May, when Bronson Reed joined Rollins and Breakker inside the ring to take out CM Punk. Paul Heyman is, of course, also a part of this group after he betrayed not only Roman Reigns but also CM Punk and changed the course of their storyline to a completely different route. And now, according to Bodyslam, WWE is planning on adding more members to this exciting new stable. And the two NXT stars who recently fought it out amongst each other are their top choices for the job. Both Ethan Page and Ricky Saints are exceptional wrestlers and have taken the NXT crowd by storm. So it is not a surprise that WWE is planning to make a shift and bring them to the big leagues. While this could mean exciting new things happening inside the Stamford-based promotion, things are not set in stone. This stable has a lot of potential, and adding new stars to the mix could go either way. Until then, fans can enjoy Seth Rollins and Paul Heyman's brand new stable as it is, and keep their fingers crossed for what comes next. Goldberg is ready to give one last show to his fans before WWE retirement
Goldberg (Image via WWE) Once one of the biggest in-ring names in the WCW, Goldberg joined WWE a few years into the transition after his contract with AOL Time Warner expired. He then went on a break for a few years before returning to the WWE stage in 2016. But at 58 years of age, he is not what he once was, and it's starting to slow him down a little. This is why he is now getting ready for his last match in the squared circle, preparing for his retirement from WWE. Goldberg talks WWE retirement and the toll it is taking on his body Goldberg wants his retirement match to be a once-in-a-lifetime thing and, thus, is preparing heavily for it. He said that he knows when his last match is going to be, but getting ready for it has not been easy. Heavy training has taken its toll and injuries have been popping up one after the other. Appearing on CarCast , the WWE veteran said that he has injured himself multiple times while getting fight-ready for the finale. "I know the date (of my retirement match). No one else knows the date public-wise… I hurt myself a couple times in the past three months. But I pulled back... I've got a very high bar to set that I set for myself and 99 times out of a hundred, it's unrealistic… I've been in the ring a couple times. I'm gonna get in the ring again today and it's just tough, man. It is tough.' Goldberg said that he knows it is unrealistic, especially at this age, to think that his body can handle the pressure that he is putting it in. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Giao dịch vàng CFDs với mức chênh lệch giá thấp nhất IC Markets Đăng ký Undo But at the same time, he wants to do the best he can in what would be his goodbye to something he has loved for so long. There have been some rumors that he could be at the Saturday Night Main Event in Atlanta in July, which could serve as his retirement stage, but it's been speculation as of now. Goldberg is ready to give his all one last time Goldberg is ready to put in his everything, even if it means a couple of injuries on the way. From Muay Thai to some really intense workout sessions, the WWE Hall of Famer is not pulling any stops. He has blown his shoulders and bicep and pulled his hamstring, all while trying to throw a high kick. But none of that is going to stop him. 'I'm not just showing up to show up. I need to show up and be me… That was the first day that I felt really good.' He knows what's at stake, and is not going to let his fans down at any cost, even if it means sporting a couple of injuries and whatnot. Fans will definitely be waiting to learn more about his retirement match, while Goldberg gets ready for one last fight. SmackDown recap & reactions: Polish the Peacemaker
The main event segment of this week's episode of Friday Night SmackDown from Knoxville was all about WWE Champion John Cena making his return and Cody Rhodes following him up. These two finally met again at Saturday Night's Main Event this past weekend, and it set the stage for a tag team match at Money in the Bank. Advertisement So how would they build to that? Rhodes was out first to talk about how he felt in the wake of losing the championship at WrestleMania. He retreated within for a time, maybe had a drink or two, and confided in a friend about it. He asked 'was I a good champion?' He was told he faced some really difficult challenges and responded to them well. Yes, he was a good champion. Rhodes thought about the year he had, AJ Styles getting the drop on him, his friend sucker punching him, his boss pushing him, The Final Boss asking for his soul and how sincere he was with all of it. And he also thought about none other than John Cena. Advertisement He did exactly what he said he was going to do, forcing Cody to make a choice, and 'I hesitated.' If Cena ruins wrestling like he says he's going to, Rhodes says he's partially to blame for that. 