A REMATCH OF the most controversial all-Irish boxing match in recent years looks set to be elevated in its significance, with Lewis Crocker and Paddy Donovan moving closer to meeting for the vacant IBF welterweight world title in the autumn. Eddie Hearn, who promotes both Crocker and Donovan, tonight confirmed that current welterweight king Jaron 'Boots' Ennis intends to move up to light-middleweight on health and performance grounds, which would make it 'very likely that his belts will become vacated'. Belfast's Crocker [21-0, 11KOs] is the number-one-ranked contender for Ennis' IBF title following his disqualification victory over Limerick's Donovan in March, with Donovan [14-1, 11KOs] positioned next in line due to the contentious nature of his first career defeat. Advertisement The IBF initially ordered the Irish duo to meet again in a final eliminator for the 147-pound title following an appeal by Donovan's team, but if champion Ennis was to release the IBF title in the coming weeks, the sanctioning body would likely decree that the vacant belt be contested between Crocker and Donovan. And promoter Hearn says the weight cut to 147 pounds has become too prohibitive for Ennis, this despite his sublime stoppage of the world-class Eimantas Stanionis back in April. 'Boots is moving up,' the Matchroom boss told 'Unfortunately, after the Stanionis fight, he had his team around him, the doctors, the tests, and what they're basically saying is, 'Boots is underperforming [versus] his capabilities'. 'You saw him on fight week,' Hearn added, alluding to Ennis' gaunt physical condition before fight night. 'It doesn't take a genius to see it's hard work. And the amazing thing is he did that to Stanionis at 50% of his physical capabilities. 'It's very likely that his belts will become vacated. We'll meet this week.' Were the IBF to stick with its current rankings and allow Crocker and Donovan to meet again for world honours, the sequel would become the first all-Irish world-title fight in boxing history. Matchroom have been eyeing up a late September or early October date for the rematch, which will again take place in Belfast. Windsor Park, initially considered too big for a non-title bout between boxers who are not yet established stars, is currently being re-explored as a potential destination. The original bout at Belfast's SSE Arena was, in its own right, one the most significant to take place between two Irish boxers in the modern era. 'Real Deal' Donovan and trainer Andy Lee were left furious when the previously unbeaten Munsterman was disqualified for knocking down hometown hero Crocker after the bell had sounded to end the eighth round. Donovan had already been harshly deducted two points for head clashes by English referee Marcus McDonnell. Donovan had broadly dominated a compelling contest against his domestic rival, leading 'The Croc' 69-63 x2 and 67-65 on the three judges' scorecards and earning a legitimate knockdown before being disqualified for an illegal blow.

Actor Hugh Jackman has put his sprawling New York City penthouse on the market for $38.9 million—just days after agreeing to split the money from the property with his former spouse, Deborra-Lee Furness, amid their ongoing divorce. Jackman, 56, and Furness, 69, originally snapped up the dwelling in 2008 for a cool $21 million but in recent years have bee renting out the opulent unit—which was last on the market for $125,000 a month. However, in September 2023, the former couple announced that their marriage was over after 'almost three decades together as husband and wife,' with Furness officially filing for divorce in May 2025. In legal documents seen by People, Furness' lawyers indicated that the terms of her divorce from Jackman—who has since moved on with actress Sutton Foster—were not going to be contested and that the paperwork simply required a judge's sign-off in order to be made official. Then, on June 5, it was revealed that steps had been taken to divide up the couple's shared assets, with The Real Deal reporting that the couple had filed paperwork to split an extravagant penthouse apartment that the duo shares in Manhattan's Chelsea neighborhood. While that dwelling has yet to be listed, Jackman and Furness are moving ahead with the sale of one of their other New York City properties, a stunning five-bedroom penthouse located in the West Village. The extraordinary abode is spread across three floors and boasts 11,000 square feet of living space, including a 'dramatic double-height great room with walls of windows,' a private workout studio, a luxurious sauna, and a library. Designed by acclaimed architect Richard Meier, the property is described in its listing as a 'modernist masterpiece' that boasts a wealth of amenities, including dazzling views across the Hudson River. Jackman and Furness have previously tried to offload the property—listing it in 2022 for the exact same price that it has now been put on the market for. However, back in 2022, they hit pause on their plans to sell, instead putting it on the rental market in 2023. It is unclear whether Jackman and Furness plan to split the money from the sale of this apartment, which was not mentioned in the