Glasgow artist Alannah Moar releases brand new single
Alannah Moar, a Glasgow-based alt-pop artist, has released her latest single Sandpaper, a track that reflects on feelings of self-awareness and personal growth. Known for her dramatic folk-pop, Moar began her musical journey at the age of 14 and has spent the past decade honing her craft. She has headlined shows in Glasgow and Edinburgh and performed alongside artists including KT Tunstall, Amanda Palmer, Callum Beattie, Soda Blonde, and Lazy Day. The release, designed to resonate with anyone who has faced the hard truth of personal accountability, marks another step in her artistic growth. Described as mixing an "infectious" rhythm with "deeply introspective" lyrics, the song was inspired by a period of personal struggle in the young artist's life. Alannah said: "The narrative is about realising you're the problem in a relationship, which sounds depressing, but I think it's actually quite optimistic - because it's acknowledging that you have to do better, and that's hopeful." Originally written in pieces, Sandpaper evolved, drawing influence from the glossy pop sounds of Chappell Roan, Sabrina Carpenter, and Charli XCX. Alannah said: "I refined it, made it a bit more me, a bit less of a pastiche." Through her continued updates, the artists hoped to balance a polished production style with vulnerable storytelling.

Ready or Not 2 wraps filming, gets 2026 release date
The much-awaited sequel to the hit 2019 horror-thriller Ready or Not—Ready or Not 2: Here I come is scheduled for a release in theatres on April 10, 2026, announced Searchlight Pictures. The film whose principal photography began in April in Toronto, has now wrapped filming. Samara Weaving reprises her role as Grace from the original film. She will star alongside Kathryn Newton, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Shawn Hatosy, Néstor Carbonell, Kevin Durand, Olivia Cheng, David Cronenberg and Elijah Wood. Directors Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett, along with writers Guy Busick and R Christopher Murphy are returning for the sequel. Andrew Stearn, Brett Jutkiewicz and Avery Plewes are also coming back to the team as Production designer, director of photography and costume designer respectively.

Star-Studded Ensemble Joins Samara Weaving Joining Samara Weaving in her starring role as Grace are Kathryn Newton, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Shawn Hatosy, Néstor Carbonell, Kevin Durand, Olivia Cheng, David Cronenberg, and Elijah Wood. A large portion of the 'Ready or Not' creative team is returning for the follow-up, including writers Guy Busick and R. Christopher Murphy, as well as directors Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett. Additionally, making a comeback are production designer Andrew Stearn ('The Umbrella Academy'), director of photography Brett Jutkiewicz ('Scream'). Filming Wrapped, Plot Under Wraps Searchlight declared today that the sequel's principal photography is complete, having started in Toronto in April. Details of the plot are kept secret. Producers Bradley J. Fischer, William Sherak, James Vanderbilt, and Tripp Vinson are involved. Sarah Michelle Gellar Says Children of Original ‘Buffy the Vampire Slayer' Actors Auditioned for Reboot
Sarah Michelle Gellar revealed that she saw some familiar names on the audition roster for the Buffy the Vampire Slayer reboot. The actress who played Buffy Summers in the original series, which ran for seven seasons from 1997 to 2003, recently chatted with Us Weekly with her former Buffy co-star Alyson Hannigan, who portrayed Willow Rosenberg. During the interview, Hannigan confessed, 'I know somebody who auditioned for something on the show.' Though the Wolf Pack star didn't reveal the names of those who auditioned, last week it was announced that Star Wars: Skeleton Crew actress Ryan Kiera Armstrong has been cast in a lead role in Hulu's pilot for the reboot. The new show will also see Gellar reprise her role as Buffy Summers. 'From the moment I saw Ryan's audition, I knew there was only one girl that I wanted by my side,' Gellar said in a statement regarding Armstrong's casting. 'To have that kind of emotional intelligence, and talent, at such a young age is truly gift. The bonus is that her smile lights up even the darkest room.' Most details on Armstrong's role, as well as the show itself, are being kept under wraps. The original series, which also starred Nicholas Brendon, Anthony Head, James Marsters and Emma Caulfield Ford, followed Buffy Summers, destined to slay vampires, demons and other infernal creatures, as she dealt with her life of fighting evil, with the help of her friends. A premiere date for the reboot has yet to be revealed. ‘Ready or Not: Here I Come Sequel' Lands April 2026 Release Date in Theaters
Searchlight Pictures' sequel to its 2019 horror comedy pic Ready or Not will hit theaters April 10, 2026, the studio said Thursday. Ready or Not: Here I Come sees Sarah Michelle Gellar and Elijah Wood join series star Samara Weaving. The movie, which begun production in earlier this spring, has rounded out its cast with Kathryn Newton, Shawn Hatosy, Néstor Carbonell, Kevin Durand (Abigail) and Olivia Cheng, as well as acclaimed horror filmmaker David Cronenberg. Ready or Not: Here I Come is produced by Tripp Vinson, James Vanderbilt, Bradley J. Fischer and William Sherak. The film was a moderate success critically and commercially, grossing $28 million at the domestic box office and more than $57 million against a $6 million budget. Tripp Vinson, James Vanderbilt, Bradley J. Fischer and William Sherak are producing the sequel.