'If you are listening, champ, I need you to know that I will never hesitate with you again.' Character growth? He got back to chatting with the fans and said he's finally back and came with a surprise. They already knew what it was — YEET! They worked the gimmick — including doing the encore — but before Jey could speak, Cena made his way out. He called the two of them 'John Cena wannabes' and it makes him sick. Rhodes wants his fame and Jey wants his money but they're too desperate and too lazy to get either. Advertisement There's only one other human being in WWE who embodies hustle, loyalty, and respect with the fortune, fame, and followers to back that up. Cena introduced that man, his partner at Money in the Bank. Friggin' Logan Paul, man. The boos were tremendous. Cena got some cheers mixed in, because that's just how it's always going to be. Paul rightfully pointed out he could walk on water and the fans who just say it's only because he can't swim. He ran down Jey and Cody, calling them 'nepo babies born on third thinking they hit a triple' while he and Cena are self made men. Paul also put over Cena as the Last Real Champion and called himself the future of this company. It was actually a damn good promo, especially considering who he was cutting it in front of. Advertisement Jey told them they could run it right now. John tried to leave when Logan tapped him and told him they should tussle. A brief argument ended when Rhodes made a joke about Logan polishing the Peacemaker. The ensuing physical confrontation saw the babyfaces get the best of it, and Rhodes celebrate by holding up the title he lost. I never thought I would see the day that Logan Paul is carrying some of the weight for John Cena but here we are. And it kind of rules. I'm ready for this one, folks. WWE was in Knoxville for this show, and despite the fact that she's still injured, Bianca Belair made her return. They treated it like a big homecoming, threw on Rocky Top, and let everyone sing and have a good time. Fun was had. Advertisement Belair called it not just home but her 'safe space.' She's been through so much, she just wanted to come back home to heal up. She promised to continue doing everything she can to get back to the ring fully healthy and the fans all cheered. It was a decent little feel good moment for all involved. And then Naomi showed up. They booed her like she was Dirty Dominik Mysterio in literally any city in America. Naomi claimed she wanted to talk to Belair about everything that happened between them, and then outright begged for forgiveness. Then it got weird. Real weird. Naomi admitted to going by Belair's parent's house, and even letting herself in when they weren't home. She found a photo album and went through it, finding satisfaction in how happy Bianca was and allowing that to remind her of the good times they had together. Advertisement Belair, of course, was disgusted and again shut Naomi down. Tears were shed. They gave way to maniacal rage and threats on the family. This Naomi character is utterly unhinged, and it's maybe the best thing she's ever done. I thought it was overdone at first but she's gotten much more comfortable with it and has become deeply unsettling in the best way possible. Jade Cargill showed up to fight Naomi off and then Nia Jax joined the party so they could go right into their triple threat Money in the Bank qualifying match. They had a relatively hard fought battle all around before a superplex powerbomb led to Jax going for an Annihilator but only hitting Cargill. Jax rolled her up off that and got the pin to advance. This was absolutely the right call and for my money they should push as hard as they can with this character. She's fantastic. Advertisement They gave her a confrontation with current Women's Champion Tiffany Stratton backstage a bit later. They also had Alexa Bliss show up to remind us she, too, is in the Money in the Bank ladder match. She's great too but I'm all the way behind Naomi at this point. All the rest R-Truth met JC Mateo and called him 'husky' before asking Solo Sikoa to take him to the ring and teach him a lesson. They're big boned, Truth said. Sikoa just wanted to have fun but Jacob Fatu left them to their own devices for all that because he had other business to attend to. Meanwhile, you'll never guess what happened when Truth met Mateo in the ring. Oh, you think it was a glorified squash match? Then yeah, you totally could guess. Jimmy Uso made the save after the match and commentary reminded us Solo wants to woo him back to the group. Mateo laid him out anyway and it sure looks like a