Boy George calls Paloma Faith 'extremely rude' in awkward unearthed clip after her childhood bullying row with Natalie Cassidy emerged
Boy George called Paloma Faith 'extremely rude' in an unearthed clip from their time on The Voice. The video has resurfaced amid EastEnders star Natalie Cassidy 's claims that the singer bullied her when they were at school together. And in 2016, Paloma had an explosive on-air argument with fellow The Voice judge Boy George. The drama unfolded during former Liberty X star Kevin Simm audition, where Boy George told him: 'There are a lot of big voices in the show. You sit and you think no one can be better than that, then suddenly someone sings. It's just constant surprise.' While the two were talking, Paloma pretended to be asleep and started snoring on the table in front of her, with an irritated George saying: 'Excuse me, Palaver,' She responded: 'Is it finished, is it time for us to wake up?' From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new Showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. George hit back, saying: 'That's extremely rude. Very rude. Anyway, you're amazing Kevin.' He added that Kevin should pick him over Paloma as his coach as she, 'doesn't have a hit in America'. After Kevin picks Paloma, George whispers to judge 'I'm not happy'. Paloma looked uncomfortable, and said to judge Ricky Wilson: 'I've upset George' When asked about the fallout on Lorraine while promoting the show, Paloma said: 'Not a real fallout, it was a work fallout. We fell out over something specific but not in the world of reality.' George added: 'I don't know Paloma well enough to know what the real fallout would be, but I don't think I could cope with it if it was a proper fallout.' It comes after Natalie thought back to her school days on her own podcast Life With Nat when her bad experience with Paloma came up. EastEnders star Natalie, 42, and singer Paloma, 43, both attended Islington Green School, with Paloma in the year above Natalie. Natalie claimed: 'Paloma Faith, she bullied me at school. She went to Islington Green and was in the year above me. We've spoken about it and she has said sorry about that. Gutted.' But in a twist to the tale, Paloma's comments about her own torment at school have emerged. Writing in a 2012 tweet, Paloma insisted her school days were far from easy, claiming: 'Yes I got bullied at school. I had braces and before that, wonky teeth.' Paloma, who has a degree in contemporary dance and once worked as a magician's assistant, has previously called Islington Green 'very, very rough,' adding that 'the police were there every day; there was a lot of violence.' But in spite of classmate Natalie's comments and the accusations of bullying, Paloma has called herself 'a pacifist,' explaining how her school's 'tough environment helped me develop a strong sense of self. I had to learn to stick to my guns and be stubborn.' She has also spoken positively about her 'incredible' teachers, gushing in an interview with The Standard: 'They were very encouraging to me. I was put in the Hackney Gazette because it was a failing school and I got all As at GCSE.' Natalie claimed: 'Paloma Faith, she bullied me at school. She went to Islington Green and was in the year above me. We've spoken about it and she has said sorry[(Natalie pictured in 1998) She has pointed out though that whilst she was inspired by the creative nature of her school, she didn't receive any formal music training, declaring: 'I did it all myself. I had no famous parents, no stage school, no BRIT School.' 'I didn't have lessons, ever, I just copied records.' After completing her A Levels at City and Islington College, Paloma went on to study for a degree in contemporary dance in Leeds before receiveing an MA in theatre directing at Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design. She juggled a huge array of part time jobs during her studies including as a sales assistant at Agent Provocateur, a singer in a burlesque cabaret and a magician's assistant.

