Report – Sarri Sanctions Midfield Swap Deal Between Italian Internationals With Inter Milan

Maurizio Sarri is ready to green light Lazio moving for Inter Milan midfielder Davide Frattesi, even allowing Nicolo Rovella to go the other way. This according to today's print edition of Rome-based newspaper Il Messaggero, via FCInter1908. Advertisement Coach Maurizio Sarri wants to change things up at Lazio as he prepares for his second spell on the bench at the Stadio Olimpico. According to Il Messaggero, one priority for Sarri is to add more goals from midfield. That is one area in which the Biancocelesti were certainly lacking last season. Therefore, Il Messaggero reports, Sarri has made Davide Frattesi a major target. One thing the 25-year-old does not lack for his goals from midfield. Last season Frattesi scored seven goals for Inter – even without being a regular starter by any means. (Photo by) So much of a priority target is Frattesi for Sarri that he would even be willing to make a big sacrifice to sign the former Sassuolo midfielder. Advertisement According to Il Messaggero, the coach would be willing to lose midfielder Nicolo Rovella. And as it happens, Rovella is a major target for Inter. The Nerazzurri are preparing for the possibility of life without Hakan Calhanoglu – and Rovella is a major target to replace the Turk. Therefore, Inter would certainly be willing to listen to offers for Frattesi including Rovella. Inter are undoubtedly willing to part ways with Frattesi. The Italian international had already reportedly pushed for a transfer in January. And so if Frattesi can be used to dramatically lower the asking price for Rovella from his €50 million release clause, Inter certainly won't be opposed to the idea. The biggest obstacle to such a deal, however, could be wages. Frattesi earns €2.8 million net per season at Inter, whilst Rovella earns just €1.7 million net per season at Lazio.

Sarri said: "I had negotiations with a Saudi club, where I would've earned in one month what I get at Lazio in a whole year. 'I always said that I would follow my heart, not money. But we need to compete in all competitions and we felt we needed to change. I've got an excellent relationship with him. I told him, 'You're always going to be part of our history'. Copy link Copied By Benjamin Sesko latest Arsenal are currently unwilling to meet RB Leipzig's asking price for Benjamin Sesko. That is according to transfer insider Florian Plettenberg, who claims Leipzig demand £68-86million for Sesko. There has been no official offer from the North Londoners yet. Arsenal and the striker's camp remain in contact, but personal terms with the Slovenia international are not yet fully agreed. The Premier League giants are still monitoring Sporting Lisbon star Victor Gyokeres. According to Arsenal are said to have had an initial £55million bid rejected by Sporting, who reportedly want the former Coventry star's full £85m release clause to be met. It is claimed last season's Champions League semi-finalists returned with an improved offer worth £60m but also had that knocked back. The Arsenal top brass are said to have grown frustrated with the ongoing saga. So much so that they are now apparently exploring the cheaper option of signing Watkins or RB Leipzig's Benjamin Sesko. Ex-Chelsea boss 'interested in signing Ruben Loftus-Cheek for Serie A side' despite a difficult second season for the midfielder at AC Milan