reunion isn't even necessary. Anyway, I think we've all moved on from this thing haven't we? Chelsea Green's nose is broken so she had the Secret Hervice hold up a photo of her in front of her face while talking to SmackDown GM Nick Aldis. This is the kind of ridiculous fun pro wrestling is great for. Green is the best in roles like this. They chatted until they got Alba Fyre booked to wrestle Zelina Vega. Later in the evening, Vega overcame THAT DAMN NUMBERS GAME to defeat Fyre after the Code Red. They're pushing Vega as crafty and resilient, someone who always finds a way. It's a good angle for her. Of course, they teased Giulia coming after her, so she'll need to be every bit of that soon enough if that's the direction they go. Sounds fun to me! The Street Profits called the tag team division on the blue brand the best of any promotion. Naturally, pretty much the entirety of the division showed up to say they deserve the next shot at the titles. Tommaso Ciampa actually said the division has been killed by the rest of them and asked for a moment of silence. Naturally, that's when the lights went down and The Wyatt Sicks showed up to crash the party, effectively wiping everyone out and kinda sorta proving Ciampa right. If you're into this, it's great, if you're not, well, at least it's not the worst thing? I can never decide how I feel about it from week to week. Je'Von Evans got to work a match on this week's show, teaming up with Rey Fenix to take on Legado del Fantasma as a way to preview Worlds Collide and get some play for NXT, as North American Champion Ethan Page was also on commentary for it. There was a time that would have felt like the most bizarre thing in the world, huh? Anyway, Evans looked great, like it won't be long before he's a main roster mainstay winning a lot of Intercontinental championships. He came up short here, however, as Los Garza took care of business thanks to Page interfering. This was all pretty well done, and a solid showing for everyone involved. The Miz claimed he gave up his chance to be in the Money in the Bank qualifying match so that Carmelo Hayes could be in it. Miz promised to lead him to greatness if he wins too. Hayes rebuked all of this, claimed he's here on his own talent, and drove a wedge right between them. It sure looks like these two will be done sooner rather than later. Damian Priest got some time on the mic to say that he put Drew McIntyre in the past with that Con-Chair-To at Saturday Night's Main Event. He still can't stand McIntyre but the guy who went into the cage with him was the old Drew, the warrior, and he appreciated that. As for what's next, he said there's a champion he considers the most badass right now and it's someone he has unfinished business with — Jacob Fatu. He respects him and he's proud of him but he doesn't respect the crew he follows around. He promised to come for him sooner rather than later. That match could be fun. As he was heading to the back, Fatu came out for his qualifier. They shared a brief staredown and a nod of the head. Sure. That qualifier happened right after all this, and it was a damn fun match. At the end, Sikoa and Mateo hit the ring to get involved but Jimmy Uso showed up again to throw Mateo out of the way. Fatu was distracted by it all, and ended up getting knocked into Sikoa and taken out of the ring by Hayes. Andrade took advantage of the confusion and punched his ticket by taking down Hayes. Immediately, Fatu was arguing with his crew ringside while Andrade celebrated on his way to the back. This was probably the right call here but it feels wrong seeing Fatu lose matches like this, even when he doesn't have to take the pin. They ended on Fatu angrily storming off from Sikoa backstage. This was a solid show from the blue brand. Grade: B Your turn. More from

WWE Saturday Night Main Event Live: Check Full Match Card, Streaming Details
Last Updated: The WWE Saturday Night Main Event will see John Cena taking on R-Truth and Jey Uso putting his heavyweight championship title on the line. A World Heavyweight Championship clash and a Steel-Cage match, combined with legendary John Cena's non-title fight, mark the upcoming WWE Saturday Night Main Event on 24 May at the Yuengling Center in Tampa, Florida. No changes have been made by the WWE to its original full match card for the event, starting at 5:30 am (Sunday) Indian Standard Time. Undisputed WWE champion John Cena's farewell tour continues to create interest with the addition of a non-title face-off with R-Truth. Speculation is rife as to why the Cena-Truth clash is a non-title affair. However, Cena's return to the main event full card is expected to cause great excitement among fans. The WWE has attempted to spice up the event by surprisingly setting up Truth against Cena