Rural Police Crack Murder Case in 10 Days Using CCTV, Call Records
Nagpur: In a remarkable breakthrough, the Parseoni police and local crime branch solved a within 10 days, utilising CCTV footage and call details to apprehend the suspect. The murder, it came to light, had been committed over Rs200, which had been taken from the victim for purchasing petrol after the assailant's vehicle ran dry. Tired of too many ads? go ad free now On June 8, between 9pm and 9.15pm, Hiralal Pure, a 58-year-old retiree from Khandala (Dumri), was fatally stabbed near the Bhandara Canal close to Ashirwad Rice Mill. The assailant, later identified as Suraj Tekam, attacked Pure with a sharp weapon, targeting his neck and stomach, before fleeing with money from the victim's pocket. Under the guidance of superintendent of police Harssh Poddar, initial inquiries focused on Pure's companions, who visited a Shankarpat at Khamari, Umred, where a dispute had occurred. CCTV footage from the area revealed a suspicious individual near the crime scene, standing near a broken stall due to a bike running out of petrol. Witnesses confirmed the suspect's identity, leading police to trace a phone number linked to Tekam, a 24-year-old labourer from Balaghat. On Wednesday, acting on a tip-off, Parseoni police laid a trap at Chicholi and detained Tekam. During interrogation, he confessed to killing Pure after a dispute over Rs200 for petrol. He admitted to stealing money from the victim before fleeing. Tekam was arrested and remanded to custody until June 25.

Lucid Air Just Got a Little Better
One of the most clamored-for functions on the Lucid Air has finally arrived: Android Auto connectivity. The automaker announced on June 16, 2025, that a simple over-the-air update to Lucid OS 2.7.0 will bring the "Android Auto Smart Driving Companion Application" to all Lucid Air vehicles. If you own a phone with Android 11 or higher, you can benefit from Wireless Android Auto, whereas those with a phone on Android 9 or 10 must use a compatible USB cable. Without Android Auto, owners would have to link their Spotify account directly to the car or rely on plain ol' Bluetooth for their tunes. The latter would still be required for phone calls, though. That wouldn't have been a massive issue, at least for me, if the Spotify connection wasn't spotty on my review car and/or if Bluetooth audio was compatible with album cover art. Much like my press car, however, those issues are now gone, and we can bathe in the glory of Android Auto. "Android Auto is one of the most requested features by Lucid owners, and we are delighted to announce that we have begun rolling out a software update to add this capability," said Dr. Jean-Philippe Gauthier, Head of Software Engineering for Lucid. "Android Auto with Lucid Air's expansive 34-inch Glass Cockpit builds upon our commitment to compromising nothing by enhancing comfort and convenience for owners." The Lucid Air EV sedan comes in four flavors, ranging from the $69,900 base level Pure to the utterly ludicrous $249,000 Sapphire. The Pure gets by with plenty of power, up to 430 hp and a 0-60 mph figure of 4.5 seconds. It even has an estimated range of 420 miles and a 17-minute charge time to 200 miles. The Sapphire, on the other hand, gets 1,234 hp and a 0-60 mph time of 1.89 seconds. The range for that model comes in at 427 miles with a 15-minute charge time to 200 miles. One step down from that is the $110,900 Grand Touring, which is more likely the one most people would get. That one has 819 hp, a 0-60 mph time of 3 seconds, 512 miles of range, and a 12-minute charge time to 200 miles. The Lucid Air was already a tremendous vehicle for the money, but adding Android Auto is the cherry on top of the sundae. According to the same Lucid press release, Android Auto connectivity for the automaker's new Gravity SUV is also on the way. That gives us even more reasons to celebrate. Berkshire Select Income ETF (OMAH) Passes the $250 Million AUM Mark
