Rs 140.07 Crores Credited Under Rythu Bharosa Scheme to Support 1.35 Lakh Farmers in Jogulamba Gadwal

Gadwal: District Collector B.M. Santosh announced that financial aid amounting to ₹140.07 crores has been directly deposited into the bank accounts of small and marginal farmers across Jogulamba Gadwal district under the Rythu Bharosa (Farmer Investment Support) Scheme, ahead of the upcoming Vanakalam (Kharif) crop season. In an official statement, the Collector emphasized that the scheme, being implemented by the state government with the goal of farmer welfare and development, is significantly reducing the investment burden on farmers. As of Thursday evening (June 19, 2025), financial assistance has been disbursed to 1,35,024 farmers owning up to four acres of land. 'This timely deposit enables farmers to procure seeds, fertilizers, and pay labor charges without delay,' the Collector stated, underlining the importance of early support in ensuring smooth agricultural operations. The process involved accurate registration of farmers' bank account details and land information on the Rythu Bharosa portal by officials from the Agriculture Extension Department. The funds were released to eligible farmers based on this verified data. He assured that the remaining farmers will also receive the financial assistance soon. Collector Santosh highlighted that this scheme is not only providing economic relief but also enhancing mental stability among farmers. 'Providing assistance before the sowing season prevents farmers from falling into the trap of debts and allows them to begin cultivation with confidence,' he added. The Collector affirmed that the government's support extends to every acre of cultivable land, reflecting its commitment to stand by the farmers at every step. 'This is more than just a financial transaction — it is a testament to the trust and dedication the government holds toward our farmers,' he remarked. The Rythu Bharosa Scheme is increasingly being seen as a transformative initiative, aiming to boost agricultural productivity and empower rural communities by ensuring that small and marginal farmers receive necessary input support right when it is needed the most.

Neena Gupta-Sunita Rajwar on their off-screen friendship: We met in theatre and became friends

Mumbai, They may be pitted against each other as political rivals in "Panchayat" as Manju Devi and Kranti Devi but in real life, Neena Gupta and Sunita Rajwar enjoy a great friendship that goes back to their theatre days. The two have worked together on the 2020 film, 'Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan', and the Prime Video series, 'Panchayat'. 'We met in the theatre, we did a play together. We kept working together, and when we do a show, we get a lot of time for rehearsals. We have been friends for many years, and we occasionally meet over food or just like that,' Gupta told PTI in an interview. 'When I found out that Sunita was also there , I was very happy because after the shoot, she came to my room in the evening, we cooked together, sometimes, she brought food. So, I got a good company, a good friend,' she said. Rajwar said whenever she gets an offer, and if she is confused about it, she seeks Gupta's guidance. Both Gupta and Rajwar had auditioned for 'Panchayat' and the globally acclaimed movie 'Santosh'. Gupta secured the role of Manju Devi in 'Panchayat', while Rajwar was cast as Geeta Sharma in 'Santosh'. 'It happened during 'Panchayat', where she had auditioned for my role of 'Manju Devi', then there is a film, 'Santosh', for which I had also auditioned for her role,' Gupta said. 'Whenever we do a new project, we both know about it, so it isn't an on-set surprise,' Rajwar said, adding, 'We are friends universally.' Created by Deepak Kumar Mishra and Chandan Kumar, 'Panchayat' revolves around Abhishek Tripathi , an engineering graduate who, for lack of a better job, joins as secretary of a panchayat office in a fictional village named Phulera in Uttar Pradesh. Gupta plays Manju, the elected village head , while Rajwar as Kranti is her rival. The fourth season promises to escalate the rivalry as both characters vie for supremacy in Phulera. Rajwar said she admires Gupta as an actor, particularly her work in 'Woh Chokri', for which the received the National Award, and the popular TV show, 'Khandan'. 'The way she carries herself, how outspoken she is, and how clean she is, is what I admire about her. Apart from 'Panchayat', I've been with her a lot, so I know her very well.' Gupta praised Rajwar's commitment towards acting. "When a person is good in real life, then that goodness is reflected in their work. Sunita is very helpful. She gets immersed in her roles... I really admire her," she said, adding, she has unfortunately not seen Rajwar's work in "Gullak" and "Santosh". Co-star and lead actor Kumar, who plays Abhishek Tripathi or 'Sachivji' in the show, expressed his joy at the tremendous love and appreciation the series has received over its three seasons. ''Panchayat' is a well-written show, there is simplicity, authenticity, but I was not sure how many people would click on it and watch it. But it exploded , and many people saw it, and we got so much love from people. I never thought this would happen. "Although I knew that it was a very different kind of story from the stories that were being told at that time. But we didn't predict that it would get this level of result or response." "Panchayat 4" is scheduled to be released on June 24.

Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan director Santosh Singh on scrutiny of Shanaya Kapoor due to star kid tag: We should let her…

After a couple of announced and subsequently shelved projects, Shanaya Kapoor is finally making her acting debut next month in a love story Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan with Vikrant Massey. The director of the film, Santosh Singh believes it was destiny that made it so. 'It's always good to get more actors in the industry and this is the correct film for Shanaya Kapoor to come into the industry. It is a challenging role, which we have not seen a lot of newcomers coming into the industry do. It's a very daring move what she has done,' he says. Being a star kid, Shanaya's entry into films has been scrutinised and judged even before seeing her work on screen. Ask Santosh if this constant judgement does effect him as a maker and he says, 'In today's time, people are quick to jump in and start judging somebody. Of course, there's a bit of pressure about that, but we want to let Shanaya's work speak for itself. You see somebody's work and then you judge. That's the best way. Everyone should get a fair chance.' Giving his take on nepotism, he adds, 'This whole debate is there, and there's no right or wrong to it. There are some star kids who are getting chances, but they're not delivering, and that leads to people judging them all. And their work is proving them right. So, if you're getting that chance, you need to give your 100% and prove yourself. It doesn't matter which background you come from, if your work is good, you will always be welcomed.' He defends the work Shanaya has put in for her film and says, 'Shanaya's gone through the whole ordeal including months of workshops. Every day for four months, she'd send us videos of her progress after rehearsals. Until she was fully prepared, we didn't go on floors, so she has given her all to it.' The first poster of Vikrant Massey and Shanaya together brought along some criticism with people pointing out the age gap between the pair. Reacting to it, Santosh says, 'People will react to it how they want but when you see the film, you will get all your answers. It is as simple as that, it's the requirement of the story. I'm not worried about it because I know how lovely they are looking, and how well they are complimenting each other on screen. It's a very unusual pairing, but the story demanded that unusual pairing to happen.' He also raves about Vikrant, who he had previously directed in his OTT debut series Broken But Beautiful. Now, making his theatrical debut with him again, Santosh discusses what makes him so relatable as a romantic hero: 'It's an unusual choice for him to do love stories as people don't see him as a romantic actor, especially makers. But after our show, I realised he's so natural and effortless in this genre. With him, it doesn't feel like there's a hero doing it, it feels like a common person doing a common love story, so it connects well with the masses because you see yourself in him.'

I'm sad, want audiences to watch our film: Sunita Rajwar on 'Santosh' not releasing in India

MUMBAI: Actor Sunita Rajwar says it is disheartening that her film 'Santosh' will not release in India despite receiving acclaim globally. The Sandhya Suri-directed movie, Britain's official entry to the Oscars in 2025, could not be released after facing hurdles in its censor certification. The actor, who played one of the two women officers in the movie, said her role in the movie is one of her best works. "I'm sad because I have a very different role in it, it's a good role, it's a big role. Every artist wants everyone to see their best work. We expect that if people see our work, then you will be offered either that role of that calibre or a different kind of role." "We all want the audience should at least get to see it (the film) and see what we've done in it."

"We all want the audience should at least get to see it (the film) and see what we've done in it. It is banned. They (makers) are trying, but they (censor board) are asking for so much edit that it's not possible," Rajwar, who will next be seen in the Prime Video series, "Panchayat 4", told PTI in an interview. "Santosh", an international co-production set in rural north India, follows the story of Shahana Goswami as a driven young Hindu widow who inherits her husband's job as a police constable thanks to a government scheme. She finds herself caught up in institutional corruption even as she warms to working with rough-edged veteran detective Inspector Sharma (Rajwar) on a brutal murder case involving a teenage girl from the lower caste Dalit community.
