Here are the latest transfer rumours surrounding Scottish football on Friday morning, including Rangers, Celtic, Liverpool and more. Ross County capture ex-Sunderland man Ross County have confirmed the signing of former Sunderland defender Ben Crompton on a two-year-contract as boss Don Cowie continues to revamp his Staggies squad following their relegation to the Scottish Championship. The 21-year-defender was released by the Stadium of Light outfit at the end of last season having been unable to break into their first team squad, but featured regularly for Tamworth in the National League after joining them on loan in the second-half of last season. Advertisement Hide Ad Advertisement Hide Ad He was particularly impressive in their FA Cup third round tie against Tottenham Hotspur, where he came up against Timo Werner and Spurs captain Son Heung-min, with the fifth tier side taking them all the way to extra-time. 'We are really happy Ben has chosen to join us,' said Staggies boss Cowie. 'He had a really productive loan spell with Tamworth last season, and he offers a strong ability on the ball as well as an imposing physical presence.' Ex-Sunderland defender Ben Crompton has moved to Scotland. Liverpool 'make Robertson decision' Liverpool head coach Arne Slot is 'ready to allow' Scotland captain Andy Robertson to leave Anfield this summer as they edge closer to the megabucks signing of Bournemouth defender Milos Kerkez. The 31-year-old has interest from Atletico Madrid, with his place in the Reds starting XI now under serious threat amid the pending arrival of Hungarian international Kerkez. Should the Cherries defender arrive in the coming days, it will leave Liverpool with three left-backs on their books vying for one spot, with fellow full-back Kostas Tsimikas also said to be courting interest from Leeds United. However, according to a new report, Slot is 'prepared to cash in' on Robertson, with the ex-Dundee United man said to favour a move to La Liga rather than remain in the English Premier League. The 25-year-old is expected to leave Celtic Park this summer having fallen down the pecking order at the club. He spent the second-half of last season on loan in the Greek Super League with Olympiacos, but will not return to Erythrolefki after they opted against taking up the option to make his deal permanent. Advertisement Hide Ad Advertisement Hide Ad Despite being out of favour at club level, he was handed a start for his international side as they faced Canada in the CONCACAF Gold Cup match on Wednesday, but was hauled off at half-time with his side 3-0 down. "It's one of my lowest moments in my career,' said Palma in the aftermath of the defeat. We have to accept we are going through a very difficult time at the moment. But we all know that was nowhere near acceptable. Now we have to use this as a learning experience for the rest of the tournament. The whole team is devastated by this setback. Luis Palma has an uncertain future at Celtic. | AFP via Getty Images Dundee mull over deal for ex-Hibs man Dundee head coach Steven Pressley is mulling over a former Hibs and St Mirren midfielder Kyle Magennis after taking the 26-year-old on trial. The former Scotland Under-21 international is a free agent after being released by Kilmarnock last month following an injury-plagued couple of years at Rugby Park, but has been offered a chance to prove himself after being offered a trail with the Den's Park side, who returned to pre-season training this week. New boss Pressley, who replaced Tony Docherty earlier this month, will also run the rule over ex-Burnley academy player Tommy McDermott, who was released from Turf Moor last month. Both players have previously worked alongside technical manager David Longwell. Meanwhile, the club have confirmed the departures of Joe Shaughnessy, Antonio Portales, Mo Sylla and Scott Fraser following the expiration of their contracts. Kyle Magennis is on trial at Dundee following his release from Kilmarnock. | SNS Group Rangers 'set for transfer offer' Rangers are set to receive a 'formal' offer for star striker Hamza Igamane this month, as interest in the Moroccan international heats up. The 22-year-old has interest from English Premier League sides Everton and West Ham United, though it has been reported that the Ibrox hierarchy would request a 'huge price' should any side want to make an offer for his services. Advertisement Hide Ad Advertisement Hide Ad However, according to a new report, West Ham are now in a position to launch an official bid for the forward. 'West Ham are about make a formal move for Igamane,' ex-scout Mick Brown told Football Insider. They've had scouts up there watching him and he's one of the names on their radar. But I'm told they're not convinced he's ready to make the step up to the Premier League. He's looked impressive for Rangers at times, but he's playing in a side which finished 17 points short of Celtic, so it's a difficult one to judge.' Rangers striker Hamza Igamane is in demand this summer. | SNS Group Celtic 'edge closer' to finalising move Celtic look set to complete their second signing of the summer, after Fulham youngster Callum Osmand was spotted at their Lennoxtown training ground on Thursday, as per a report from the Herald. Brendan Rodgers has already completed the Bosman free transfer signing of former hero Kieran Tierney, and has had a bid of £1.7million accepted for Swedish international Benjamin Nygren by FC Nordsjælland, as he looks to build a squad capable of competing both domestically and in the Champions League next season.

