Rylan Clark confesses to 'secret single behaviour' as he opens up about dating
Rylan Clark has admitted he's been 'on his own' for the past few years and only been on two dates in the last two years as he opened up about his single life and candidly opened up about his personal quirks Rylan Clark has confessed that the glare of fame has dampened his dating life, as he admits to being solitary and only going on two dates in the past couple of years. The 36 year old TV and radio personality enjoys a night out at bars and clubs but hesitates to approach potential interests due to his public profile. In a candid chat with 67 year old psychotherapist Philippa Perry on his podcast 'Rylan: How to Be in Love', he shared: "I've genuinely been in a situation where I've been in a bar, and I've looked at someone across the way. "They've looked at me, I've looked at them, and I would never feel confident going up to someone because of my job. I think, 'Are they looking at me because I'm Rylan, or are they looking at me because they think, he's alright?" Since parting ways with his husband Dan Neal in 2021, the BBC Radio 2 presenter has experienced loneliness while living by himself for the first time ever, reports the Manchester Evening News. Rylan revealed: "For the past few years, I have been on my own, in the sense of living on my own, which is something I've never done in my entire life. But I have got to the point where I've got my 'SSB', my Secret Single Behaviour, where I might talk to the coffee machine in the morning and go, 'Of course you want me to empty the drip trays!'" Rylan Clark has candidly opened up about his personal quirks and love life post-divorce, revealing what he seeks in a partner. The TV personality, who split from his husband Dan, has been back on the dating scene, even embarking on blind dates in Italy with his mate Rob Rinder, 47, for their BBC Two series 'Rob and Rylan's Grand Tour'. In a frank admission, Rylan shared his unique outlook: "You know, it winds me up, but I will say it out loud. Some people might think I'm unwell. I'm not, it's my Secret Single Behaviour." He also disclosed the qualities he desires in a potential partner: "I want two things out of someone; one is that you make me laugh and don't make me cry. And the other one is when I walk into the house, or you walk into the house, you ask me or I ask you, 'How was your day?'". Fans can delve deeper into Rylan's thoughts on romance by tuning into his podcast 'Rylan: How to Be in Love', available on BBC Sounds and visually on BBC iPlayer.

Rylan Clark admits 'that's exactly what I need' as he teases love life update
Our community members are treated to special offers, promotions and adverts from us and our partners. You can check out at any time. More info Rylan Clark declared 'that's exactly what I need' as he addressed his love life and relationships. Rylan, 36, has been open about his divorce from ex-husband Dan Neal in 2021. The pair had been married for six years but their relationship ended after Rylan admitted he had been unfaithful. Since then, Rylan says he has been 'on his own' and has been on 'two dates' in the past two years. The BBC Radio 2 star admits he now wants to find a man who will make him 'laugh' and won't make him cry. On his new podcast, How To Be in Love, Rylan asked psychotherapist and relationship expert Phillipa Perry what love is. Philippa, who is married to the artist Grayson Perry, replied: 'There's lots of different sorts of love. 'There's the love you have with your family, the love you have with your soldiers in arms, there's the love you have for a lover, erotic love, so I suspect you're quite interested in erotic love that then, perhaps, turns into something even deeper than that and it becomes a lifelong soulmate type of love.' (Image: BBC) Rylan responded: 'Absolutely, I think that's exactly what I need.' Rylan revealed he has had enough of dating apps and regularly finds himself falling into the trap of speaking to people and not taking it further. He added: 'Nowadays it's all digital, and I find myself falling into this trap of talking to people, never meeting them.' Phillipa reassured the star it offered 'good raw material'. Speculation in recent months has swirled that Rylan could pursue a relationship with Rob Rinder, after the pair hit it off filming their Grand Tour. The BAFTA-winning show saw the pair addressing their respective divorces as they travelled around Italy. Rylan described filming the show as 'like therapy' and admitted he 'wasn't fully over' his split when making the programme. Rylan said: 'It was the best therapy I needed, put it that way. I think the journey, and I hate that word in telly but its so true, when you watch our series, that journey from when we meet to sort of how raw especially I was at that time.' (Image: Rob Rinder X/Twitter) While he has declared his 'love' for Rob, the pair have kept their relationship platonic. During a previous episode of his podcast, he joked: 'We are like a married couple, we row all the time and don't have sex like a proper married couple. We might as well put a ring on it." Speaking to former Communards musician Richard Coles, Rylan added: 'I want to find the next love of my life. I've been married, I thought I'd found the love of my life, I hadn't." The former X Factor contestant has previously spoken of the difficulties of dating while in the public eye, revealing he feels as though Rylan is a persona. In a conversation with Stephen Fry, he said: 'One thing I'm finding really difficult when it comes down to dating is that people think I'm Rylan when, in honesty, I'm Ross." Opening up further, Ross, better known by his stage name Rylan, confessed: "I need to work out, 'Do you want to date Rylan and what Rylan can give you, or do you want to date the real me?'".