NEW YORK & SAN FRANCISCO & BOSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- VistaShares, an innovative asset manager seeking to disrupt the status quo in thematic exposures, income investing, and more, is today celebrating the news that its VistaShares Target 15™ Berkshire Select Income ETF (OMAH) has passed $250 million in assets under management. 'We built OMAH to be a core equity holding with the added benefit of monthly income potential,' Adam Patti, CEO of VistaShares. Share OMAH began trading on March 5 th of this year, meaning the fund passed this significant milestone in just its first four months of trading. OMAH has brought an entirely new approach to the fast-growing category of equity- and options-powered strategies as it provides investors with exposure to an equity portfolio designed to reflect a select group of the publicly disclosed investments of Berkshire Hathaway while an actively managed options overlay aims to achieve an annual income target of 15%, distributed 1.25% monthly. The fund has achieved that monthly distribution each of the last three months since inception. 'We built OMAH to be a core equity holding with the added benefit of monthly income potential,' said Adam Patti, CEO of VistaShares. "We've been thrilled with the investor response to the fund and look forward to continuing to educate the marketplace on how an approach like this can fit into both core equity and income portfolios.' Investing involves risk, including possible loss of principal. Index / Strategy Risks. The Index's holdings are derived from publicly available data, which may be delayed relative to the then current portfolio of Berkshire Hathaway. Consequently, the Fund's holdings, which are based on the Index, may not accurately reflect Berkshire Hathaway's most recent publicly-disclosed investment positions and may deviate substantially from its actual current Portfolio. The equity securities represented in the Index are subject to a range of risks, including, but not limited to, fluctuations in Market conditions, increased competition, and evolving regulatory environments, all of which could adversely affect their performance. Focused Portfolio Risk. The Fund will hold a relatively focused portfolio that may contain exposure to the securities of fewer issuers than the portfolios of other ETFs. Holding a relatively concentrated portfolio may increase the risk that the value of the Fund could go down because of the poor performance of one or a few investments. Distribution Risk. Although the Fund has an annual income target, the Fund intends to distribute income on a monthly basis. There is no assurance that the Fund will make a distribution in any given month. Derivatives Risk. Derivatives are financial instruments that derive value from the underlying reference asset or assets, such as stocks, bonds, or funds (including ETFs), interest rates or indexes. Options Contracts Risk. The use of options contracts involves investment strategies and risks different from those associated with ordinary portfolio securities transactions. The prices of options are volatile and are influenced by, among other things, actual and anticipated changes in the value of the underlying instrument, including the anticipated volatility, which are affected by fiscal and monetary policies and by national and international political, changes in the actual or implied volatility or the reference asset, the time remaining until the expiration of the option contract and economic events. Equity Market Risk. Common stocks are generally exposed to greater risk than other types of securities, such as preferred stock and debt obligations, because common stockholders generally have inferior rights to receive payment from specific issuers. The equity securities held in the Fund's portfolio may experience sudden, unpredictable drops in value or long periods of decline in value. U.S. Government and U.S. Agency Obligations Risk. The Fund may invest in securities issued by the U.S. government or its agencies or instrumentalities. U.S. Government obligations include securities issued or guaranteed as to principal and interest by the U.S. Government, its agencies or instrumentalities, such as the U.S. Treasury. New Fund Risk. The Fund is a recently organized management investment company with no operating history. As a result, prospective Investors do not have a track record or history on which to base their investment decisions. Newer Sub-Adviser Risk. VistaShares is a recently formed entity and has limited experience with managing an exchange-traded fund, which may limit the Sub-Adviser's effectiveness. Foreside Fund Services, LLC, distributor.

