Morgan attempted to lure Mysterio away from his former on-screen girlfriend, Rhea Ripley. Advertisement Eventually, Morgan won him over, and Mysterio betrayed Ripley. She attacked Ripley after WrestleMania 40, resulting in an injury for Ripley. She was out of action for several months. During her reign, Morgan won the Women's World Championship from Becky Lynch. Morgan would hold the title for 226 days before losing it to Ripley. As champion, she had several successful title defenses against Ripley before she was able to overcome her foe. Morgan and Mysterio remain a couple despite the loss. Currently, Morgan is in her record-setting fourth Women's Tag Team Championship reign with Raquel Rodriguez. They lost the titles to Lynch and Lyra Valkyria at WrestleMania 41 before regaining them a night later on Monday Night RAW. Since joining WWE in 2014, Morgan has become one of the most popular stars in the company. She appears to be in a feud with the legendary Nikki Bella, with a match likely coming at Evolution 2 on July 13, 2025. Advertisement Throughout her career, Morgan has won the Women's World Championship twice. Her first reign came after defeating Ronda Rousey in 2022. She won the Women's Money in the Bank ladder match and later cashed in her contract on a wounded Rousey to win the title. Morgan's first reign would not last long. She eventually lost it to Rousey at Extreme Rules after 98 days with the belt. During her second reign, she became the first-ever Women's Crown Jewel Champion after defeating then-Women's Champion Nia Jax at Crown Jewel. WWE star Gunther trolls Goldberg with 8 words

The post WWE star Gunther trolls Goldberg with 8 words appeared first on ClutchPoints. It does not appear World Heavyweight Champion Gunther is afraid of WWE legend Goldberg, who he will face at the July 2025 edition of Saturday Night's Main Event in what could be the latter's retirement match. Advertisement The 'Ring General' took to Instagram to poke fun at the Hall of Famer, putting his own twist on his iconic 'You're Next' motto. He captioned his post, 'I'm next … guess I can spare 3 minutes.' In the photos, Goldberg is seen trying to intimidate Gunther while squaring off with the WWE World Heavyweight Champion. Gunther does not appear to be intimidated, as he is smiling in the bottom photo. When will Gunther and Goldberg have their WWE match? On July 12, 2025, WWE will air the third Saturday Night's Main Event of the year. So far, Gunther vs. Goldberg is the only match announced for the card so far. Advertisement Since WWE brought the program back in December 2024 after over 16 years, the match cards have included five or six bouts. So, there are still several matchups yet to be announced for the July Saturday Night's Main Event. The following night, WWE will air Evolution 2, the second iteration of the all-women PLE. It comes almost seven years after the first event. The July 12 weekend will be dominated by WWE. They will air NXT: The Great American Bash from the Center Stage venue in Atlanta, Georgia, earlier in the day before Saturday Night's Main Event takes place that evening at State Farm Arena. Then, Evolution 2 will take over State Farm Arena the following evening. Gunther is currently in his second title reign with the World Heavyweight Championship. He recently won it off Jey Uso — who previously beat the 'Ring General' for the title at WrestleMania 41 — on the June 9, 2025, edition of Monday Night RAW. Advertisement His first run with the belt lasted 259 days. He previously beat Damian Priest for the championship at SummerSlam after winning the 2024 King of the Ring tournament. Before that, Gunther had a record-setting reign with the Intercontinental Championship. He held it for 666 days going into WrestleMania 40, where he lost it to Sami Zayn. Pro wrestling star Shotzi Blackheart's sultry reason for AEW interest

Shotzi Blackheart will be featured in several independent pro wrestling shows over the next few months after she departed WWE following roughly six years with the company. She appeared on "The Ariel Helwani Show" on Tuesday and discussed the promotions she would be interested in joining as she attempts to find a full-time home. She mentioned that she loved All Elite Wrestling (AEW) and Total Nonstop Action wrestling and watches their programming. She explained why AEW would be her preference if she had a choice. "For so many reasons," she said. "I love their freedom. I have a lot of friends there who are doing really awesome things. I've heard many stories of how (AEW co-owner) Tony (Khan) treats talent. I do love that he really cares for his talent – that is super important to me. "And like, hot girls get to make out with each other, so, like, that's cool." For what it's worth on Shotzi's latter point, AEW stars Toni Storm and Mina Shirakawa shared a kiss after their match at Double or Nothing last month. Storm faces Mercedes Moné for the AEW Women's Championship at All In next month. Shotzi, whose real name is Ashley Urbanski, also made clear she loved working for WWE and was only unhappy when she wasn't being used. "I mean, I would love to be back at WWE," she said. "I loved working there. I didn't love not working there. It was only when I wasn't being used that I was unhappy, but anytime I was being used, good time – love the locker room, loved everyone I was working for. That's just it. I just don't want to go back and not work." Shotzi attempted to join WWE through the company's "Tough Enough" challenge in 2015. IT wasn't until 2019 that she joined the NXT brand and worked her way to the main roster. She was an NXT women's tag-team champion with Embar Moon, who wrestles as Athena in the AEW-affiliated Ring of Honor. She was also named the 2020 NXT Breakout Star of the Year. Night of booming action set to rumble into town

Road to the Rumble is coming to the Gore Town & Country Club next Saturday, with world-class talent ready to show some high flying entertainment later in the month. PHOTO: SUPPLIED BY JOSH CURRAN There is a rumble coming to Gore — high-flying action, bone-breaking intensity and entertainment for everyone as Pro Wrestling comes to town. Southern Pro Wrestling New Zealand is based in Invercargill and has been a fan-favourite organisation since its inception 10 years ago. To celebrate a decade of wrestling action, the ring is on the move, and will be heading to Gore for the first time. Gore Town & Country Club will host the Road to the Rumble next Saturday. Southern Pro Wrestling committee member and wrestler Josh Curran wrestles as the faux cult leader JK Moody as a heel — a designated villain for audiences to root against. His crew were excited to bring the show to Gore, knowing how cool a travelling show could be. "Out in the country, where I grew up, it was rugby or nothing on a Saturday, so offering a different type of entertainment to other people in towns which generally wouldn't have it is great. "Our brand is Southern Pro Wrestling too, so if we can encapsulate the entire South, I think it's good as we're very proud to be Southland based." Wrestling fans could expect a well-polished product. Mr Curran said they knew what fans want to see. "We don't play around with what this is — it's entertainment. "Expect lights, music, big characters, a lot of acrobatic moves, showmanship and pageantry. "It's a family friendly thing, so we try [to] cater as much to the 10-year-old kid in the front row who wants to be a wrestler as the dad who took them there." The art of the heel came naturally to Mr Curran, who said his persona JK Moody and his group of troublesome wrestlers came as a focal point for audiences to cheer against, which he did not mind. "A controlling, manipulative goon would be the best way I could sum [JK Moody] up. "I got told many times when I played rugby I had a punchable face. "I just leant into that when I became a wrestler. "The crowd likes seeing me get a hiding so it's good to lean into that cathartic release, I suppose," he laughed. Mr Curran, who trained in England and has travelled around various promotions, said Southern Pro Wrestling was nothing to sneeze at — a big show was on the way. "We're lucky enough to be one of the biggest promotions in New Zealand, and some of our talent are legitimately world class."