Celebrity Gogglebox producers forced to cut 'career-ending' conversations from show as stars warn editors 'don't you dare include that'
Presenter Rylan Clark has revealed that editors of Celebrity Gogglebox had to cut some 'career-ending' conversations from his appearances on the show with his mum, Linda. The star, aged 36, first rose to fame during his 2012 participation on The X Factor and has since risen to hosting supremacy as a host across a broad spectrum of British TV, including Big Brother's Bit on the Side, Strictly Come Dancing: It Takes Two, This Morning and more recently, Rob and Rylan's Grand Tour – with Robert Rinder. However fans of Celebrity Gogglebox have enjoyed seeing a more unfiltered side of Rylan, including plenty of wise cracks at his mum's expense. The pair quickly became a fan favourite due to their zingy banter and no-holds-barred commentary. However, appearing on This Morning on Friday, the pair admitted there are plenty of sofa conversations that don't make it to air. Conversations between them can push the boundaries, and he and Linda often have to implore editors to make cuts. From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new Showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. 'When he mucks about,' Linda explained: ' I go: 'Please don't put that bit in!'' 'We're lucky the editors clearly like us,' Rylan added: 'Because the stuff they've had to cut out is career-ending… We're like, 'yeah can we not use that, please!'' Rylan, 36, and Linda, 72 initially appeared on the celebrity edition of the Channel 4 hit back in 2019. Since then, many fans have called for them to have their own spin off show. This series of Celebrity Gogglebox has seen the mother/son pair accompanied alongside a star-studded line up, featuring Dani and Danny Dyer, Martin and Roman Kemp, James and Clair Buckley, and Shaun Ryder and Bez. Viewers have been celebrating Rylan and Linda's comeback to Celebrity Gogglebox, sharing their delight on social media: One particularly popular moment between the pair included commentary on the Queen's platinum jubilee, in which Rylan had to explain to his mother that Paddington was not a real bear. 'He's not there, is he?' Linda asked, referring to whether Paddington was actually in Buckingham Palace with the queen, as shown in the iconic clip, 'That is the real Queen!' 'Yes, but Paddington is not a real bear,' Rylan shot back, before he is questioned about whether Paddington is a puppet, and abandons the conversation, in exasperation. However, there were those who had complaints about this year's lineup of celebs. One posted: 'Celebrity Gogglebox just isn't funny like the original, it feels forced! #gogglebox #Celebritygogglebox.' Another said: 'We watch normal #Gogglebox because its hilarious and we love all the families. #celebritygogglebox is not funny and we couldn't care less about the celebs. Its just people watching telly.' Someone else penned: 'Not the dreaded celebrities again, so many of them are so annoying #Celebritygogglebox.'

Reverend Richard Coles, 62, admits he once burnt himself while having sex in a burger van on the side of the road in the Midlands
Reverend Richard Coles has revealed he once burnt himself while having sex in a burger van. The Church of England priest, 63, has recalled a moment before he joined the clergy when his hand touched a 'hot griddle' as he and a burger man had 'casual sex' in the vehicle, which was parked in a lay-by in the Midlands, England. Chatting on the Rylan: How to Be in Love podcast with host Rylan Clark, the I'm A Celebrity star joked that 'food hygiene has got a lot better' from his wild days. He admitted: 'I went through a period of having a very interesting and full life … I discovered casual sex in a place where it wasn't often found, which is on the road network of the Midlands.' Rylan chimed in: 'Dogging?' From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new Showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. The Church of England priest, 63, has recalled a moment before he joined the clergy when his hand touched a 'hot griddle' as he and a burger man had 'casual sex' in the vehicle, which was parked in a lay-by in the Midlands, England 'Well we didn't call it that then. It was meeting people in lay-bys', Richard replied. He continued: 'It really was like that. There was one chap, I remember. Oh, it's just terrible. There was a burger van out there, and I ended up getting off with the burger man. 'Anyway he had to sort of draw the shutter down on his burger van, and then it rocked around a bit.' Rylan pointed out: 'That must have been dangerous with that griddle.' Richard revealed: 'Well, I put my hand back on the hot griddle, exactly. I got a burn ... I have to say as well, the food hygiene has got a lot better.' Richard - who shot to fame as a member of the 1980s pop groups Bronski Beat and The Communards - also revealed he has a lifetime ban from Avis rent-a-car after he got 's***-*****' on 'ecstasy and acid' in Ibiza. The reality star explained: 'It was really after the band [The Communards] reached its highest point and we were taking a break which we are still on 35 years later. 'That was when sex and drugs and rock and roll came together for me and I took some time out and I went to Ibiza and I just was s***-***** for many, many months. 'There was one summer I went, and I went with a bunch of people, and we all just took ecstasy and acid, oh, everything really. And I remember we got barred from Avis rent-a-car for life because we got through a lot of vehicles. 'Mavis from Avis, she was furious.' Rylan had to check if he heard what Richard had said correctly, and asked: 'Stop! Got barred from Avis?' Richard confirmed: 'Yeah, for life.' The former pop star also bought a speedboat, and he does not know its whereabouts. Richard said: 'I bought a speedboat and I don't know where it is.' It comes after Richard revealed he is now taking weight loss jab Ozempic as a 'birthday present to myself'. The injections have long been hailed as a monumental breakthrough in the war on obesity and type 2 diabetes. Now, the former Communards star said he opted for the drug 'because I'm too fat and I want to lose some weight'. The former Church of England vicar has not yet suffered any unpleasant side effects. He told The Independent: 'My birthday present to myself was Ozempic, because I'm too fat and I want to lose some weight — it's affecting my health I think. 'I could do it the regular way but realistically if I'm very busy I need all the help I can get. 'My stomach feels a bit different, not unpleasantly, weirdly low in appetite. It seems to be diminished.' He added: 'I just don't want to get dependent on something just to keep health-threatening weight off. 'I want to get down to a reasonable weight and then maintain it without the assistance of pharmacy. I want to lose two stone.' At least half a million NHS patients and some 15million in the US are now thought to be using weight loss jabs, which can help patients lose up to 20 per cent of their bodyweight in just a few months. They have also been shown to significantly reduce the risk of heart attacks and strokes. However, side effects are wide-ranging, from nausea and abdominal pain to severe digestive issues and even bone pain. Other reported problems using the jabs include constipation, fatigue, headaches, dizziness and even hair loss.

