World Endurance Championship announces 2026 schedule
The FIA World Endurance Championship has announced its 2026 schedule, which will be made up of the same venues as in 2025. Capitalizing on the momentum of 750,000 fans that attended events in these eight rounds, there was little reason to alter the schedule, which will begin with Round 1 in Qatar, March 26 - 28, 2026. The 2026 calendar comprises five regions: Europe, North America, South America, Asia, and the Middle East. 'We are pleased to present our 2026 FIA WEC calendar, which reflects the series' success by building upon a winning formula and format,' said Frédéric Lequien, CEO, FIA World Endurance Championship in a news release. 'All eight events have established themselves as firm favourites amongst competitors and fans. Every circuit offers its own unique characteristics and challenges – and invariably brings out the best from our incredible drivers, cars and teams. We look forward to continuing to put on a thrilling show all around the world! The highlight of the schedule will continue to be the 24 Hours of Le Mans, June 10 - 14. Four six-hour races will be held at Imola (April 17 - 19), Spa-Francorchamps (May 7 - 9), Sao Paulo (July 10 - 12), and Mount Fuji, Japan (September 25 - 27). The Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas, returns to the schedule on September 4 - 6 for the Lone Star Le Mans. WEC will conclude their season with an eight-hour race in Bahrain, November 5 - 7. 'After a period of expansion, including the addition of an eighth round in 2024, the FIA World Endurance Championship enters a phase of consolidation and stability with next season's calendar,' said Richard Mille, President, FIA Endurance Commission. 'The schedule continues to feature world-class circuits across key regions, striking the right balance between global exposure for manufacturers and the need to keep participation costs at a reasonable level. This stability lays a strong foundation for the continued success of the Hypercar class and supports the sustained growth of the world's premier endurance racing series.' 2026 WEC Schedule March 26 - 28: Qatar 1812 Kilometers (1,126 miles) April 17 - 19: 6 Hours of Imola May 7 - 9: 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps June 10 - 14: 24 Hours of Le Mans July 10 - 12: 6 Hours of Sao Paulo September 4 - 6: Lone Star Le Mans September 25 - 27: 6 Hours of Fuji November 5 - 7: 8 Hours of Bahrain

Cole Palmer sports limited-edition Richard Mille watch worth a staggering £220K as England star jets off with Chelsea to begin the Blues' Club World Cup campaign
Cole Palmer was seen wearing a watch worth an eye-watering £220,000 as the Chelsea star boarded a flight bound for the Club World Cup. Palmer, 23, wore the watch as he gazed out of a plane window in a photo uploaded to the Blues' social media accounts before they took off for the United States. He was sporting a Richard Mille RM 07-04 that is claimed to have been inspired as a nod to Italy's impressive collection of luxury car brands. A green, black, white, and red colour scheme also pays homage to the tricolour of the Italian flag and is made from lightweight titanium. That has seen the watch become a popular piece with professional footballers - with Palmer being the latest to exhibit it. Palmer has been able to shell out for the rare watch thanks to the salary he commands at Stamford Bridge, which sits at a reported £130,000, per Capology. Enzo Maresca's side will face Los Angeles FC in their first match of the tournament on Monday evening, before taking on Brazilian side Flamengo three days later. Their final group sees them play ES Tunis, after which they will hope to have advanced to the knockout stages and the final - which takes place on July 13. Maresca has thrown up some surprises with his squad selection, which has seen highly-rated youngster Kendry Paez fly to the US despite being omitted. The expectation remains that Paez, the 18-year-old Ecuadorian, will leave on loan this summer. He was signed on a pre-agreement at the age of 16 for £17million, and Chelsea's sister club Strasbourg is his likeliest destination. While it is understood Paez's preference would be to be around Chelsea's first team over the next season, the club are considering what is best for his progress. Andrey Santos has been used as an example over how a temporary stay at Strasbourg can benefit beneficial, with the 21-year-old Brazilian among those in their Club World Cup squad in the United States. Chelsea flew to Philadelphia on Friday to begin their prep for FIFA's expanded club competition. New man Liam Delap is expected to .

Richard Mille and Ferrari team up for a second, high-octane watch
The first time Richard Mille collaborated with Ferrari, many might have expected something that was related to race cars. The Swiss matchmaker's slogan, after all, is 'A racing machine on the wrist'. The RM UP-01 that debuted in 2022, a super slim design that was the world's thinnest watch on release, utterly bucked expectations. It's fitting, in a way, for Richard Mille, a brand that thrives on doing things differently. So when it came to a second outing with Ferrari, Richard Mille brought the surprise by going right back to fundamentals. Enter the RM 43-01 Tourbillon Split-Seconds Chronograph, designed in collaboration with Ferrari, a timepiece entirely about superlative, high-performance function in the spirit of speed and precision. The new reference is offered in two versions, each limited to 75 pieces: one cased in grade 5 titanium, and one in carbon TPT. The former to express the style of a 'gentleman driver' and the latter for a 'high-octane attitude', according to the brand's casing technical director Julien Boillat. 'In terms of performance, anything that has a technical purpose can also be beautiful,' explains Flavio Manzoni, Ferrari's chief design officer. 'The concept of functional beauty is something that we really love.' The timepiece boasts a split-seconds chronograph function, one of the most technically demanding to manufacture in watchmaking. To power it, Richard Mille partnered with Audemars Piguet Le Locle to design, over three years, the brand-new calibre RM43-01. Touted as a paragon of power and efficiency, this 514-part movement echoes the thrilling experience of a Ferrari V12 engine. Courtesy of Richard Mille Under the hood, the RM 43-01 also benefits from the aesthetic perspective of Centro Stile, the in-house design studio of Ferrari. The engine of one of the legendary marque's cars may roar, but the details on this timepiece are more akin to a purr for a connoisseur. Baseplates have a metallic finish that echoes sandcast engine components, X-shaped supports and raised ridges nod to parts on Ferrari engine blocks, Richard Mille's typical spline screws are replaced with hexagonal screws like the ones found on Ferrari engine covers, and the holes on the barrel's jewel setting recalls the clutch wheel of a V8 engine. Even the bezel, crown, hands, pushers and rubber strap take their cue from Ferrari's stylebook. If you're familiar with the hallmarks of a Richard Mille dial, you might be acquainted with the configuration of power reserve, torque and winding function indicators—details that preternaturally evoke an automotive's dashboard and gearbox. A racing machine indeed, and now in more ways than one. Pre-order your copy of the Vogue Man 'Gold' issue online or pick it up on newsstands from 13 June 2025.
