Speaking to viewers, Josh explained how a member of staff picked up a nearby towel - with the expensive tech slipping and falling overboard. Earlier in the video, Saffron reiterated it was accidental and not the staff member's fault. She said: "It means I've lost all my footage and camera which I've obviously just bought because I got it stolen in the US. "So that's another £1000 camera just gone. But for me, I think I'm so upset because it's every I vlogged this trip, it's before this trip. It's basically all my footage." A scuba team was dove down to try and recover the camera - in the hope its SD Card may be recoverable. Josh later said: "The guy who went down, he saw the anchor and said it was dragging. So, we have moved since we docked. Last month, Saffron had a nightmare experience while she and Josh were visiting the USA. She shared her harrowing experience in a candid TikTok make-up tutorial, explaining the aftermath after men broke into her car. Explaining these men were armed, Saffron said: 'I honestly can't leave the US right now and everything I had with me was completely stolen. "If I'm being honest, this trip has just not gone to plan at all. I've suffered the worst pain I've ever felt in my life.' What was meant to be a fresh start for Saffron and Josh quickly turned into a nightmare. After a difficult period, the couple decided to try and salvage their trip with a road trip from Hollywood to Las Vegas. Renting a Jeep, they set off vlogged their journey. About two hours into the drive, the pair stopped at Peggy Sue's Diner, a nostalgic spot Saffron had visited with her parents many years ago. She admitted: 'We were completely naive. There were lots of cars around, so we didn't think anything bad could happen.' But when they returned to their car after just half an hour inside, they found it completely smashed up. Every single item inside was stolen - including their passports and Saffron's medication. She said tearfully: 'It's not just the material things. It's everything we needed. We had nothing left, no ID, no medication, nothing.' The incident was made worse by the fact the area was busy and yet no one seemed to intervene. Josh added: 'There were tourists everywhere, and apparently this happens almost every day. It's crazy that there are no warning signs.' Despite their shock and devastation, the couple counted their blessings. Saffron said: 'I'm so grateful to be alive. They have guns in America, and something much worse could have happened. We keep telling ourselves that we should be grateful we're still here.' 5 A scuba diver attempted to recover Saffron's camera Credit: YouTube / Saffron Barker

British Influencer Saffron Barker Says She Was Robbed During U.S. Road Trip: ‘They Stole Everything'
British influencer Saffron Barker claimed that her recent vacation in Las Vegas ended with a robbery. 'This holiday was a nightmare,' she captioned a YouTube video posted on Friday, May 22. 'Emergency surgery, we got robbed and they stole EVERYTHING.' Before Barker, 24, shared the footage from her and boyfriend Josh Miln's ill-fated getaway, she issued a disclaimer. 'Before this vlog starts properly, I just want to let you know that this video is a little bit all over the place,' Barker wrote at the start of her video. 'You'll understand why as soon as it gets started because it, honestly, was just bad luck after [bad] luck. However, I still wanted to post it as you'll see throughout the video [that] we tried to make the best out of a lot of bad situations, which I think we did a good job of.' Kristin Cavallari Caught Intruder 'Crawling on My Bedroom Floor' During 2020 Bahamas Family Vacation She added, 'I'm very grateful to have had Josh with me throughout this whole thing because it made me realize how now matter what life throws at you, you have to find happiness within it." Barker and Miln, who turns 24 later this month, traveled from Los Angeles to Las Vegas in a hired car. 'I think [it] is going to be the most incredible thing. I mean, I have done that with my parents before,' she said. 'Like the fact that I'm doing it with Josh, I just think it's going to be the best thing ever. Something we are dying to do is a road trip around America.' Before Miln joined the YouTube star in California, Barker was briefly hospitalized for an ear infection after undergoing root canal surgery. She was discharged ahead of his arrival. The pair then set off to Sin City, stopping for lunch at the legendary Peggy Sue's diner. Nick Viall Explains Why His 'Chaotic' Honeymoon With Wife Natalie Joy 'Felt Like a Nightmare' 'Little did we know, whilst we were having food in the diner, someone broke into our car and stole EVERYTHING,' Barker wrote in a caption. Once Barker and Miln went back out to the Jeep SUV, they discovered that the back window had been smashed and all of their belongings were no longer stored inside. 'We walked outside, and the car was completely smashed in,' she recalled. 