Lens' Hervé Koffi set for Angers move
RC Lens goalkeeper Hervé Koffi (28) is set for a move to SCO Angers, according to a report from Mohamed Toubache-Ter. Koffi failed to seize his chance to become Lens' No.1 following Brice Samba's departure for the club. The France international joined Stade Rennais in January, however, Koffi struggled to replace him in the weeks that followed, which saw Les Sang et Or dip into the market to sign Australian goalkeeper Mat Ryan (33). Advertisement There could be yet further change between the sticks for Lens this summer, but either way, it looks as though Koffi will not be at the club. As per Toubahce-Ter, the Burkina Faso international will join Angers on a season-long loan deal. Le Sco, who last season avoided the drop, will pay a part, but not all, of the player's wages. There is no buy option included in the deal. The move will naturally raise questions about the future of Yahia Fofana (24), who is likely to be coveted following a strong campaign last time around. St. Pauli confirm Guilavogui departure
After Morgan Guilavogui impressed on loan at St. Pauli from Lens in the 2024/25 campaign, the Bundesliga side triggered a purchase option set at a reported €3 million to sign him permanently. However, the French striker won't be staying in Hamburg, as RC Lens have activated a buyback clause reportedly worth €4.5 million to bring him back. Advertisement FC St. Pauli confirmed the move on Wednesday. 'The plan we pursued with Morgan before the season worked very well. He slotted in outstandingly well, both in footballing terms and as a person," said St. Pauli's director of sport, Andreas Bornemann. "In view of the performances he put in, we would have liked to keep him here. We put that on record by exercising the purchase option, but because Lens had an option to buy him back, the final decision on Morgan's future was out of our hands.' Guilavogui scored seven goals and provided four assists in 27 appearances for St. Pauli during the 2024/25 campaign.

Lens interested in Marseille's Neal Maupay
RC Lens are interested in Olympique de Marseille centre-forward Neal Maupay (28), according to a report from Foot Mercato. Maupay proved useful for Marseille at times in the season, especially before Amine Gouiri's arrival in January. However, the signing of the Algeria international saw the former Brighton and Hove Albion, Brentford, and Everton forward used more sparingly in the second part of the campaign. Advertisement Over the course of the season, he scored four goals and registered four assists in 24 appearances. Foot Mercato understands, however, that Maupay may not have a future at the Vélodrome. He is, nonetheless, attracting interest. RC Lens are interested in the Frenchman, who could even be used in the deal that could see Facundo Medina make the opposite move. The publication reports that a €20m deal for the Argentine is close, however, with Lens' interest in Maupay, the centre-forward could be used as a makeweight in a potential deal. The Marseille forward is, in any case, strongly appreciated by Lens. GFFN | Luke Entwistle

Pierre Sage appointed Lens manager
RC Lens have appointed Pierre Sage as their new manager. The former Olympique Lyonnais head coach succeeds Will Still in the role. Lens have been without a manager since the final day of the Ligue 1 season, when Still shocked journalists by announcing his departure after just one season at the helm. He has since taken the job at Southampton. Just over two weeks after his departure, Lens have named his successor – Sage. Advertisement It is the Frenchman's first job since his sacking as manager of Lyon at the start of the year. With the chances of UEFA Champions League qualification slipping away, Paulo Fonseca was brought in at OL. Despite a brief uptick, the Portuguese manager failed to get Lyon into the top four. The likes of USL Dunkerque's Luís Castro and EA Guingamp's Sylvain Ripoll had been linked with the job, however, Sage has now signed on the dotted line. His contract runs until 2028. Socceroos veteran doesn't want European dream to end
Ryan is currently without a club after his contract with French Ligue 1 team RC Lens ended. The 33-year-old is desperate to stay in Europe, but he doesn't want another situation like the one he faced at AS Roma. Ryan signed for the Italian giants in July last year, only for the dream to turn into a nightmare after making just one appearance across his six-month stint there. That lack of game time put his position as Australia's No.1 gloveman in doubt, but the stint in France helped him regain his mantle. The June transfer window is now open, and Ryan is optimistic a good opportunity will pop up. If Ryan plays a key role in helping Australia secure World Cup qualification in upcoming games against Japan and Saudi Arabia, it could boost his stocks even further. "I'm not too worried," Ryan said. "I just go out there and try my best and everything sorts itself out at the end of the day. "That's been the trend throughout my career. So I'm feeling quite at ease about that, and just focused on the job at hand here with the Socceroos." When asked if he wanted to stay in Europe, Ryan replied: "Yeah, 100 per cent. That's my ambition still. "I'm hungrier than I've ever been before, wanting that success. "I'm feeling good, and I'm feeling still quite young. "I've just got to obviously continue to do the job and prove that I'm a world-class goalkeeper through my performances, and the rest will take care of it itself."
