Chiranjeevi and Nayanthara begin shooting for Anil Ravipudi's 'Mega157' in Mussoorie

The movie stars Nayanthara playing the female lead. The latest report suggests an update regarding the film's shoot. Nayanthara joins cast on Mussoorie schedule As per a report by 123Telugu, the shooting schedule of the film is currently underway in the locales of Mussoorie, Uttarakhand. Lead actors, including Chiranjeevi, have already joined the set, and now the report suggests that Nayanthara has also arrived to begin the filming of crucial scenes featuring the lead pair. Special song sequence to be shot in hills This movie marks Nayanthara's return to Tollywood and her third collaboration with her 'Godfather' co-star. The report also states that this leg of the shoot will also include a song sequence to be shot in the scenic backdrop of the hills. The announcement of Nayanthara joining the project was made through a lively and engaging video on social media, where she was seen enthusiastically going through the script and even recreating one of Chiranjeevi's iconic dialogues. There are high expectations for the film, as Chiranjeevi is said to be seen in a comical role with the director Anil Ravipudi, who is known for his films that have a humorous, emotional, pleasing, and mass appeal. The music of the film is composed by Bheems Ceciroleo. The production is moving at a brisk pace, with the makers expected to wrap up shooting by October 2025. The film is expected to be released during the grand Sankranthi window in 2026. Chiranjeevi's other projects On the other hand, Chiranjeevi has two more films in his pipeline, including the socio-mega film 'Vishwambhara,' which is facing multiple production delays. He has also signed a film with 'Dasara' fame director Srikanth Odela .

‘Thammudu' trailer launch impresses all
With a fresh concept, 'Thammudu' will be a film that audiences enjoy watching in theatres. In this genre, 'Thammudu' will be referred to as a benchmark, said producer Dil Raju at the trailer launch event. The prestigious film 'Thammudu', starring Nithiin in the lead role and directed by Sriram Venu, is being produced by the renowned production house Sri Venkateswara Creations. Dil Raju and Shirish are bankrolling the film, which features key roles played by Laya, Varsha Bollamma, and Sapthami Gowda. 'Thammudu' is set for a grand worldwide theatrical release on July 4. The trailer was launched today in Hyderabad with much fanfare. Actress Laya, who is making a comeback after a 20-year break, said, 'After being away from the film industry for two decades, I've begun a new chapter in my acting journey with 'Thammudu'. It truly feels like returning home. When I was considering a comeback, I had doubts and fears. But the team of this film dispelled those worries and gave me confidence. Director Sriram Venu spent two days on a photo shoot with me before bringing me on board. I'm also grateful to Dil Raju's banner for giving opportunities to many artists, including myself.' Producer Dil Raju said, 'After the success of our Sankranthi release 'F3', we were eagerly waiting to announce the release date for 'Thammudu'. Director Sriram Venu has worked tirelessly on this project for the past four years. Right from the beginning, he was clear that he wanted to design the film with a fresh visual and sound experience — and he delivered exactly that, with great dedication. Some media friends have been asking whether this film is similar to 'Muddula Maavayya'. Though 'Thammudu' is a story centered around the bond between a brother and sister, it is a completely new concept. There's no reference point for it. Director Maari's long awaited rom-com, 'Anaganaga Oka Raju', featuring actor Naveen Polishetty and Meenakshi Chaudhary in the lead, will hit screens for the festival of Sankranthi on January 14 next year, its makers announced on Monday. Taking to its X timeline, Sithara Entertainments, the production house producing the film, wrote, "Tension endhuku Dandaga.... Raju garu ekkadunte akkada pandaga! (Why take tension unnecessarily? Where ever there is Raju, there is celebration!) Sankranthi has always been a prime season for Telugu cinema, and 2026 is already shaping up to be exciting.