'Obviously, this is a car that we had rented. And inside was every single thing, I feel, that I own. I mean, our passports, cards [and] the list could go on and on. I mean, I genuinely have nothing, like handbags. The only thing we brought into our restaurant was our phones.' Barker added, 'Although it's really sad that we've lost all that money and all the things that we've worked really hard for … it's also just the inconvenience now of we can't even get home [and] we don't even have cards to pay for anything.' According to Barker, she and Miln don't even have their IDs on them, which also caused an issue when they arrived at their hotel. 'They didn't actually even want to let us into the hotel because they were like, 'But you don't have a physical ID, even though I have my picture,'' Barker alleged. 'That was a hassle, but at the same time, we keep saying how lucky we are that we could have been held at gunpoint [or] these people could have been following us.' The hotel ultimately allowed Barker and Miln to check into their reserved room as they tried to figure out their next steps — including how to get back home. 'We were very naive because I'd never been there before,' Miln added, reflecting on the burglary. 'You don't really second-guess these things. We're not really used to that way of life with expecting things to be taken for granted — like the safety of your things in a car. Looking back on it, we didn't leave the car with things out in the spotlight. It just seems really bizarre.'

Strictly star in tears as she updates on 'nightmare' trip after being robbed
Strictly Come Dancing star Saffron Barker has been left counting her blessings after she was robbed while on holiday with her boyfriend Josh Miln in the US Saffron Barker has issued a stern caution to her followers planning to travel along Route 66, following her harrowing experience of robbery on the iconic American highway. The 24 year old influencer and former Strictly Come Dancing contestant rented a car with her model boyfriend Josh Miln last week for a road trip from Los Angeles to Las Vegas. However, their journey took a terrifying turn when they stopped at Peggy Sue's, a renowned diner on Route 66, only to return to their vehicle completely vandalised, all their possessions stolen, and the vehicle being "completely smashed up." Following the shocking incident, she expressed gratitude for being unharmed and advised her fans to reconsider stopping along the route. In her recent YouTube video detailing the 'nightmare' holiday, she stated: "We keep saying how lucky we are, we could have been held at gun point. These people could have been following us." "I think honestly it happens quite often at Peggy Sue's. I know for a fact that if Josh had walked out and seen it you would have gone over there and they have guns and stuff here. So we are also very, very grateful that nothing like that happened to us and neither of us are hurt." Her boyfriend Miln added: "There were tourists everywhere, and apparently this happens almost every day. It's crazy that there are no warning signs." The couple, n ow safely back in the UK, had to continue their journey in the damaged car and conclude their trip in Las Vegas while awaiting emergency passports. Saffron revealed that they were left with nothing but their mobile phones after the theft. Thieves made off with their passports, cash and all their luggage. She explained: "We walked outside and the car was completely smashed in, the car that we rented." "And inside was every little thing that I feel like I own. 'I mean like our passports, cards, the list can just go on. I genuinely have nothing. The only thing we brought into the restaurant with us was our phones. It's just little things like I don't have contacts, I can't even see right now. We were saying it's not even the materialistic things." "Although it's really sad that we've lost all that money and all the things we have worked really hard for and all the things that we loved. 'But it's also the inconvenience of 1. we can't even get home. 2. we don't have cards to pay for anything. 3. we don't even have ID so they didn't even want to let us into the hotel because they don't have a physical ID even though I have a picture." Josh then revealed: "The house got robbed recently as well," as his girlfriend added: "I wasn't going to mention that part, but yeah." Updating fans on their current situation, the YouTuber said: "We're currently waiting to get emergency passports, we have to drive back to LA, but then our flights are out of Vegas so we have to drive back again. But we absolutely won't be stopping!" The couple were flooded with support in the comments, as one fan penned: "Someone's got an evil eye on you girl. I'm so sorry you've gone through this," as a second penned: "I'm so sorry this has all happened to you but hopefully it means great things are round the corner. Keep your head up!!!"
