Chelsea Green Confirms Released WWE Superstar Was Planned For The Secret Hervice
Chelsea Green had plans for her Secret Hervice faction that never came to fruition. WWE SmackDown Superstar Chelsea Green was a recent guest on The Lightweights Podcast. While discussing the Secret Hervice, Green revealed that Blair Davenport was originally set to be the third member of her group until she was released, which opened the door to bring in Alba Fyre. Advertisement 'When we were talking about a third (member of Secret Hervice), at first it was going to be Blair Davenport,' Chelsea Green revealed. 'And when Blair was released. It was obviously a really — kind of like a bummer moment. Like man, maybe we're not gonna grow, maybe we're not gonna be a faction. 'We're just gonna be a tag team and then we both kind of had the idea, 'What if we can convince them to get Kay Lee? Alba.' Because Kay Lee is Piper's best friend from Scotland, from years of working together and she also lived with us in Japan. The three of us worked for STARDOM together so it's perfect. We have history, we have a relationship, we have a friendship, we mesh already, we know each other's quirks and downfalls too so we can work around those and it's just been really fun. 'I mean, it's a challenge always to be in a group. You're always gonna try to figure out week to week how you continue this. It's not just about you. You can't always be the center of attention. We have to figure out how to shift constantly and work around WWE's creative that week.' 'Well, I think it just depends on the venue,' Tony Khan admitted. Advertisement 'And I think for the pay-per-views, packing it in and bringing in 10, 12,000 fans, sometimes more. Even the world attendance record we set in Wembley Stadium, over 81,000 tickets sold for AEW All In London. 'These are great venues, great events. But it's also great to see wrestling presented as we've been doing it on TV in recent months, in some of these great theaters and amphitheaters. AEW is primarily our TV has been known for a lot of great wrestling, a lot of great wrestlers because AEW is where the best wrestle, but the venue that's probably most associated with AEW television is Daily's Place, which is an amphitheater. Mayu Iwatani Announces Immediate Departure From STARDOM
Mayu Iwatani has officially departed from her home promotion of STARDOM just a day after losing the IWGP Women's Championship to Syuri. In a press conference hosted by STARDOM on YouTube, Mayu Iwatani addressed the future of her in-ring career. She revealed that her match the night prior against Syuri at All Star Grand Queendom 2025 would be her last appearance for STARDOM. STARDOM English commentator Walker Stewart translated Iwatani's sentiments, saying that the decision was difficult for her to make. She believes that she has achieved all there is in the promotion as an in-ring competitor after a decorated 14-year stay. Advertisement Mayu Iwatani then took to Twitter to put up an emotional post for her fans. 'I wanted to laugh and disappear [at the press conference] but I was surprised to find tears coming out. I was surprised at myself for making this decision. I will be an icon of women's professional wrestling, not just an icon of Stardom… I'm going to run away from home,' she says. Her sudden departure leaves her STARS faction at a crucial crossroads on how to move forward without their leader. Unfortunately, the faction is also facing internal conflict between members Hazuki and Hanan. Mayu Iwatani's storied career in STARDOM Mayu was one of STARDOM's original founding members, having competed at the company's inaugural show in 2011. Since then, she has taken over as the 'Icon of Stardom' by establishing herself as the promotion's flagbearer. Mayu Iwatani helped redefine contemporary joshi puroresu alongside her fellow Daughters of Stardom: Kairi Hojo (now Kairi Sane) and Io Shirai (now IYO SKY). She is also one of only two STARDOM grand slam champions. Advertisement She closes out her STARDOM career with an outstanding 735-day reign as IWGP Women's Champion. In this reign, Iwatani surpassed Kazuchika Okada's 720-day reign as IWGP Heavyweight Champion. She becomes the longest reigning champion of the IWGP. Her reign also saw victories over the likes of Mercedes Moné, 'Timeless' Toni Storm, Stephanie Vaquer, and Sareee, among others.
