Rebel Wilson wants more action comedy roles after starring in Bride Hard. The 45-year-old actress reunites with her Pitch Perfect co-star Anna Camp in the new flick that centres on a chaotic wedding day and hopes to land similar roles in the future, even though she acknowledges that she is not going to be in the John Wick franchise. Rebel told The Hollywood Reporter at the movie's Los Angeles premiere on Wednesday (June 18): "Obviously I'm not a serious action person, I'm not going to be in the John Wick franchise, but I feel like action comedy maybe there's a few roles coming up in that space which would be really fun." The Australian star plays secret agent Sam in the movie which sees her childhood best friend Betsy's (Camp) wedding crashed by armed mercenaries and says that she had been looking to work with her pal once again on a new project. Rebel said: "I love Anna, I think she's one of the world's best actresses — she can do anything, if you've seen her recently in You or Hysteria!, she's so multitalented. "This movie required a girl squad, so I was like, 'Yeah, bring in Anna Camp.' She could play any role; she decided she wanted to be the bride and so we play besties yet again." The film is directed by Simon West and he says it was a straightforward decision to cast Anna because of her existing bond with Wilson. The director explained: "It was just easy because they're friends. There's so much else going on in the film and putting a film together, you go, 'How can we make that relationship work the best?' And getting somebody like Anna Camp who is already her best friend and has already worked with her and they know each other's timing, it just makes the whole thing so obvious." Meanwhile, Rebel revealed that she went into "beast mode" when it came to her physical preparation for the movie. The Bridesmaids star told People: "I was pretty strong during this movie. I trained for a full five weeks and did conditioning for it, and then I had to be really kind of in beast mode, but I really enjoyed it, getting paid to almost be fit, which is really good." However, the actress explained that she was almost left "permanently disfigured" by a "freak accident" on set. She told Access Hollywood: "In a fight scene, a gun accidentally got whacked across my face. "It was just a freak accident, and my nose got split open, so I left set. It was my last night of shooting. I was like, 'How unlucky can I be?' "I was freaking out. They take an ambulance and they have to call a plastic surgeon, because if they didn't, I would have been permanently disfigured. So we got the plastic surgeon, they did all the stitches, and you can't tell now." [[nid:719218]]

The actress pushed herself to her physical limits in preparation for the new movie. However, Rebel actually enjoyed the challenge of getting herself in tip-top shape for Bride Hard. She shared: "When I lived in South Africa, basically to pass the time I would watch Jackie Chan videos and his comic timing, and I just loved all the movies. Even if they weren't subtitled and I couldn't even understand the dialogue, I just loved all his comedy-action scenes. "They were so good. So I guess that's why I originally picked up nunchucks, to try to be a bit like Jackie Chan." Meanwhile, Rebel recently revealed that she was almost "permanently disfigured" while filming Bride Hard. The Hollywood star - who portrays a secret agent named Sam in the upcoming movie - was smacked in the face by a gun during her final night of filming, leaving her surrounded by a "pool of blood". But at Stellantis, the 2026 Ram 1500 will have its MSRP largely unaffected by the new tariffs that go into effect on July 1. According to order guide data obtained by CarsDirect, the increases will be minimal and only affect a single trim, with the base Tradesman model still starting at $40,275, excluding destination. One Trim Costs $595 More For 2026 Source: Ram After the Tradesman, the next most expensive Ram 1500 variant is the Tradesman HFE, and it won't be getting a price hike either, retaining its $41,060 base cost. Director Maruthi confident that Prabhas starrer 'The Raja Saab' will cross Rs 1000 crore at the box office
Picture Credit: X Director Maruthi is directing the upcoming horror comedy flick, 'The Raja Saab' starring Rebel star Prabhas . Recently the 43-year-old director has expressed high confidence in the film's success. According to an IANS report, during an interaction in Hyderabad, Maruthi admitted that he feels that the film is on track to breach the Rs 1000 crore mark at the box office upon its theatrical release. "It will definitely make that sum" When asked whether 'The Raja Saab' could match or surpass the box office numbers set by Prabhas' previous blockbusters ' Baahubali ' and 'Kalki 2898 AD', Maruthi responded with optimism. Answering the question in Tamil, he confidently predicted that the film would mint those numbers. Maruthi recalled how his earlier Telugu film 'Prema Katha Chithram' had been remade into Tamil as 'Darling', which turned out to be a massive success. His quote further reads, "You all know how big a hit 'Darling' was over there in Tamil Nadu. It was a remake of my Telugu film 'Prema Katha Chithram'. This film too will definitely work in Tamil as well." About the teaser The film's teaser was released earlier which included some high-end visuals giving a rich experience to the horror elements. The teaser shows Prabhas as a happy-go-lucky man who looks to make a fortune out of his ancestral mansion but later finds out that it is filled with haunted spirits. The movie also stars Sanjay Dutt, Nidhhi Agerwal, Malavika Mohanan , Riddhi Kumar, Boman Irani and others in key roles. The movie is set to release on December 5 and it will be released in multiple languages Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam.