Nick Hodgson reunites with his former Kaiser Chiefs bandmates as they perform for the first time together in over a decade
Nick Hodgson has reunited with his former Kaiser Chiefs bandmates as they perform for the first time together in over a decade at Leeds Newsham Park on Saturday. The former drummer and songwriter, 47, quit the band in December 2012 in order to 'pursue new challenges'. When he announced his departure from the Leeds collective via Twitter he insisted he had no hard feeling towards his former band mates. The rocker posted: 'I can confirm I have left Kaiser Chiefs after 15 spectacular years. I'm moving on. I wish the rest of the band the very best!' During his time with the famed band, the musician wrote the songs Ruby, I Predict A Riot and Oh My God. From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new Showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. When Nick first announced his departure he later said in a statement that he wanted to turn his attention to avenues of music. He said: 'After 15 years with the band and having achieved such amazing things thanks to the support and loyalty of our fans, I have decided to leave and turn my attention to other areas within the world of music and to pursue new challenges. 'It has not been an easy decision and one that the boys and I have discussed throughout this year. The band have been incredibly supportive of my decision. I wish them all continued success.' The group's three remaining members were quick to respond, with frontman Ricky Wilson replying: 'The door is on the latch and the key under the mat. X' Guitarist Andrew 'Whitey' White wrote: 'Gonna miss you @ I have your bunk? X' Bassist Simon Rix also joked: 'Good luck to @nickkaiserchief with his plans. I can exclusively confirm we will still be collaborating on pints in pubs.' The I Predict a Riot hitmakers then issued an official statement insisting Nick's departure wouldn't affect their plans as a group and their scheduled UK tour in February and March 2013 will still go ahead. The band's performance comes after Ricky reflected on his huge career change and how getting into radio has helped him following the success of the rock band. The Kaiser Chiefs frontman, 46, opened up about the highs and lows of fame admitting radio is now 'not only a joy' but also a 'three-hour mental workout, five days a week' for him. The singer discussed how he forged a new career in TV and radio after living it all up with the multi-platinum selling band - firstly joining The Voice for three seasons. Meanwhile last year, he came second on The Masked Singer where he was disguised as Phoenix, and also presented an art show on CBBC. But the rock star admitted that despite remembering the band's heyday fondly, he does not miss the fame and feels very at home while doing radio. Speaking to Sunday Times, Ricky explained he has been juggling between work duties and fathering two-year-old twins. He previously appeared on Radio X and Radio 2, but has now been a regular for 18 months hosting Virgin Radio's weekday drivetime show. Recalling how his first approach to radio was, he said: 'At first I found it terrifying. There's no one to bounce off — just me telling stories and musing on my life. The magic is in connecting with an audience. 'TV doesn't do that as much any more, but radio still has a strong community spirit. It's much my preferred place to be.' The Kaiser Chief frontman, 46, opened up about the highs and lows of fame admitting radio is now 'not only a joy' but also a 'three-hour mental workout, five days a week' for him (pictured in 2019) Ricky didn't hide the fame during Kaiser Chief's peak was 'terrific', although he doesn't miss it. Unveiling an ace up his sleeve, the TV personality revealed wearing 'cheap jeans' has always been his secret to not be recognised in public. Ricky's confidence with the spotlight must have been smooth also thanks to his father who was director of It's A Knockout, a family-friendly TV game show watched by millions in the 1970s. 'Only recently I realised that it must have massively affected what I do today. I am a nepo baby! Not because my parents' past got me a job but because I saw what was possible. I've always been comfortable on sets. Nothing in the entertainment industry has felt out of reach to me. Hey, we used to have Su Pollard hang out at our house.'

Kaiser Chiefs' Ricky Wilson on love for Volkswagen's Multivan, why it beats Toyota Rav4 & what TV icon left him in will
IT'S not every day you ask an international rock star to review a van. But if you think about it, it makes perfect sense. 4 4 Bands probably spend more time in a van, travelling to gigs, than your average plumber or sparky. Step forward Ricky Wilson, frontman of the Kaiser Chiefs. You might have heard of him/them. They're playing Glastonbury for the seventh time in 20 years next month. Here, Ricky talks about his love for Volkswagen's Multivan . . . as well as Henry the hoover, Richard Whiteley's tie and packet ham. It was an entertaining 20 minutes. The I Predict A Riot singer said: 'The thing is, you start off in a van. Then you say, 'We don't like vans', because, y'know, we don't want to be cramped in the van together and we're fed up of them. 