Reliance Infrastructure share price in focus today: Reliance Infrastructure share price gained 3% in early trade on Wednesday, June 18, to reach ₹ 377.70 apiece, following a ₹ 300 crore capital infusion by its promoter group. The company announced the allotment of 1.25 crore fully paid-up equity shares at ₹ 240 per share (including a premium of ₹ 230) to Risee Infinity Private Limited, a promoter group entity. The shares were issued upon the exercise of warrants, with the balance 75% of the issue price now paid. This capital raise, part of a preferential issue announced in October 2024, is expected to enhance the company's financial flexibility, support sustainable growth, and strengthen its positioning for future opportunities. "The capital infusion will strengthen Company's growth trajectory. This enhances financial flexibility and supports sustainable growth, positioning the Company to capitalize on future opportunities and drive long-term value creation," Reliance Infrastructure said in its Wednesday's regulatory filing. Reliance Infrastructure's share price has been buzzing on Dalal Street lately, driven by multiple positive developments that have lifted investor sentiment. The stock has surged from its April low of ₹ 210 to the current trading level of ₹ 375, delivering a massive gain of 78% in less than two months. Earlier in June, the NCLAT put bankruptcy proceedings against the company on hold. The proceedings had been initiated by IDBI Trusteeship Services Ltd over an alleged default of ₹ 88 crore. Meanwhile, Reliance Infrastructure announced that it had reduced its standalone net debt to zero, cutting about ₹ 3,300 crore in FY25. The company, which operates in the power, metro, roads, and defence sectors, said this move strengthens its financial position and sets the stage for future growth. In May, Reliance Infrastructure–promoted Reliance Defence entered into a strategic partnership with Düsseldorf-based Rheinmetall AG in the field of ammunition. This marks the third major alliance for Reliance Defence, following its successful collaborations with Dassault Aviation and the Thales Group of France.

Pakistan, China to face heat as Anil Ambani inks deal with German company to...., deal is with Rs ..

Anil Ambani (File) Reliance Defence has signed an agreement with German company Diehl Defence to make the advanced Vulcano 155mm Precision-Guided Munition System in India. These are special artillery shells that can hit targets with very high accuracy using laser and GPS guidance. The agreement supports India's goal to reduce dependence on foreign weapons and boost local defence manufacturing. The shells will be made in a new factory in Ratnagiri, Maharashtra. This area is part of the upcoming Dhirubhai Ambani Defence City. Production will include more than 50 per cent locally made parts, helping the 'Make in India' mission. Announced on June 10, the strategic cooperation will see Reliance Defence handle the production, while Diehl Defence will provide the key technology and guidance systems. These shells are designed for long-distance and accurate strikes, especially useful in situations where hitting the right target is more important than firing many rounds. This deal is expected to bring in Rs. 10,000 crore in business, and it will help India reach its goal of exporting Rs. 50,000 crore worth of defence products by 2029. The project shows how India is building strong capabilities in advanced weapons manufacturing and moving toward self-reliance in defence. The collaboration, which builds upon an earlier pact signed in 2019, also reflects Reliance Defence's intent to emerge among the top three private defence exporters in India. The Vulcano 155mm system is equipped with laser and GPS-guided navigation, capable of hitting targets with exceptional accuracy. Its inclusion in India's artillery arsenal will significantly enhance the operational capabilities of the armed forces, especially in high-stakes combat situations that demand precision over volume.

Anil Ambani creates history as his company becomes first in India to..., plans to invest Rs 50000000000, the company is...