Goalkeeper Jack Hamilton signs new Livingston contract following promotion

Livingston have handed goalkeeper Jack Hamilton a two-year contract ahead of their return to the William Hill Premiership. The 31-year-old, who was Livi's back-up keeper for their last two seasons in the top flight, returned to West Lothian in January on a short-term deal until the summer after spending the first half of last season with Ross County. Despite being restricted to an unused substitute role behind number one Jerome Prior as David Martindale's side secured promotion from the Championship via the play-offs, former Hearts, Dundee and Morton keeper Hamilton has been given the opportunity to remain with the Lions. 'We are delighted to announce that goalkeeper Jack Hamilton will be back in West Lothian for life in the top flight after agreeing a new deal,' read a short statement from Livi. Harry Paton among four out of contract players departing Motherwell

Motherwell have confirmed another four out-of-contract players who won't be returning to Fir Park for next season. Among them are Harry Paton and Davor Zdravkovski, who both played over 60 games for the club over the last two seasons. Joining those two out of the exit door are Steve Seddon and Moses Ebiye. A stating confirming the departures on Monday also stated that the club remain in talks with other players who are out of contract. Paton moved to Motherwell in April 2023 and went on to feature 63 times for the club, with his performances helping him earn his first senior international cap for Canada. North Macedonian Zdravkovski made 62 appearances two seasons, scoring a solitary goal against Ross County in May 2024. Seddon arrived last summer, and despite an injury hit campaign, played 17 times across the season. Nigerian forward Ebiye became a fan favourite after a last-minute winner against Dundee on his debut in the 23/24 season. He scored seven goals in 39 appearances, including one in his final appearance against Ross County. Motherwell have wished all four players well in the rest of their careers. Motherwell announce Fir Park exits as four players move on

The Steelmen will not be renewing their contracts Motherwell have confirmed the exits of four players after their contracts were not renewed. The Steelmen, who appointed Dane Jens Berthel Askou as their new manager on Thursday, have released defender Steve Seddon, midfielders Harry Paton and Davor Zdravkovski and striker Moses Ebiye and say they remain "in dialogue with the remaining players who are out of contract." ‌ The departures come after defender Dan Casey turned down a new deal and signed for English side Wycombe Wanderers on Saturday. ‌ A club statement read: "Harry Paton joined the club in April 2023 and went on to feature 63 times for the club. During his time, he got back in the Canada squad and earned his first senior international cap. We thank Harry for his efforts and wish him well for the future. "Steve Seddon arrived in the summer of 2024, and despite picking up a couple of injuries, played 17 times across the season. We are grateful for Steve's hard work in his 12 months at Motherwell and wish him the very best going forward. "Moses Ebiye will also be moving on this summer. The Nigerian forward arrived in March 2024 and quickly established himself as a fan favourite for his last-minute winner against Dundee on his debut. That was one of seven goals that Ebiye scored across his 39 appearances, including a goal in his final appearance against Ross County. The club thanks Moses for his efforts and wishes him well for the future. "Finally, Davor Zdravkovski will also be leaving the club this summer. Across two seasons, the North Macedonian played 62 times for Motherwell, scoring a solitary goal against Ross County in May 2024. His work ethic has been unquestionable and we wish Davor well for the future." New boss Askou is set to be officially unveiled at a press conference this week, subject to him reciving a work permit.

David Martindale would rather quit than have Livingston 'survive' in the Premiership

Livingston boss David Martindale says he would rather quit the club than take them up to the Premiership just to 'survive'. The Lions sealed an immediate return to the top flight as they beat Ross County 4-2 in Dingwall in the play-off final on Monday, winning 5-3 on aggregate. Advertisement In doing so, they became the first club to win a Premiership play-off twice, and the first Livingston team to seal a promotion and cup double in a single season. Martindale says there's an exciting summer ahead for the West Lothian club, especially with the backing of new owner Calvin Ford. He said: 'Not last year but the season before [2022-23], the season kind of petered out and it was a struggle. It was a difficult season, but we stayed in the Premiership, and I was actually thinking about my own future. 'Do I want to keep being at the club, when we were constantly fighting? You're pushing water up a hill week after week, and putting fires out, and I felt I couldn't leave the club at that point, because we were in the midst of court cases and I didn't want to walk out the club when it needed people to fight for it. Advertisement 'I stayed on, then we got relegated, and I felt how hard it was in the previous two seasons, and if I felt we were going back to the Premiership and we were going to be putting fires out and pushing water up a hill, I genuinely would call it a day and probably look elsewhere. I would leave with my head held high, in taking Livingston back to the Premiership. I'm not talking about competing for the top four, I'm saying survival can't be our goal. I know, realistically, putting it into perspective, it probably is, but it's not where I want to be and it's not what I want to do.' Martindale added: 'As a club we now have good owners behind us, there's a good skill-set in the building, and I'm hoping it's going to give us a wee bit of a better platform, so we're not approaching playing in the Premiership, and looking on it as survival – we want to compete. 'For me it's not just about survival, there has to be more, and I feel that Calvin can help push the club in the right direction. If I was going into that game – me, (CEO) Dave Black and (ex-chairman) John Ward, with no new ownership model behind us, the pressure would have been unbelievable, because we really probably needed Premiership football to keep people at the club, to keep the club afloat. Advertisement 'Calvin sent me a message before the game and said 'we all want to be in the Premiership and playing at the top level, but if it doesn't happen this year, let's make sure it happens next year' and that alleviated a lot of pressure on me. 'It allowed me, for probably the first time in many a season, to go into a game focused on being the football manager, and not looking at aspects of the business that it would have an impact on. Livingston bounced straight back to the top-flight after a season in the Championship -Credit:SNS Group 'I just feel that it's the first time this club is in a good place on and off the park, so there's a real support network there with Calvin. 'I think we're going to reap the benefits from having an owner with his kind of skill-set behind us, I think it's going to be absolutely pivotal for the club.'