Over half of Brits feel lonely at least once a month… but are ashamed to admit it, study shows
Gen Z feels lonelier than any generation—yet hides it behind screens and silence daily NOT ALONE Over half of Brits feel lonely at least once a month… but are ashamed to admit it, study shows Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) OVER half of Brits feel lonely at least once a month – but are ashamed to admit it. A poll of 2,000 adults revealed 56 per cent would rarely or never consider talking to someone else about how isolated they felt. Sign up for Scottish Sun newsletter Sign up 2 The research was commissioned by audio brand, Pure Credit: SWNS Reasons for this included not wanting to burden others (37 per cent), not believing anyone else will understand (21 per cent), and not wanting to appear vulnerable (21 per cent). This may be a reflection on the strength of their support networks, as a quarter (24 per cent) described theirs as lacking – and a further 13 per cent didn't have one at all. Instead, those who feel lonely are likely to distract themselves through entertainment, such as watching TV (47 per cent), going on social media (22 per cent), or listening to the radio (19 per cent). The research was commissioned by audio brand, Pure, which is partnering with Marmalade Trust, a Bristol-based charity dedicated to raising awareness of loneliness and helping people build meaningful connections. As part of this partnership and in support of Loneliness Awareness Week, Pure will be donating 150 radios to individuals across the UK who are looking for support through a period of loneliness. Dr Lalitaa [COR], behaviouralist psychologist and expert in emotional wellbeing, commented: 'Loneliness remains a taboo subject, often shrouded in shame and stigma. 'But human connection is a basic psychological need – one that's increasingly difficult to fulfil in today's fast-paced, digital world. 'It's encouraging to see initiatives like this that provide simple, tangible comfort and help people feel part of something again.' Tara Fisher, COO from Marmalade Trust added: "Loneliness is a natural human emotion that we are all likely to experience in our lifetime. 'But there is still a stigma around loneliness, which means a significant portion of the population are reluctant to speak about these feelings to others – either because they don't feel they have anyone to talk to or are worried about doing so.' Despite these feelings of shame around loneliness, nearly eight in 10 (79 per cent) acknowledged it as a common phenomenon among the general population. Women were also found to feel lonelier than men – with only 16 per cent of women saying they never feel lonely, compared to 26 per cent of men. But perceptions about the generations most affected were not entirely accurate – with 19 per cent of all respondents believing the Silent Generation (born 1928-1945) is impacted the most by loneliness. However, Gen Zs (born 1996-2011) specifically reported feeling lonelier than any other age group, with one third feeling this way a few times a week and 11 per cent even experiencing this every single day. This compares to 19 per cent of the whole population dealing with this a few times a week and only six per cent every day. Worries about being judged (25 per cent) and dismissed (21 per cent) were also higher among Gen Zs – as were desires to socialise more (53 per cent) and make more friends (42 per cent). This compares to the 'famously lonely' Silent Generation – four in 10 of whom reported usually only going an hour maximum without speaking to someone else. A fifth of all those asked agreed on one day as the limit for not speaking to another person before feeling lonely – yet 23 per cent go this long, or longer, without talking to anyone regularly. Regionally, Londoners were most likely to report feeling lonely – with 33 per cent of those living in the capital saying they feel lonely at least a few times a week. Nearly four in 10 (39 per cent) of all respondents also claimed to feel lonelier now than they did five years ago, primarily because it's now harder to meet people. Other reasons included changes in personal relationships (23 per cent), financial stress (22 per cent), and lower self-esteem (20 per cent). The top locations people reported feeling lonely were also established as at home alone (59 per cent), in a crowd (27 per cent), and when having a meal by themselves (26 per cent). Perhaps to stave off this lonely feeling, over half (52 per cent) are more likely to listen to the radio when at home alone, according to data. Other than listening to the news and their favourite music, 38 per cent utilise their broadcast boxes for background noise (38 per cent), company (20 per cent), and making the house feel less quiet (19 per cent). A further 16 per cent specified listening to the radio helps them to feel less lonely, with 15 per cent liking to hear the sound of other people's voices, and 13 per cent enjoying being part of the conversation. Stations providing the best company were also identified as pop music (30 per cent), oldies music (24 per cent), and talk radio stations (21 per cent). Hubert Eiter, spokesperson for Pure, which is donating £5 for every Pure radio sold between June 9 – July 9, 2025 in support of Marmalade Trust, said: 'Pure has been active in supporting loneliness charities over many years and we are proud to partner with the Marmalade Trust this year. 'It's great to see that everyday listening can bring a lot of comfort to people, as it has the power to immediately make a room feel livelier and less quiet – we love the fact that radio is able to provide some company for those who feel lonely from time to time.'
