Christian Slater's daughters make a rare appearance as they join him at Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony
Christian Slater's daughters made a rare appearance as they joined him in Hollywood to support him at his Walk of Fame ceremony. The 55-year-old actor was honored with a star on Hollywood Boulevard and had his wife Brittany Lopez as well as his daughters by his side for the special occasion. He was also joined by Sarah Michelle Gellar, his co-star in the Dexter: Original Sin spinoff, as well as his Mr. Robot castmate Carly Chaikin for the event. The Blink Twice star shares two children, daughter Lena and a baby boy who will celebrate his first birthday in July, with his wife, 35. He also shares two adult children, son Jaden, 25, and daughter Eliana, 23, with his ex-wife Ryan Haddon. His daughters Eliana and Lena were at his side when his star was unveiled and posed for sweet family photos together. While celebrating the major milestone, he gushed about his family in his acceptance speech. 'I have amazing and wonderful children. I can't imagine my life without them. They are the greatest,' he said. He gushed about his wife and having his kids' support. 'Having a star on Hollywood Boulevard is great, but none of this would have been possible without my family and the love I have today.' He previously spoke about the full circle moment since he used to skate on Hollywood Boulevard as a teenager. When he was age 16, he trained with professional skateboarder Stacy Peralta for the 1989 Gleaming the Cube. It was the beginning of his career when Peralta shared advice he still remembers today. 'He told me the smoothest area to learn to skateboard is the Walk of Fame,' he said. 'There's not a lot of cracks or breaks between the cement because they're always pouring it in for ceremonies. It's one nice, even, flowy ride.' When Variety suggested he could make his grand arrival at the ceremony on a skateboard, he quipped: 'I'm out of practice, but maybe I could try and gleam my way into the ceremony.' Back in August 2024, he spoke to People about experiencing fatherhood again at this stage in his life. Just before he welcomed his youngest child last year, he reflected on raising young children in his 50s. 'The whole thing is different. I'm certainly a lot more present and I just love it,' he said. 'I think I was more scared of it the first go around and a little bit more confused, and I was very distracted,' he continued. 'And now, it's all I really think about, and all I really care about, and all I want to be around. I'm happy to be in that situation.' Slater rose to fame in cult classic films like Heathers and Pump Up the Volume. He also starred in box office hits such as Interview With the Vampire and Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves that made him a silver screen star. In his early career, he was a teen heartthrob and he went on to become a leading man after starring in True Romance and Untamed Heart.

Sarah Michelle Gellar, Allison Hannigan Say ‘Buffy' Reboot Will Honor Michelle Trachtenberg: ‘We'll Do What's Appropriate'
During an interview with Parade, actresses Sarah Michelle Gellar and Alyson Hannigan addressed the 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer' reboot — which was confirmed to be in the works for Hulu earlier this year — but the stars remained mum on details. 'I know never to say never, but I'm excited to hear what Sarah says it's like,' Hannigan said. More from IndieWire Lucie Arnaz Says 'You Can't Talk to Aaron Sorkin,' Reflecting on 'Being the Ricardos' - 'It Was So Wrong' With 'Good Night, and Good Luck' on CNN, George Clooney Trusts the Power of Live TV, One More Time 'That seems fair,' Gellar laughed. Gellar did confirm that the series would pay tribute to the late actress Michelle Trachtenberg, who played her younger sister Dawn Summers seasons 5 through 7. 'We'll be able to do something,' Gellar said. 'We'll do what's appropriate.' 'I'm sure it will be handled with utter grace,' Hannigan added. Gellar, who has reteamed with Hannigan for an awareness campaign surrounding meningitis vaccination, Ask2BSure, said that she and her former co-star share an easy rapport on set. 'We still finish each other's sentences. You know when I'm lost, and I know when you are,' she said. 'I think our … work habits are very similar, so when you approach things the same way, it just evolves.' 'Even shooting, I feel like we just had this … unspoken dialogue,' Hannigan said. Last month, Deadline reported that Ryan Kiera Armstrong would star alongside former cast members in the reboot's pilot — which so far is all that has been ordered. But Gellar was publicly resistant to the idea of a 'Buffy' reboot for many years, saying in 2022, 'I am very proud of the show that we created and it doesn't need to be done … We wrapped that up.' But Gellar flipped on the idea after hearing Oscar-winning director Chloé Zhao's plan for the series' continuation. 'The passion that [she] came to me with, what she wanted to do with the show and the character, and why 'Buffy' is needed now — it was the first time where I thought, 'OK, there's a reason,'' Gellar told Elite Daily. In the same interview, she said the revival had been in the work for four years. 'We won't do it unless it's 100 percent right and there's 100 percent a reason,' she added. One place fans will not see Gellar is in the 'I Know What You Did Last Summer' sequel, out July 18. The reboot's director said that Gellar resisted the idea of a return. 'I tried, OK? I harassed her! But she is dead,' Robinson told Entertainment Weekly. 'I tried to pitch some crazy shit too. I was like, 'What if it's like you weren't dead and you're actually alive, but in hiding?' And Sarah's like, 'I was on ice. I was the most dead a person could be. You can see my frozen body.' I was like, 'Yeah, but what if?' And she said, 'I am dead. I am Sarah Dead Gellar.'' The film was a moderate success critically and commercially, grossing $28 million at the domestic box office and more than $57 million against a $6 million budget. Tripp Vinson, James Vanderbilt, Bradley J. Fischer and William Sherak are producing the sequel. In April, Searchlight president Matthew Greenfield said of the sequel: 'We're beyond excited to make another film with the phenomenal Radio Silence. With Ready or Not: Here I Come, we get to go on another ride with the amazing Samara Weaving, mix in awesome new voices and bring audiences a fresh take that's every bit as twisted and fun as the first one.
