1 person treated for life-threatening injuries in serious east Charlotte crash: Medic
(QUEEN CITY NEWS) — A serious crash has emergency crews responding in full force Thursday afternoon near the intersection of Monroe Road and Glendora Drive in east Charlotte. So far, one person has been rushed to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. 🚗 Track issues along your commute with the QCN Traffic Interactive Map Medic reports that multiple ambulances, fire crews, and police responded to the scene near the Roadway Inn. Tractor-trailer crash partially closes I-85 North in west Charlotte; 1 person injured
CHARLOTTE (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — A tractor-trailer crash is causing major traffic delays on I-85 North near Tuckaseegee Road Thursday morning, after the vehicle veered into the median, possibly striking support beams beneath an overpass. The accident happened around 8:54 a.m. near Mile Marker 35. According to initial reports from Medic, one person sustained non-life-threatening injuries. 🚗 Track issues along your commute with the QCN Traffic Interactive Map An NCDOT traffic camera showed the truck off the road in the median, close to the bridge supports. Officials have not yet confirmed whether the structure sustained any damage. As a result of the crash, one of the four northbound lanes has been shut down near Exit 34, Tuckaseegee Road, and traffic congestion in the area is significant. Indian Trail roads affected by damage to underground utility lines
INDIAN TRAIL, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — One road is closed and another is down to one lane in the Hemby Bridge community due to damage to an underground utility line Monday afternoon. According to the Union County Sheriff's Office, Idlewild Road near the intersection with Mill Grove Road was reduced to a single travel lane, beginning around 1:30 p.m. Further, Mill Grove between Idlewild and Beacon Hills Road is closed while crews work to resolve the issue. 🚗 Track issues along your commute with the QCN Traffic Interactive Map Authorities say due to the complexity of the situation, these roadways are not expected to return to normal traffic patterns until at least 8 p.m. Drivers are encouraged to avoid this area and use alternate routes if possible.