Anil Ambani (File) In another major success for businessman Anil Ambani, his company, Reliance Infrastructure, has scripted history in India's defense sector, by becoming the first private firm to independently carry out a complete upgrade programme of a military aircraft without an original manufacturer (OEM). According to details, Anil Ambani-led Reliance Infra has successfully upgraded 55 Dornier-228 aircraft under a contract signed with state-owned Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL), in which US-based Genesys Aerosystems was also a technical partner. The initial contract was for 37 aircraft, but Reliance Infra secured another order for 18 more Dornier-228 upgrades after successfully completing the first order. The entire project will cost an estimated Rs 350 crore. Reliance Infra eyeing upgrade contracts worth Rs 5000 crore Meanwhile, the Anil Ambani-led company is now eyeing upgrade opportunities worth Rs 5,000 crore in the defense sector over the next 7 to 10 years. As per experts, Indian armed forces have thousands of aging military aircraft and helicopters with a service life of about 30-40 years, but these platforms require regular and timely upgrades, including upgradation of avionics, mission systems and safety equipment, to keep them relevant in the evolving modern warfare scene. Upgrade and maintenance can cost up to 200-300% of the platform's original cost over its lifecycle, and the global market for upgrading older military platforms with latest hardware is pegged at around Rs 5 lakh crore, which is expected to hit Rs 7 lakh crore in the next few years. Anil Ambani's 'Atmanirbhar Bharat' plan Notably, Anil Ambani's Reliance Infra is partnering with global defense firms as it plans to scale up its upgrade services for military aircraft and other platforms, a move which aligns with the Narendra Modi government's ambitious 'Atmanirbhar Bharat' initiative, that aims to make India self-reliant in manufacturing, including defense. Reliance Infrastructure is also working closely with French defense manufacturer, Thales, as part of the Performance-Based Logistics (PBL) programme of Rafale fighter jets in India, Additionally, Reliance Defence, a subsidiary of Reliance Infrastructure, has partnered with German arms maker Rheinmetall AG to manufacture propellants and explosives in Maharashtra's Ratnagiri district. The two partners will set up a factory as part of the proposed 1,000-acre Dhirubhai Ambani Defence City. Earlier, Reliance Defence signed similar deals with French Dassault Aviation and Thales, in addition to inking a deal with German arms maker Rheinmetall AG to manufacture artillery shells and ammunition in India. In a recent statement, Anil Ambani revealed that his goal was to make Reliance Defence among India top three defence exporters.

Home Business Pakistan to face more punishment, Anil Ambani to supply weapons to…, can strike targets within… Pakistan to face more punishment, Anil Ambani to supply weapons to…, can strike targets within… The collaboration, Ambani said, exemplifies resolve to catalyse sustainable growth, foster technological sovereignty, and position India as a formidable leader in the international defence arena. Reliance group founder Anil D Ambani and German arms manufacturer Diehl Defence CEO Helmut Rauch discussed strengthening strategic partnership on guided munition/terminally guided munition that they had entered into in 2019, the two firms said in a statement on Tuesday. 'For Diehl Defence, the collaboration with Reliance Defence is part of the company's commitment to the Indian market and to the 'Make in India' initiative of the Indian government,' the statement said. The main purpose of the current strategic cooperation agreement between the two groups is to focus on the urgent supply of the 'System Vulcano 155mm Precision Guided Munition' for the Indian armed forces. Reliance Defense stated that this partnership will enhance the domestic production of advanced 'Vulcano' 155 mm precision-guided ammunition systems, fulfilling the needs of Indian armed forces. According to the statement, the precision-guided 155 mm shells can strike targets within 10 seconds before reaching the estimated impact zone. This system is equipped with advanced electronic jamming-resistant mechanisms, making it difficult for the enemy to disrupt it. The upgraded ammunition system uses advanced laser and GPS-guided technology for target precision, significantly improving its accuracy. This makes it a crucial weapon in modern warfare scenarios. Revenue of Rs 10,000 Crores Reliance Defense estimates that this deal could generate revenue of up to Rs 10,000 crores. This projection reflects the growing demand for advanced ammunition systems and the company's capability to indigenize critical defense technologies. It also supports the government's target of achieving Rs 50,000 crores in defense exports by 2029. In parallel, the initiative 'System Vulcano 155mm under Make in India-II' is in progress with Reliance Defence as prime contractor for the Indian customer and Diehl Defence as strategic partner. The overall indigenous content under Make in India will be more than 50 per cent. 'Diehl Defence looks forward to strengthening the current relationship with Reliance in the context of TGM for the Indian armed forces,' said Helmut Rauch, CEO of Diehl Defence. Ambani said: 'This strategic alliance not only accelerates the advancement of India's defence manufacturing capabilities, but also positions Reliance Defence as a pivotal player in the global defence supply chain.' This cooperation between the two companies will also benefit from Reliance's current activities of setting up a greenfield manufacturing facility in the Watad Industrial Area in Ratnagiri, Maharashtra (India), which will eventually have an annual capacity to produce up to 200,000 artillery shells, 10,000 tonnes of explosives and 2,000 tonnes of propellant, the statement added.
