Popular teardown experts WekiHome took apart the upcoming flagship killer and we now have a clear picture of what to expect. K80 Ultra features a fiberglass back with a frosted finish and a quad curved metal frame, and a metal camera island. The front features a 6.83-inch LTPS OLED (FHD+ 144Hz) with symmetrical bezels. The panel is manufactured by TCL and features Xiaomi Dragon Crystal Glass protection. Redmi K80 Ultra weighs 223.5 grams. Will Xiaomi's Mix Flip 2 finally come to India? Here's what to expect from Galaxy Z Flip 7 rival
If you're curious about what's next in the world of foldable phones, Xiaomi's Mix Flip 2 is shaping up to be one of the most talked-about launches this summer. The buzz started on Weibo, where Xiaomi President Lu Weibing reached out to users of the original Mix Flip, asking what they liked and what could be improved. That move has all but confirmed that the Mix Flip 2 is on the horizon, with a China launch expected by the end of June, possibly alongside the Redmi K80 Ultra and a new Redmi gaming tablet. The Mix Flip 2 isn't just a minor refresh. It's rumoured to come with a large 6.85-inch LTPO OLED display, 1.5K resolution, and a 120Hz refresh rate, promising a crisp and fluid experience. Under the surface, you'll likely find Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, so performance shouldn't be an issue. Xiaomi is also aiming to make this model even slimmer and lighter than before, improving on the first generation's already impressive 7.6mm thickness and 192-gram weight. Battery life looks set for an upgrade too, with a 5,100mAh cell and support for 67W wired and 50W wireless charging, a step up from the previous 4,780mAh. The camera setup is expected to feature dual 50MP sensors for both main and ultra-wide shots. Features like a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, IPX8 water resistance, NFC, and an IR blaster are likely to return, keeping the Mix Flip 2 in line with Xiaomi's flagship standards. Competition is heating up, as Samsung's Galaxy Z Flip 7 is also tipped to launch in July. Samsung is expected to stick to a similar design but may offer a slightly larger 6.85-inch main display and a 4-inch cover screen, powered by the Exynos 2500 chip. The focus this year seems to be on a less visible crease and improved battery life, though the camera hardware is likely to remain unchanged. If the leaks are accurate, the Mix Flip 2 could be Xiaomi's only foldable for 2025 and a serious rival to Samsung's offering, at least in markets where both are available. The first Mix Flip was launched only in China and never made its way to India, so we will be watching closely to see if this year brings a change. For now, the stage is set for a close contest between two of the biggest names in foldables.

Redmi K80 Ultra stops by Geekbench, confirms its chipset, memory, and Android version
A few hours ago, Redmi ramped up its teaser campaign for the upcoming K80 Ultra, which is the brand's flagship smartphone. Now, the device has been spotted in the Geekbench database, where a prototype managed a single-core score of 2,679 and a multi-core score of 8,358. As always with benchmark results of pre-release devices, don't read too much into these numbers. The listing has confirmed the fact that the Redmi K80 Ultra is powered by MediaTek's Dimensity 9400+ SoC, and in the specific unit that ran the benchmark it was paired with 16GB of RAM, which we assume will be the top level, with 12GB possibly offered as well. The phone will launch running Android 15 with Xiaomi's HyperOS on top, and those are all the details that the benchmark run has uncovered. According to a certification from May, the handset will have a battery with a rated capacity of 7,270 mAh, which will translate into 7,400 mAh or 7,500 mAh typical advertised capacity. It is also expected to sport a 6.83-inch "1.5K" flat OLED screen, an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner, a triple rear camera setup with a 50 MP main, support for 100W wired charging, as well as IP68 and IP69 dust and water resistance ratings. The Redmi K80 Ultra is launching soon in China as the top-dog in the K80 series and it will apparently be joined by a new Redmi K Pad tablet. The interesting bit is that the slate will be of the compact variety and it is expected to offer flagship performance. Redmi China GM Thomas Wang shared a few interesting details on Weibo, revealing some additional specs for both the K80 Ultra and the K Pad. Redmi K80 Ultra and Redmi K Pad poster Both devices will be equipped with MediaTek's Dimensity 9400+ chipset. The K Pad will offer an 'industry-leading' high-resolution LCD screen with dual IC drivers. Despite being an LCD panel, the cost and complexity are said to be comparable to flagship OLED screens. Elsewhere, Xiaomi made custom weight reduction for key components for the K Pad's vibration motors, speakers and screen assembly. The tablet is also getting custom-built internal stacking for optimal performance. Redmi K Pad will cost in the CNY 4,000 ($557) range and is said to introduce several new technologies that have 'never been seen on Android tablets'. Based on speculation, Redmi K Pad will feature an 8.8-inch IPS LCD with "3K+" resolution and a 165Hz refresh rate. It is also expected to feature 67W fast charging.
