The full schedule for the ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2026 was unveiled on Wednesday, with the tournament set to begin on June 12. Matches will be played across six venues in England and opening clash will feature hosts England taking on Sri Lanka at Edgbaston. Ten teams will compete in the tournament, split into two groups of six. Four of these spots will be filled via the global qualifiers. Group 1 features India, Pakistan, Australia, South Africa, and two qualifying teams. The 2025 U.S. Open will feature a number of LIV Golf players competing alongside the game's top talent at Oakmont. With LIV golfers continuing to earn spots in major championships, several familiar names from the league are part of this year's field. Here's a look at the LIV Golf players set to compete in the U.S. Open. LIV Golf Players at U.S. Open Richard Bland Bland earned his spot in the 2025 U.S. Open by winning the U.S. Senior Open. The English veteran has found success on both the European and senior circuits and now looks to make an impact at Oakmont. Bryson DeChambeau DeChambeau won the 2020 and 2024 U.S. Opens and secured his spot this year by finishing among the top 10 scorers at the 2024 U.S. Open and ranking inside the top 60 in the Official World Golf Ranking as of May 19. Known for his power and scientific approach to the game, he remains a major threat in any U.S. Open setup. Tyrrell Hatton Hatton qualified by being inside the top 60 in the OWGR as of May 19. The fiery Englishman has been a consistent presence in majors and brings both experience and intensity to the field. Dustin Johnson Johnson earned his exemption through past major victories, including the 2016 U.S. Open and the 2020 Masters. The two-time major champion is always a contender when the stakes are high. Brooks Koepka Koepka qualified as a past winner of the U.S. Open (2017, 2018) and the PGA Championship (2023). With five majors to his name, he's one of the most accomplished players in the field. Jinichiro Kozuma Kozuma claimed one of three spots at the Final Qualifier held at Tarao Country Club in Japan on May 19, earning his place by winning a four-man playoff for third. He'll be making a rare U.S. Open appearance. Marc Leishman Leishman earned one of four available spots at the Final Qualifier at Woodmont Country Club in Rockville, Maryland, on June 2. He advanced by surviving a three-man playoff for the final two places. Phil Mickelson Mickelson qualified by virtue of his 2021 PGA Championship win. A six-time U.S. Open runner-up, this event remains the one major missing from his résumé. Joaquin Niemann Niemann earned entry as one of the top three players in the 2025 LIV Golf Individual Standings not otherwise exempt as of May 19. The Chilean star is still seeking his first major breakthrough. Carlos Ortiz Ortiz finished tied for fourth with rounds of 66-68 at the Dallas Final Qualifier to earn one of seven U.S. Open spots. He's playing some of his best golf heading into Oakmont. Jon Rahm Rahm is in the field as the 2021 U.S. Open champion and 2023 Masters winner. One of the most consistent major performers in recent years, Rahm is always a threat. Patrick Reed Reed qualified through his position inside the top 60 of the OWGR as of May 19. The 2018 Masters champion is known for his short game and competitive fire. Cameron Smith Smith earned his exemption as the 2022 Open Championship winner. ‘Do not get out to Arshdeep Singh': Phil Salt's soliloquy cuts through nightmare in RCB's crushing win over PBKS
There are always battles within a battle when the match is as big as the IPL Qualifier 1, with teams fighting for a direct entry into the IPL finals, and Phil Salt vs Arshdeep Singh was one of them. Before Thursday's Qualifier 1 between Punjab Kings and Royal Challengers Bengaluru, it was a one-sided battle heavily in favour of Arshdeep Singh. It would be an understatement to say Arshdeep had Salt's number. The England opener has had a nightmarish time against Arshdeep. Be it IPL or for England. Whether it's T20S or ODIs, Salt's struggles against Arshdeep have been a constant. The left-hander pacer has dismissed the England opener four times in 9 T20s. In this year's IPL, Arshdeep sent Salt packing in both the league games The RCB opener was determined to turn the tables in the Qualifier and so he did. He ended up smashing six fours and three sixes, including a crisp pull off pacer Arshdeep Singh. Salt's unbeaten 56 off 27 balls helped RCB chase down PBKS' modest 102-run target in just 10 overs to march into their first final since 2016. After the match, Salt said he was trying his best not to get out to Arshdeep Singh. "Great feeling right now, it (the ball) did move a bit. I think that was not the worst wicket to have played on this season. Do not get out to Arshdeep (his mindset during the innings), we played 2 group games (with PBKS) and he has found different ways to get me out, so I was just trying to react to the ball," he said in the post-match presentation. "Gives us the momentum, it is a cliche but true, that's what you want at the backend of the tournament, want to hit your straps and play a part with the bat or ball," he added. In the ongoing season, Salt has scored 387 runs in 12 innings at an average of 35.18 and a strike rate of 175.90, with four fifties and the best score of 65. He is RCB's second-highest run-getter. All four of his half-centuries have come while chasing within six innings. Salt also completed 1,000 IPL runs, becoming the joint-second-fastest to reach the milestone in 575 balls, equalling that of Travis Head (Sunrisers Hyderabad). His ex-Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) teammate Andre Russell is the fastest to reach the milestone with 545 balls. In 33 IPL matches and innings, Salt scored 1,040 runs at an average of 34.66, with a strike rate of 175.67. He has scored 10 fifties, with the best score of 89*. After RCB opted to bowl first, PBKS was reduced to 48/4 in the powerplay itself, with Bhuvneshwar, Hazlewood and Yash firing all cylinders. Marcus Stoinis (26 in 17 balls, with two fours and two sixes) and Azmatullah Omarzai (18 in 12 balls, with a four and a six) pushed PBKS to 101 in 14.1 overs. Suyash Sharma (3/17) and Josh Hazlewood (3/21) were the leading bowlers for RCB, with Yash Dayal getting 2/26 in four overs. Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Romario Shepherd got a wicket each. In the run-chase, RCB lost Virat Kohli (12) and Mayank Agarwal (19), but Phil Salt (56* in 27 balls, with six fours and three sixes) and skipper Rajat Patidar (15*) took RCB to the win in 10 overs with eight wickets left.

Dubai, May 27 (UNI) Left-arm orthodox spinner Sadia Iqbal dethroned England's Sophie Ecclestone to take the top spot in the new ICC Women's Player Rankings. The Pakistan tweaker, who was one of the leading performers at last year's ICC Women's T20 World Cup, rose one position to reign supreme. Basking in the moment, the 29-year-old expressed delight and thanked those who have played a part in her journey. 'I've become the number one ranked T20I bowler, I'd like to thank everyone who is celebrating this achievement, I've received a lot of calls and messages,' Iqbal said in a Pakistan Cricket Board video. 'I'm glad that everyone is happy for me and appreciative of my achievement,' she said. The left-arm spinner lauded former Pakistan skipper Sana Mir for helping her through with her bowling, an ICC report said. 'She (Sana Mir) obviously had a lot of experience in women's cricket. The way she's served Pakistan cricket, she has been number one bowler during her days," Iqbal said. 'I used to keep talking to her while we were on tour regarding bowling different variations," she said. 'Even when we were at the World Cup, I had a really good conversation about bowling with her. She helped me a lot," Iqbal said.