Former Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri is believed to be interested in reuniting with Ruben Loftus-Cheek at Lazio. The pair worked together during the Italian's sole season - the 2018-19 campaign - at Stamford Bridge, with Sarri giving the midfielder the constant first-team minutes that he had been craving at the time. Loftus-Cheek, who came through the Chelsea academy, blossomed under the stewardship of Sarri, featuring 40 times in all competitions and scoring 10 times. The 29-year-old is now plying his trade for AC Milan in the Serie A - leaving his boyhood club two years ago - while the Italian coach has recently returned for a second stint as Lazio boss. Sarri resigned from the club in March 2024, only to return in June after 15 months away, and now he has his sights on poaching Loftus-Cheek from the Rossoneri, according to Italian journalist Alfredo Pedulla. The 66-year-old coach is believed to have been interested in bringing Loftues-Cheek to the Stadio Olimpico during his first stint as boss, but he instead opted to move to Milan. Loftus-Cheek's first season in the Serie A was an impressive one after breaking from the cage of Stamford Bridge in search of more first-team minutes. He thrived in the middle of the par under then-boss Stefano Pioli - who has since had a short and sour stint as Al Nassr manager - becoming a mainstay in the Milan side. However, his second season in the fashion capital of Italy did not prove so fruitful as he failed to register a single goal in a campaign disrupted by injury. Now, the ex-Blues star needs rejuvenating and Sarri appears to want to give him a new lease of life once more. Loftus-Cheek arrived at Cobham as an eight-year-old, going on to make 155 senior appearances after rising through the ranks, notching up 13 goals and 17 assists in all competitions. However, due to injuries and competition for places, the Englishman never established himself as a regular and he was sent on loans to London rivals Crystal Palace and Fulham. While once being tipped to become a legend in blue, Loftus-Cheek found it tough to break through a star-studded cast, and last year he admitted that he wished he left the club in his younger years in a bid to shine. 'Being at Chelsea coming through, that was the case,' he told The Times. 'It was very difficult to play a lot of football. Even though you're very talented, Chelsea can bring in another player who's in their prime, just ready to go for millions. 'It is difficult as a young player coming through. But I think if the club has a way of liking and pushing home-grown players through, I think it can be easy. 'I think if you're a youngster, seven or eight years old, and you've signed with Chelsea, fantastic because it's a great academy. And you'll learn how to play football. And you'll develop your skills there. A great coach is coaching you. 'But it gets to a point, maybe at 15, 16, where you're getting to that stage where it's youth-team football. 'And you might want to start thinking about going and playing somewhere else because it's very difficult now to just go straight through. And the best way to develop is by playing games and playing men's football. 'And it's easier to do that somewhere else at a lower club. And I feel like that's what I missed out on, I think.'

Juve eye Osimhen, Milan linked to Zinchenko, Paredes-🇦🇷: transfer news 🤑

The last day of the first transfer window is full of movements (here are all the live negotiations) and the Italian teams are no exception. Let's take a look at the most important transfer news regarding the top Serie A clubs. Juve, Osimhen glimmer Osimhen's 'No' to Al-Hilal puts his future back in question and leaves a small opening for Juventus, as reported by Alfredo Pedullà. Advertisement The main difficulty, according to the Corriere dello Sport, lies in the price: the €75 million clause applies only abroad, and Napoli would ask for €100 million from Italian clubs. Juve – according to Tuttosport – would have liked to offer around €85 million before Giuntoli's dismissal. Milan, Zinchenko as post-Theo As reported by Gianluca Di Marzio, Milan have shown interest in Zinchenko as a replacement for Theo Hernandez. According to Tuttosport, the player was offered to Milan given his limited playing time with Arsenal last season. Should negotiations continue, his salary will need to be adjusted: currently €5 million net. Inter, interest in Gudmundsson According to Tuttosport, Inter have made an informal – but yet to be officially confirmed – €20 million offer to Genoa for Gudmundsson, who is returning from Fiorentina. Advertisement Fiorentina, in fact, did not exercise the €17 million buyout clause and would like to lower the amount with two counterparts: Tommaso Amatucci (midfielder, born 2004) and Tommaso Martinelli, goalkeeper, born 2006. Napoli, speeding up for Musah As Fabrizio Romano reports, Napoli are speeding up for Musah, the Milan midfielder who is highly appreciated by Antonio Conte. The player has already given his approval for the transfer and talks between the clubs are proceeding well. According to Daniele Longo, the price should be €20 million plus bonuses. Roma, Boca pressing for Paredes As written by the Corriere dello Sport, Boca Juniors are pressing for Leandro Paredes: according to Argentine media, there has even been contact between the midfielder and Riquelme, the club's president. Advertisement Boca can exercise a special clause in Paredes' contract: €3.5 million paid to Roma would be enough to buy him. Lazio, another Sarri-Fabiani meeting There has been a new online transfer meeting between Sarri, Fabiani, and Lotito. According to the Corriere dello Sport, the coach reiterated his desire for a quality midfielder. On Wednesday, June 11, there should be another meeting – this time in person – between Sarri and Fabiani. The positions of Dele-Bashiru, Vecino, and Castellanos will be evaluated; the latter is appreciated by the coach but could be sold for €30/35 million. Fiorentina, Bennacer suggestion According to FirenzeViola, if Pioli were to arrive on the Fiorentina bench, one intriguing possibility could be Bennacer: set to leave Milan after Marseille failed to buy him. Advertisement Such a scenario could only materialize if Cataldi returns to Lazio, where Sarri could make the most of him. All decisions will take shape only after the appointment of Fiorentina's new coach. This article was translated into English by Artificial Intelligence.
