Today's Shares: Apollo Shares Rise With 2.2% Boost After Full Dividend Reveal
Shares of Apollo Food Holdings Bhd rose 2.24% to RM6.39 as of 11.45am on Tuesday (Jun 18), buoyed by its record-breaking FY2025 results and a 100% dividend payout, as the company continues to navigate cost pressures including Malaysia's Sales and Service Tax (SST) hike.
The counter opened at RM6.30, touched a high of RM6.40, and saw 14,900 shares traded. The previous close was RM6.25.
Apollo recently announced a 28% year-on-year (YoY) rise in 4QFY2025 revenue to RM73.3 million, with net profit jumping 50%, driven by stronger sales and leaner operating costs. Full-year revenue reached RM298.4 million, with an operational net profit of RM40.2 million — its highest in history.
Despite concerns around the SST hike from 6% to 8% in March, Apollo's steady performance signals effective pricing and cost-control strategies, allowing the company to maintain competitiveness in the consumer goods space.
Apollo declared a second interim dividend of 20 sen per share, payable 23 July 2025, bringing total dividends for the year to 50 sen — a full payout of annual earnings.
Investors appear confident Apollo can sustain margins even as broader consumer sentiment remains cautious amid SST-driven inflation. Related