'Then you get limos and tour buses and jets and all this stuff. Then you get to our age and you go, 'Why are we paying to arrive somewhere separately in swanky cars? Let's just get a van again'. 'So now we're using vans more than ever. Because we're looking at the bottom line. I want to go home with the money. I don't want to spend it on the road. 'We spend a lot of time in people carriers. I've even got a favourite seat. I go right at the back. No one's worked it out. Even though it's a smaller seat and it's not as comfortable, you get a lot more room atthe end of the day and you've got somewhere for your bag. 'I've got tricks. I sometimes take off the headrest and use it as a side pillow. I think now, if I could do it over again, I'd do a lot more driving. It whiles away the time a lot quicker when you're driving than sitting in the back with a towel over your head.' The Volkswagen ID3 GTX Performance You boys must have some stories after 20-odd years on the road? 'We've had a couple of police escorts in our time, which I quite like. You feel like you are in Coldplay or U2 or something. It's quite exciting. 'The tour manager probably told them we're bigger than we are. 'And I do like a golf cart. We did find out once that the keys to golf carts aren't really that secure. 'The key that undid the locker on the side of our truck also managed to start any golf cart. Once we found that out, festivals became a little bit of a nightmare. We could take any golf cart, whenever we wanted.' Ricky borrowed a Multivan to take the wife, the kids, the dog and the kitchen sink to the Isle of Wight recently — and now he wants one. He said: 'When we go away anywhere, I'm quite fastidious with the packing. I get quite uptight about it. 'I have to know where everything is and it has to slot in. With the kids and the dog, that's quite a lot of packing. 'When we got the Mulitvan, I chilled out a bit. I let go. We had more space. I was just chucking things in the back. I didn't really worry about it. I've got a Toyota RAV4 but try sticking a dog in between two car seats. It takes an awful lot of packet ham. Even the dog loved the Multivan. 'When my wife at the last minute says, 'Can we put this in?', I'm like, 'Yeah, whatever, darling'. It was quite a thrill for me to let go. 'I've got a Toyota RAV4 but try sticking a dog in between two car seats. It takes an awful lot of packet ham. Even the dog loved the Multivan.' The dog's called Reedus, by the way. Because Ricky's missus is a fan of actor Norman Reedus from The Walking Dead. 'It was either that or Tom Hardy. She liked him as well. I didn't really want to be walking across Hampstead Heath shouting, 'Hardy'. So his name's Reedus.' Ricky added: 'I'm not trying to bang on about the Multivan but I was just happy to drive around in it. 'We went to the Isle of Wight. I love it there. We went to the zoo. I fed a tiger. I dropped the Kaiser Chiefs bomb and we went backstage. 'I didn't feel like the dad who was the designated driver — and the kids loved it. They were sat higher than they've ever been in a car before. It's got that great big roof you can see through. 'We were driving home and I said that even if we won the EuroMillions tomorrow this would be the car I'd get. 'And I really meant it. Because I was just happy in it. I just haven't worked out what colour I'd get yet. Also, you get a bit older and your dreams turn from wanting a two-seater sports car that can go a million miles an hour to something you've actually got happy memories in. That sounds schmaltzy. But it made me feel really happy being in the van. The kids were really happy.' 4 As we chat, we discuss Ricky's time as a Virgin Radio DJ and his obsession with TV game shows. He's ticked most of them off. 'When I didn't win The Masked Singer I was livid' He said: 'Won Tipping Point. Won Catchphrase. Didn't get the jackpot. Furious with myself. Knights Of The Round Table. Why couldn't I see the round table? 'I am far too competitive. When I didn't win The Masked Singer I was livid. Thank God I had a mask on. My body language must have shown some of it but I was swearing in that thing, 'This is a f***ing outrage'. 'I'm doing Countdown next week. Dictionary Corner. 'Richard Whiteley left me one of his ties in his will. He was very pleased someone from Leeds had done so well in the charts. So that's going to be my mascot. 'I actually had him DJing once at a nightclub in Leeds. He didn't do much DJing but he stood behind the decks and put his hands in the air. We played the Countdown theme twice and The Final Countdown in the middle.' Right, I promised you Henry the hoover. Ricky made sure he gave the Multivan a good clean before handing it back. He said: 'I had a lot of pride in it. It wasn't even mine but I hoovered it before the guy picked it up. Always go with a Henry. I'm not going to say anything bad about any other hoover. 'You can try all the flashy new things with the chargers and all that but you can't beat a Henry. 'You can do anything with a Henry. It also works as an occasional chair when you've got guests round. 'I was recording an episode of TFI Friday when they brought it back and we'd been out afterwards. Chris Evans was there and his wife. Kirstie Allsopp. Some other people. I said, 'Come back to my flat'. 'I'd forgotten I'd ordered a sofa but I'd got rid of the other sofa. I think Kirstie Allsopp ended up sitting on the Henry.' Thank you, Ricky.
