Can Akshay Kumar's 'Hera Pheri 3' survive without Paresh Rawal?
Hera Pheri 3 will not be the same without Paresh Rawal. Fans are already disappointed by Paresh Rawal's exit and believe the film will suffer without him. Let's break down the cause for Rawal's exit and more read more The character of Babu Bhaiya played by Paresh Rawal is one of the most delightful characters in Hindi cinema. Co-stars like Suniel Shetty have also expressed doubt as to whether Hera Pheri 3 will be able to sustain the same magic without Rawal. What Suniel Shetty have to say? According to reports, Suniel Shetty has stated that Hera Pheri 3 cannot happen without Paresh Rawal's Babu Bhaiya. He emphasizes the importance of the dynamic between Raju, Shyam, and Babu Bhaiya for the film's success. STORY CONTINUES BELOW THIS AD The controversy following Rawal's exit Akshay gave Paresh a paper to sign for Hera Pheri 3 and said that the full agreement would come later. However, Rawal was unsure as he didn't see any script. 'Akshay told him, 'Don't worry, trust me. You'll see it later in the longform agreement.' Based on his personal rapport with Kumar and acting in good faith, Paresh Rawal signed the term sheet," the source shared. 'The promo was eventually filmed on the Bhooth Bangla set, with some modifications. Shooting was initially scheduled to begin in 2026. Rawal suggested deferring the promo shoot to next year. To date, Paresh Rawal has not received a long term agreement, script, or any official production details,' the source added. As per TOI, a source close to Rawal, said, 'Paresh Rawal has a longstanding investment in the character of Baburao Ganpatrao Apte (Babu Bhaiya) and wanted to have clarity before proceeding.' Akshay Kumar is still hopeful and believes that the film will be successful even with Paresh Rawal. But Paresh Rawal's character as Baburao, who plays a kind of bridge between Raju (Akshay Kumar) and Shyam (Suniel Shetty) in the Hera Pheri films, will be hugely missed by all cinema lovers. What do you think will Hera Pheri 3 be accepted by the audiences the way it was without the presence of Rawal?

Akshay Kumar believes Hera Pheri 3 can be successful without Paresh Rawal: ‘I hope everything goes well…'
When actor Paresh Rawal announced his exit from Hera Pheri 3, he left his co-stars, director and fans shocked. Although it was initially reported that Rawal decided to quit due to creative differences with Priyadarshan, both the actor and director confirmed that this was not true. In a recent interview, Kumar talked about Rawal's untimely exit from the project and everything that has followed since then. In an interview with Pinkvilla, the actor said, 'Whatever is happening is happening in front of you. Keeping my fingers crossed. I hope everything goes well, and it will. That I know for sure.' Paresh Rawal's character Baburao, who plays a proverbial bridge between Raju (Akshay Kumar) and Shyam (Suniel Shetty) in the Hera Pheri films, will be deeply missed by fans. ALSO READ: Paresh Rawal's lawyer accuses Akshay Kumar of not delivering Hera Pheri 3 screenplay, says his exit due to 'overall disorganisation' Hera Pheri 3: What has happened so far After Paresh Rawal announced his exit from Hera Pheri 3, Akshay Kumar, who is also serving as a producer of the film, decided to sue the actor for unprofessional conduct. His production company, Cape Of Good Film, decided to sue Rawal for Rs 25 crore, and the actor quickly put his own legal team to work. Rawal, who was reportedly going to be paid Rs 15 crore for the movie, returned his signing bonus of Rs 11 lakh with interest. But even though the amount was paid back, director Priyadarshan expressed his disappointment with the entire episode and told Mid-Day that Rawal could have 'picked up the phone and told me before going to the media.' His co-star Suniel Shetty also weighed in on his exit and revealed in an interview with India Today that he was completely out of the loop regarding Rawal's decision. 'Athiya and Ahan (his children) sent the news to me, asking, 'Papa, what is this?'' And I was here doing my interviews, and I felt like, 'Holy s***.'' He also told ANI that without Rawal's presence, there is a 100% chance that the movie will not work. Akshay Kumar, who is currently basking in the success of Housefull 5 at the box office, talked to the media about the situation while promoting the film. Despite suing Rawal and being distraught about his exit, Kumar defended his co-star when a reporter called Rawal's actions 'foolish' and said, 'Let me first tell you that using a word like 'foolish' for my co-star is something I won't appreciate.' He added, 'It is not right. I have worked with him for the last 32 years. We are very good friends. He is a great actor. I really admire him.'