despite the 53-year-old helping him retain the championship at Backlash. A World Heavyweight Championship match between Jey Uso and Logan Paul is also set to entertain fans at the WWE Saturday Night Main Event. The match allows Paul to bag his first world championship crown after enjoying recent WWE scraps against Uso. The 30-year-old decked Uso at Raw with his huge right hand and left the scene triumphant, making it the fourth time he has laid his opponent out. It should be an intense game as Uso puts his championship on the line. In another game, CM Punk will join hands with Sami Zayn to battle it out in a Tag Team match against Seth Rollins and Bron Breakker. The elements are combining well for what could be a clash full of chaotic scenes, leading to a potentially entertaining end with potential third-party interference from Uso. A Steel-Cage match between Damian Priest and Drew McIntyre rounds off the main event full card as the two stars prepare for another brutal match. Priest and McIntyre were involved in an intense game at WrestleMania 41, and the WWE has now attempted to reignite the spat for the fans. Which TV channels will broadcast the WWE Saturday Night Main Event Matches? The WWE Saturday Night Main Event will not be televised in India due to the lack of an official broadcaster. How do I watch the WWE Saturday Night Main Event online? Indian wrestling fans can watch the WWE event live on Netflix. What time can I watch the WWE Saturday Night Main Event? WWE SmackDown results, highlights (May 16): John Cena and R-Truth set to meet at Saturday Night's Main Event
R-Truth and John Cena are going to have one more match. (Photo by WWE/WWE via Getty Images) Greensboro, North Carolina, was treated to a fun night of action at "WWE SmackDown" with Money in the Bank right around the corner. The first qualifiers for the upcoming ladder matches were sorted, title matches were announced and title matches happened. Undisputed WWE Champion John Cena still hasn't been seen on WWE TV since his win at WWE Backlash, but his next opponent has been revealed. Let's just get it out of the way, folks. 🤡Joke of the Night It's officially official. John Cena's heel run is terrible. Why? Besides the obvious we have already witnessed, Cena will take on R-Truth at Saturday Night's Main Event next weekend. Advertisement There needs to be a swerve to this because I can't think of a more wasteful final match for Cena to have, other than providing a few small fun spots here and there. Seriously though. What is this? Why? How does this make sense? Although it's not a title match, which is even more wasteful, R-Truth will take on the guy he helped defend their title ... because he helped said champion cheat to win. This sounds so stupidly unique that, off the top of my head, I can't think of any other booking like this. I don't know how you redeem this Cena run, unless he gets turned back to a face in the Truth match, which felt somewhat teased after he beat Randy Orton. Or have him completely brutalize Truth to the point of discomfort, giving Cena the heat he's missing with the crowd. Advertisement Speaking of Orton, if anything, he should be trying to destroy Truth after being a part of his loss. And that's your swerve, folks. Have Orton punt Truth next week, or even the night before the match. At his wits' end, "WWE SmackDown" general manager Nick Aldis refuses to give Orton a rematch, leading them to the match we were teased for WrestleMania. So, who replaces R-Truth? Since Cena would stay heel in that scenario, no one. Instead, bring back Cody Rhodes for a confrontation. We all know they'll meet again anyway. 👑 Uncrowned Gem of the Night 👑 Solo Sikoa just out of nowhere decided to start "WWE SmackDown" with brilliance and win our Uncrowned Gem of the Night. Advertisement From the entrance presentation to the promo, Sikoa was back to feeling like a big deal despite falling off the radar since he lost to Roman Reigns in January. He was fantastic in his near collision with Jacob Fatu, as he reminded the U.S. Champion of his "I love you, Solo" line. All while crediting Jeff Cobb (now known as JC Mateo) for helping keep the belt in the family at WWE Backlash. It really is wild seeing the human brick wall Cobb in WWE. Despite LA Knight halting Sikoa and Fatu from coming to blows to end the segment, they're very close to coming to a head, and it will be fun when it does happen. Ultimately, we have to give some props to Sikoa after seeing his stock plummet so dramatically this year. 