Fan favourite Celebs Go Dating star lands huge new show after ‘stepping more into the limelight'
AFTER years behind the reception desk at the Celebs Go Dating agency, Tom Read Wilson has now been promoted. I can reveal he is finally stepping into the spotlight with a show of his own, called The Grand Tour With Tom Read Wilson. 4 The historical travelogue for Channel 5, which is currently in production, will follow a similar format to that of Rylan Clark and Rob Rinder's successful BBC show — which won the twosome a Bafta earlier this year. So Channel 5 hopes to strike gold with their offering, which comes from the team behind Ross Kemp's documentaries, and Josie Gibson's First Class Travel Show. A source revealed: 'The success of Rob and Rylan's series has proved that there's a healthy appetite from viewers for smart, entertaining and comedic journeys through history — and now Channel 5 want some of the pie. 'Tom has long been a big fan favourite on Celebs Go Dating, thanks to his dry wit and one- liners, so it makes sense for him to step more into the limelight. 'Famous landmarks' 'This new series, which will see Tom take on a solo presenting role, combines history and culture as he explores famous landmarks and delves into the stories behind these attractions. 'Filming has already begun and fans can expect to tune in later this year.' Tom first rose to fame as a contestant on ITV singing contest The Voice before finding a home on the E4 dating show. He also made his debut on Channel 5 last year, as presenter of The Christmas Taste Test, which saw him put brands to the test to uncover the best supermarket festive goodies. He has featured, too, in BBC cooking show Celebrity Best Home Cook, as a talking head on Channel 5 documentary Aldi Vs Lidl, and on Channel 4 gameshow Darling, What Have You Done To Your Hair? Rob and Rylan's Grand Tour took home won the Entertainment award at the Baftas last month, after fighting off competition from the likes of Stacey Solomon's Sort Your Life Out and the BBC's Race Across The World. Tom will now hope that when he hits the road, his Grand Tour will enjoy similar success with viewers. Christine McGuinness signs up for Celebs Go Dating as we reveal full line-up including pop legends & reality TV icons THE IT Crowd star Katherine Parkinson is to play Ron Weasley's mum Molly in the Harry Potter HBO TV series. In further casting, child star Lox Pratt will be Draco Malfoy, and Johnny Flynn his dad Lucius. Filming will start soon, at London's Warner Bros Studios. AS series two of queer dating show I Kissed A Boy airs on BBC Three, it's been revealed spin-off I Kissed A Girl will also get a second run. The girls' show, the first of its kind in the UK, made its debut last year – after 2023's first season of I Kissed A Boy. It will return later this year with ten singles meeting for the first time with a kiss. Applications to take part are now open on the BBC Take Part website. Dannii Minogue, who hosts both the boys' and girls' shows, in TV house the Masseria in Italy, said: 'I Kissed A Girl [series one] was groundbreaking for female representation, and I can't wait for the return. 'Let's see what the Italian sun does for kisses and connections. 'I'm ready to be Cupid – get ready for Masseria mania.' KITCHEN queen Mary Berry struggled to help Alan Carr cook when he appeared on her BBC series Foolproof Dinners last year – but it's no secret the comic is NO chef. He proved as much on The Great British Bake Off's Stand Up To Cancer special in 2018 – two years after Mary quit as a judge – when he served up a disastrous tribute cake to children's TV show Rainbow . . . that was rock solid. 4 Now, he has revealed his bake was so bad, that after filming stopped on the Channel 4 show even production crew declined to take a bite, except for one particularly hungry cameraman. Chatting on his Life's A Beach podcast, with guest Bake Off judge Paul Hollywood, Alan revealed: 'What people don't know is, they leave all the cakes at the back for the cast and crew to tuck in. 'Mine was intact.' Paul said of show leftovers: 'If I eat it, it all goes and savoury stuff tends to disappear first on set more than the desserts.' But he said of Alan's creation: 'It was bad. 'I've tried to delete it from my mind.'