Only 3% Of Hours A Year Offer Clean Air, Comfortable Conditions In Delhi: Study
New Delhi: Only three per cent of the hours in a year in Delhi offer both clean air and thermally comfortable conditions necessary for safe natural ventilation, according to a new study. The study, conducted by CEPT University and climate-tech firm, found that Delhi records around 2,210 thermally comfortable hours with outdoor temperature in the range of 18 degrees Celsius to 31 degrees Celsius. But 1,951 of those hours also coincide with poor air quality (air quality index above 150). That leaves just 259 hours in the year, about three per cent, when residents can enjoy both clean air and pleasant temperatures. The study, presented at the Healthy Building 2025 Conference of the International Society of Indoor Air Quality on June 8, said the overlap of heat and air pollution severely limits opportunities for safe natural ventilation. Compared to Delhi, Bengaluru fared much better with over 8,100 hours of acceptable air quality and minimal overlap between thermal comfort and pollution. Ahmedabad, despite being warmer, also offered more usable outdoor conditions. However, Chennai, like Delhi, saw 88 per cent of its comfortable hours affected by poor air quality. The researchers said the study shows that convergence of heat and pollution is becoming widespread across Indian metros. Conventional building operations, either based on fully sealed air-conditioned spaces or unfiltered natural ventilation, no longer meet the needs of urban India, they said. To address the challenge, the study recommends mainstreaming Personalised Environmental Control Systems (PECS) in Indian buildings. These systems offer filtered ventilation, occupant-level control and localised thermal comfort and are especially useful in mixed-mode buildings that shift between natural and mechanical ventilation based on time of day, season or pollution levels. "PECS (ventilation) contributes to both short-term and long-term health and energy performance outcomes," said Rajan Rawal of CEPT University, a leading building science expert. "With ongoing improvements in AQI across Indian cities, there is growing potential for occupants to utilise natural ventilation when outdoor conditions permit. Nevertheless, PECS continues to offer substantial energy savings under prevailing conditions," he said. The modelling by researchers found that PECS can save up to 72 per cent energy used for ventilation in Chennai, 70 per cent in Ahmedabad and 68 per cent in Delhi, compared to conventional air-conditioned setups. "PECS work especially well in conjunction with low-energy solutions like ceiling fans and task-based ventilation," Mr Rawal added.

Kejriwal threatening voters to stop development works if Arora not elected: Complaint to CEO
Citing the recent speeches of AAP national convenor Arvind Kejriwal who has been campaigning for the party's Ludhiana West bypoll candidate Sanjeev Arora, Ludhiana resident- cum-social activist Kimti Rawal, 57, has filed a complaint against him to Punjab's chief electoral officer (CEO) that the AAP chief was 'directly threatening the voters to stop developmental works in the constituency if they won't vote for Arora'. 'Although I am a member of BJP's RTI cell, I have filed this complaint as a common voter as it is a crime to threaten voters by saying that their developmental works won't be done if they will vote for Opposition party's candidate. The Election Commission needs to take strict notice of how the chief of the ruling party is openly making such threatening statements as video evidence is available in all official videos released by the party,' Rawal said. Requesting for 'legal action against open and direct threat to voters of Ludhiana', Rawal in his complaint wrote: 'The creator of the Indian Constitution, Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar, has given every citizen of India this legal right to vote for anyone according to his/her own opinion without any bias, fear, and without any discrimination. It is a legal crime to intimidate a voter in any way. The Indian Constitution has appointed the Election Commission as the responsible body for conducting a fair and impartial election system.' 'The elections for Ludhiana West constituency are going to be held on 19 June 2025, for which the entire government staff of the Punjab government has been put on alert… It seems this is not an election, but a war is being fought… Aam Aadmi Party's National Convener Shri Arvind Kejriwal directly threatened the voters of the West constituency, saying, 'If you vote for any other candidate and win, there will be no development work in your area.. The government is ours',' reads the complaint. 'In several of his campaign speeches in Ludhiana, Kejriwal said: 'Jiski sarkaar hai ussi ka MLA banana (Elect only that party's MLA who is running the government).' 'Kejriwal also said that Mr Sanjeev Arora is a rich man. Apart from the government, he can also spend money from his own pocket. I am sending you copies of his statement and video clip as evidence, which directly intimidates and lures the voters to vote for his candidate who is a current Rajya Sabha member. It is a crime to threaten the voters this way…The voters of Ludhiana West should be allowed to fulfil their responsibility to vote impartially and fearlessly and protect the rights of Punjab, Punjabis and Punjabiyat. The Hon'ble Supreme Court should be informed about his intimidation and threats to the Punjabis,' said Rawal in his complaint. In one of his recent speeches, Kejriwal said: 'A man came to me and I asked him 'for whom will you vote?' He said (Bharat Bhushan) Ashu (Congress candidate). I asked why. He said because 'I am a traditional Congress supporter'. I said tell me one thing. If the road in front of your house needs repairs, if you stop getting water supply, or if there's any other issue.. who will get your works done? Ashu can't get your works done because he is in Congress whereas government in Punjab is of AAP and CM Bhagwant Mann is ours. From will Ashu get funds and power to get your works done? Ashu is in Opposition who can neither get your roads made nor parks. Hence vote for AAP if you want your works done.' Reacting to the complaint, Punjab AAP spokesperson Neel Garg said: 'It is not a threat. He just means to say that if the MLA and government are of the same party, then there will be better coordination for conducting development works at a faster pace. BJP often says that there should be 'double engine' sarkaar at the Centre and in the state. We only mean to say that it will only lead to better coordination if the MLA and the state government are from the same party.' Punjab chief electoral officer Sibin C said: 'We have to check and examine the parts of speech in the context of model code of conduct (MCC) rules to see if there has been any violation. Action will be taken accordingly.' Divya Goyal is a Principal Correspondent with The Indian Express, based in Punjab.
