Tamarack West golf course in East Brunswick reopens after renovations
The newly renovated West Course at Tamarack Golf Course in East Brunswick, a Middlesex County facility, has opened to the public.
The renovations by Indigo Sports, a Troon company and funded through the Middlesex County Open Space Trust Fund, offer golfers brand new fairways, improved drainage, new tee boxes, new USGA spec greens with 100% bent grass putting surfaces, bunkers with up-to-date liners and sand, new golf carts and cart paths with added curbs near tee boxes and greens.
The East and West Courses were designed by golf course designer Mark Mungeam for maximum playability by players of all levels.
'With all the upgrades to Tamarack Golf Course over the past few years, our vision to make it a premier golf destination in this region will become a reality,' stated Middlesex County Commissioner Director Ronald G. Rios. 'By investing in the quality of life of our residents, our entire community benefits, not only from an exciting recreational activity, but we're also attracting new visitors and revenue to the county.'
'Getting outdoors and enjoying our vast green spaces is the key to a happy and healthy life,' added Middlesex County Commissioner Charles E. Tomaro, chair of the Infrastructure Committee, adding the course offers golf experiences at accessible rates.
Jeff Bebbino, Troon regional director of operations, said the renovated West Course will bring new players from all over the region to play on the upgraded course.

'I am very excited about the upgrades made to Tamarack West. The renovated course will be fun for all golfers, with enough strategic options and challenges to captivate the best players and beginners,' stated Mungeam.
'Tee expansions allow the course to be played at any length from 4,900 to 7,000 yards. Though the corridors are the same as the original course, each hole has been completely rebuilt, and the nines have been reversed. The gently rolling land through woods and streams provides a delightful setting," Mungeam added.
Tamarack Golf Course will incorporate other enhancements in the future and currently, there are upgrades to the façade and signs to improve exterior aesthetics.