court filing that confirmed their decision to split their other New York abode. The listed apartment is currently still registered to an LLC through which the couple bought both units, however the Chelsea abode has since been transferred to a different shell company with ties to Furness, according to The Real Deal. has contacted Jackman's spokesperson for comment. Interestingly, the property's listing comes just days after Australian publication New Idea reported that Foster and Jackman had moved into one of his New York City penthouse together, with an anonymous insider claiming to the publication that Furness was upset that another woman was making herself at home in the dwelling that she had 'poured her soul into.' It's unclear which of the former couple's penthouses Jackman is currently living in—however he has spent the past six months based in Manhattan while doing a series of live shows at iconic New York venue Radio City Music Hall. Though Furness has not publicly commented on her former husband's romance with Foster, she hinted at the 'betrayal' she felt after their split, issuing an emotional statement to the Daily Mail after filing for divorce. 'My heart and compassion goes out to everyone who has traversed the traumatic journey of betrayal. It's a profound wound that cuts deep, however I believe in a higher power and that God/the universe, whatever you relate to as your guidance, is always working FOR us,' she said. 'This belief has helped me navigate the breakdown of an almost three-decade marriage. I have gained much knowledge and wisdom through this experience. Even when we are presented with apparent adversity, it is leading us to our greatest good, our true purpose. 'It can hurt, but in the long run, returning to yourself and living within your own integrity, values and boundaries is liberation and freedom.' In addition to their New York City properties, Jackman and Furness also own a 2.5-acre estate in East Hampton, NY, which they picked up for $3.5 million in 2015—before spending six years renovating it into their perfect weekend escape. Situated by the water, the property boasts three bedrooms, five bathrooms, and a guesthouse with a bedroom and two bathrooms. It measures 7,300 square feet and features floor-to-ceiling glass doors and a stunning swimming pool. A year after purchasing their East Hampton home, the couple splashed out $5.9 million on a property in Australia. It is believed that Jackman will take over the three-bed, two-bath, six-balcony home following their divorce. Hugh Jackman and Deborra-Lee Furness have begun formally separating their shared assets as their divorce progresses. The transaction was recorded on 25 May, two days before 68-year-old Furness filed for divorce from Hugh Jackman, also 55, following 27 years of marriage. According to property records reviewed by People, an LLC tied to Furness paid $11.7 million to the LLC the couple had used when they acquired a Manhattan penthouse in New York 2022 for a reported $21 million. The home is now valued at around $23 million, with the Real Deal first to report the sale. Hugh and Deborra's former luxury apartment, located in a landmark starchitect-designed building in Chelsea, spans nearly 5,000 square feet across two floors, with an additional 3,700 square feet of outdoor space. Situated near the Hudson River, the area is known for its distinctive architecture and celebrity residents. The property is one of several high-value homes acquired by the pair during their nearly three-decade-long relationship. Hugh and Deborra reportedly still own residences in New York's West Village, the Hamptons, a waterfront condominium overlooking Bondi Beach in Sydney, as well as other properties in the US, UK and Australia. They met on the set of the Australian TV series Correlli in 1995 and married on 11 April 1996. The pair adopted their son, Oscar, now 24, in 2000, and their daughter, Ava, 19, in 2005. In September 2023, they confirmed their separation in a joint statement shared with People, saying: 'Our family has been and always will be our highest priority. We have been blessed to share almost three decades together as husband and wife in a wonderful, loving marriage. 'Our journey now is shifting and we have decided to separate to pursue our individual growth.' In May, Deborra issued a separate statement discussing the emotional impact of the split. She said: 'My heart and compassion goes out to everyone who has traversed the traumatic journey of betrayal. It's a profound wound that cuts deep.' Deborra added: 'However, I believe in a higher power and that God or the universe, whatever you relate to as your guidance, is always working for us. 'That belief has helped me navigate the breakdown of an almost three-decade marriage.' According to The Daily Mail, a source claimed Hugh was 'blindsided' by Deborra's comments and 'extremely disappointed', alleging there had been 'an unwritten understanding that she would not trash him to the press'. As of 30 May, the couple had reportedly reached an agreement to divide their estimated $387 million fortune. Deborra's court filings stated the divorce was uncontested and required only judicial approval to be finalised.

