Dubai, Sharjah flights delay stretch to Day 3
Jaipur: Passengers heading to Dubai and Sharjah from Jaipur continued to face delays and disruptions in flight schedules for the third consecutive day on Wednesday. Due to airspace restrictions on account of tensions between Iran and Israel, three international flights to Dubai and Sharjah were delayed.
The flights to Jaipur reached late, which caused them to depart late from here.
Air Arabia flight G9-436 was scheduled to take off at 4:45am from Jaipur to Sharjah, but it departed at 11:37am, a delay of almost seven hours. Similarly, SpiceJet Airlines flights SG-57 and SG-58 could not take off at their scheduled time on Wednesday. SG-58 was to reach Jaipur from Dubai at 7:55am, but it did so at 10:30am, while SpiceJet Airlines flight SG-57 from Jaipur to Dubai departed at 11:20am, over two hours after its scheduled departure at 8:55am.
In a statement issued Wednesday, SpiceJet said, "Due to Dubai ATC congestion from regional airspace restrictions, SpiceJet flights from Dubai may experience delays. Passengers are advised to check updated timings."
