Jamie Foxx finally sets the record straight on whether Sean ‘Diddy' Combs tried to kill him
Jamie Foxx set the record straight on the running conspiracy theory that Sean 'Diddy' Combs was behind his 2023 medical emergency. '… I snuck in my phone because I didn't know what the outside world was saying and I couldn't get my mind around the fact that I had a stroke. I'm in f–kng perfect shape,' Foxx recalled of his time in the hospital during a Hollywood Reporter roundtable published Thursday. '[I see things like,] 'Puffy tried to kill me.' No, Puffy didn't try to kill me,' the actor stated. However, the Oscar winner seemed to be more upset about another rumor claiming he was cloned. 'When they said I was a clone, that made me flip. I'm sitting in the hospital bed, like, 'These bitch-ass motherf–kers are trying to clone me,'' he joked. The 'Django Unchained' star, 57, previously touched on the conspiracy theory about Combs following the disgraced music mogul's September 2024 arrest. Foxx poked fun at the Bad Boy Records founder — who is currently on trial for sex trafficking and racketeering — as well as his own life-threatening health scare in his Netflix stand-up special, 'What Had Happened Was,' which premiered that December. 'The internet said Puffy was trying to kill me, that's what the internet was saying,' Foxx told the audience. 'I know what you thinking, 'Diddy?' 'Hell no, I left them parties early,' he continued, referencing Combs' infamous bashes. Foxx quipped that he was always 'out by 9' since 'something [didn't] look right' at the rapper's soirées, which allegedly led to wild sex performances dubbed 'Freak-Offs.' In his comedy special, Foxx revealed his medical emergency was due to a brain bleed that led to a stroke. The actor had originally attributed his hospitalization to a 'bad headache.' The comedian said doctors told his sister Deidra Dixon, 'If I don't go in his head right now, we're going to lose him.'' After his surgery, Dixon was told, 'We didn't find where it was coming from, but he is having a stroke. He may be able to make a full recovery but it's going to be the worst year of his life.'

The 57-year-old Hollywood actor fell ill in Atlanta, Georgia in 2023 while he was in town filming his Netflix movie 'Back in Action' and it was later revealed he'd suffered a stroke which left him in a coma for almost three weeks, but at the time his family kept details of his health battle secret - putting his illness down to a 'medical complication' - and it led to fervent online speculation about what hap - pened to him. Jamie has now revealed he read some of the rumours while he was in hospital and one story in particular freaked him out. Speaking at The Hollywood Reporter's StandUp Comedy Roundtable event, Jamie explained: 'I was doing so many jokes in the hospital. That's the only way I could get through it. 'I'm a comic, so even when I was heavily sedated, and they gave me OxyContin, Dilantin and morphine at the same time … it was: 'This is for your pain, and this is so you don't remember it' ... 'I snuck in my phone because I didn't know what the outside world was saying and I couldn't get my mind around the fact that I had a stroke. I'm in perfect shape ... '[I saw rumours like] 'Puffy tried to kill me'. No, Puffy didn't try to kill me.' Jamie went on to add he saw another rumour suggesting he was 'a clone' and 'that made me flip.'

Suge Knight Says Diddy Should Testify In His Own Trial To 'Humanize' Himself
A lengthy list of witnesses have testified so far during Sean 'Diddy' Combs', but the defendant noticeably chose to not take the stand at all. Suge Knight has continued to weigh in on how court proceedings are playing out, and he recently doubled down on his surprising take about the case and even suggested Diddy should testify. Earlier this week, the Death Row Records executive shared he felt there's a chance his longtime rival could beat his charges. 'I feel if he do tell his truth, he really would walk,' Knight elaborated Thursday (May 30) in a phone interview from the Richard J. Donovan Correctional Facility in San Diego. He then discussed a possible strategy the Bad Boy founder could use to help his road to a potential victory. 'If Puffy goes up there and says, 'Hey… I did all the drugs, I wasn't in control of my life at the time, or myself' – he can humanize his old self and the jury might give him a shot.' 'But if they keep him sitting down, it's like he's scared to face the music,' Knight added. 'He should just have his faith in God, put up his pants and go up there and tell his truth.' Suge is currently in prison for an unrelated crime, serving a 28-year-sentence for a deadly hit-and-run in 2015. In the aforementioned conversation from earlier this week, Knight surprised many people with his opinion because of his well-known decades-long beef with the NYC mogul. 'Puffy and I are not friends,' he explained to Cuomo. 'But Puffy should definitely walk free.' According to him, Diddy's not the only one who should be taking the blame for all of the alleged crimes. 'The most important thing is that it was other executives that were involved in Puffy's life. For Puffy to be the only guy that gets on the stand is a sad day for Hip-Hop,' he continued. Diddy is facing one count of racketeering conspiracy; two counts of sex trafficking by force, fraud or coercion; and two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution. He was arrested in NYC on Sept. 16, 2024, and held at MDC Brooklyn without bail. His trial is expected to last all of June and into July. One of Combs' former personal assistants, Capricorn Clark, said Combs once brought her to Central Park at night and brought up her former employment with Death Row Records. 'He told me that he didn't know that I had anything to do with Suge Knight, and if anything happened, he would have to kill me,' Clark said. David James, another former assistant, recalled an instance when he and Combs' security guard ran into Knight at a diner. When Combs heard about it, he ordered James to drive them back to the diner, bringing three handguns with him – but Knight had left by the time they arrived, James testified. Suge Knight believes Diddy should be a free man at the conclusion of his sex trafficking and racketeering trial. While Knight and Diddy were at opposite ends of the contentious West Coast/East Coast rap beef in the '90s, the Death Row founder joined NewsNation's Cuomo on Tuesday (May 27), where he detailed why he thinks that Diddy shouldn't be found guilty. 'There were other executives involved in Puffy's life and for Puffy to be the only guy that gets on the stand is a sad day for hip-hop.' Host Chris Cuomo asked Knight about his relationship with Diddy's former assistant, Capricorn Clark, who testified against Combs and claimed Diddy kidnapped her. Knight alleged that Bad Boy's Reggie Wright Jr. forced Clark to have sex with multiple people. 'I don't think this is a case where Puffy should be going to prison … How could every person who's involved with Puffy not on the stand except for Puffy? At some point, the law gotta be blind,' Knight continued. 'We just can't jump to conclusions and say, 'throw Puffy under the bus.' Even if Diddy ends up receiving a lengthy prison sentence, Knight believes that President Donald Trump will end up giving the Bad Boy mogul a pardon. 'I don't think he has nothing to worry about, and I don't think he's worried because he's gonna be federal, and if he gets convicted, Trump's gonna pardon him,' he said to Cuomo. 'I feel that Puffy is going to be alright and have a fair shot at it. He's not a dummy. I'm quite sure somebody is going to talk to those jurors and convince one or two of them.'