The Hotel Bossert, a former luxury hotel in Brooklyn Heights, has been acquired by real estate firm SomeraRoad for $100 million — and it's going residential. The Italian Renaissance Revival-style building is an icon of Montague Street. The locally beloved landmark, where the Brooklyn Dodgers celebrated their only World Series championship in 1955, languished through more than a decade of stop-start renovations before it was recently snapped up by SomeraRoad, the Brooklyn Eagle reported. 6 The Hotel Bossert sits on the corner of Montague and Hicks streets. Getty Images The years of false starts and pesky scaffolding began after the former hotel's 2012 purchase by developers Joseph Chetrit and David Bistricer for $81 million. The previous owners planned to reopen the relic as a boutique hotel with 302 rooms, according to the Eagle. Their renovation efforts repeatedly stalled, however. Chetrit bought out Bistricer in 2019, the Real Deal reported. The saga ended earlier this year with $177 million of debt and a foreclosure auction. Beach Point Capital acquired the decaying hotel from the Chetrit Group at auction for $999,000. SomeraRoad purchased the property from Beach Point Capital, with the latter providing a $71 million mortgage, according to the Real Deal. The 14-story Hotel Bossert was constructed as an apartment hotel in 1909 by lumber magnate Louis Bossert. Its nautical-themed Marine Roof Supper Club was the toast of the town in its mid-20th century heyday, known for unbeatable Manhattan views and live music. 6 The hotel entrance in 1958. The group sold the building to Bossert and Chetrit in 2012 amid a massive property selloff when they left Brooklyn for upstate New York. A 2019 New York Magazine story chronicled the experiences of the former hotel's five remaining rent-stabilized residents still living in the near-vacant building. Now, the grand 116-year-old hotel plans to welcome residents in one of Brooklyn's most in-demand areas. 6 Brooklyn Heights' hot real estate market makes the hotel's residential future especially enticing. Google Earth The Hotel Bossert's new owners, SomeraRoad, boast a track record of adaptive reuse projects — the firm gained attention for its successful restoration of the former India House building at One Hanover Square in 2023. Its founder, Ian Ross, is a Brooklyn resident. 'SomeraRoad plans to honor the property's rich history and restore and reopen the building as residences,' the company wrote in a statement.

The remnants of Mohamed Hadid's stalled-out megamansion could be yours. The demolished concrete remains of Hadid's $50 million Los Angeles residence are being sold in a sealed-bid auction, the Real Deal reported. The no-reserve sale has a starting bid of $7.9 million and lasts until July 16. The former dwelling earned the nickname 'Starship Enterprise' from alarmed neighbors, who feared the pad's gargantuan size and uncertain foundations would lead to a cliffside disaster for the entire neighborhood. 5 Hadid's would-be home sold at auction in 2021 after he was ordered to tear it down. Hadid, a real estate developer and father to Bella and Gigi Hadid, began construction on the planned megamansion in 2014. The tycoon fought the city of Los Angeles for several years to build the estate. Hadid's company 901 Strada LLC filed for bankruptcy when he was ordered to tear down the structure. Sahara Construction listed the property for sale in the fall of 2023 for $18 million, The Real Deal reported, but the listing was removed last year. 'The demolition took a tremendous amount of money,' Premiere Estates Auction Company's Todd Wohl told the outlet. 'From the court's standpoint, the legal issues and development issues are cured. There's a flat pad now. This would survive a major earthquake.'