🔺Trifectas of the Night I love when WWE gives us multiple triple threats in one night, thanks to the first Money In the Bank qualifier matches. Advertisement To continue the Sikoa chatter, it was just a good night for the former Bloodline prodigy. Sikoa won against Rey Fenix and Jimmy Uso to advance to the big ladder match. It admittedly wasn't much of a triple threat, as a lot of the action came between pairings of each rather than them all getting involved at once. As much as I don't love The Usos using spears, I also don't love Sikoa winning this simply because of how incredibly fun Fenix would be in the PLE match. He also took the pin, so it was an overall rough result. On the women's side of the action, Alexa Bliss rightfully beat Michin and Chelsea Green. Bliss and Michin started the match hilariously double-teaming against Green to keep her out of the ring as long as possible. The match was fun and frantic, allowing Bliss to show off some technical work as she kept shaking the rust off. I have to say, the DDT variation of the Sister Abigail finisher is too much. It makes the person taking it just look so clueless, allowing it to happen to them with the pause for the arm placement. Bliss becoming "Miss Money In the Bank" again would be fun, but I expect her and Charlotte Flair to have a mid-match feud begin. Advertisement Bliss explained the reason for reaching out last week. It was a nice little callback to their NXT days, when Bliss said Flair took her somewhat under her wing. Flair, in heel fashion, said she didn't remember it and that they barely knew each other. I still think a tag team might be the most interesting outcome between these two, but it's an interesting path to put these two on if they're about to stay intertwined. 😮 Spot of the Night WWE sold me a ticket on that absurd powerbomb counter failure into an An-Nia-lator on Tiffany Stratton against Nia Jax. That had to have knocked the wind out of the Women's Champion before she grabbed the rope to keep the match going. Sheesh. Ultimately, Stratton (thankfully) successfully defended against Jax in the show's main event. Jax looked ridiculously strong, surviving a Prettiest Moonsault Ever before taking a chair dropkick into a second moonsault for Stratton's pin. Advertisement In the middle of the match, Jade Cargill chased off a chair-wielding Naomi in one of the most unnecessary overbooking spots you'll ever see. The latter brought the chair into the ringside area, leading to the finishing sequence, but other than that, they had no impact on the outcome. So, it was a sneaky nice little touch, but could have been done without — especially since it cut Jax open the hard way. WWE somehow has to get Stratton to either a triple-threat match against Naomi and Cargill, or a singles match against either. I, of course, hope for the triple threat, not just for my love of that match type, but because then we won't have to worry about an interference from either contender. 👍 FRIDAY NIGHT FIRE 👍 1. Fraxiom is getting put over early and often on "WWE SmackDown." There's nothing wrong with that. They beat #DIY in another excellent match. They get their title match against The Street Profits next week. 2. Giulia has officially been moved to "WWE SmackDown." After setting the foundation alongside Roxanne Perez in recent weeks, there were some fun routes to explore on "WWE Raw." Regardless, Giula on either show is a big win. She'll face Charlotte Flair and Zelina Vega in a Money In the Bank qualifier next week. That match is going to slap. Advertisement 3. After the triple-threat skirmish, JC Mateo had his debut match against LA Knight and got the win. It was an excellent display for those who have never seen Cobb, and a first win over Knight is a big deal for him. 🤷 SOMEWHERE IN BETWEEN 🤷 1. Damian Priest had a good video package, requesting a steel cage match with Drew McIntyre at Saturday Night's Main Event. The dental record line was gold, and these two will surely put on another great match, but extending their program this far beyond WrestleMania 41 shows how directionless both are right now. The feud should have ended there. Regardless, McIntyre accepted later in the night. 👎 DOWN & OUT 👎 1. Aleister Black beat Carmelo Hayes via disqualification when The Miz attacked him. The match was fine. It wasn't as good as last week, but the problem is that these three will likely all keep this feud going for whatever reason. However, Hayes standing tall with the other two on the ground was an interesting sight, as Black will face Shinsuke Nakamura and LA Knight in a Money In the Bank qualifier next week. Advertisement 2. On the flip side of the third Friday Night Fire, Knight taking a loss clean like he did to Cobb is pretty brutal. He looked weak, and I don't know what direction WWE is trying to take him now, but there needs to be a quick rebuild. 3. Joe Tessitore has gotten very, very over the top with his commentary. We love the passion, but his freak-outs are just kind of comical at certain moments. 👑 I give this show a Crown score of: 8/10.👑
