Michael Irvin Pulling For Deion Sanders After Home Visit

Michael Irvin Pulling For Deion Sanders After Home Visit originally appeared on Athlon Sports. Deion Sanders has said he'll be returning to Boulder ahead of the Colorado Buffaloes 2025 season. However, there is no timeline on when as he continues to deal with an unknown health issue at his estate in Texas. Advertisement Sanders got a visit from his Pro Football Hall of Fame teammate Michael Irvin last week. The Dallas Cowboys legend spoke briefly on Coach Prime's health during an episode of his podcast after seeing him. "Whenever I'm with him, we laugh like I don't know what," Irvin said. "This is my boy. I battled with this dude. I know how strong this dude is. I know how he is. He's physically strong, mentally strong, emotionally strong. He's strong. And we've had battles, and I respect him as a giant." Sanders has dealt with notable health issues over the past five years. He hasn't been at full strength, but Irvin left feeling confident Sanders will be back on track soon. "I've never seen Deion not want to battle," Irvin said. "I guarantee you he's going to be ok. That's the most important part." Irvin didn't explain what's going on with Sanders and will allow him to tell the world when's ready. Not much is known about what Coach Prime might be dealing with and it's unclear whether this latest round is related to the series of previous health issues, including blood clots in his lower extremities. Advertisement Sanders admitted to former NFL defensive back Asante Samuel that his latest illness caused him to lose 14 pounds. 'What I'm dealing with right now is a whole other level," Sanders said. Steelers legends Alan Faneca, Troy Polamalu included in ESPN's NFL All-Quarter Century Team

Pittsburgh Steelers legends Troy Polamalu and Alan Faneca were both included in ESPN's recent NFL All-Quarter Century Team. ESPN compiled a 53-man roster with a full lineup, made up of the best NFL players since 2000 and Polamalu and Faneca, both Pro Football Hall of Famers, made the cut. The list consists of 25 offensive players, 25 defensive players, and five special teams player. Alan Faneca, who spent the first 10 years of his 13 years in the NFL with the Pittsburgh Steelers, was one of the two left guards named, along with Steve Hutchinson. Faneca was an eight-time All-Pro selection before being named to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2021. Lloyd Fox/Baltimore Sun/Tribune News Service via Getty Images "Polamalu flying all over the field epitomized what NFL teams began prioritizing with modern safeties," the ranking said. His 80 run stops ranked third among all defensive backs since 2000. Polamalu was selected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2020. Patrick Peterson, who played 13 NFL seasons and ended his career in Pittsburgh in 2023 was included in the cornerbacks section of the team alongside Aliquippa native Darrelle Revis, Champ Bailey, Ronde Barber, and Richard Sherman. Antonio Brown, Cameron Heyward, T.J. Watt, and Cordarrelle Patterson were listed as "practice squad" players who fell just short of making the list for their position groups.

49ers 2nd-Round Rookie DT Compared to Hall of Famer

49ers 2nd-Round Rookie DT Compared to Hall of Famer originally appeared on Athlon Sports. Perhaps the greatest compliment a San Francisco 49ers defensive tackle can draw is a comparison to Hall of Famer Bryant Young. Advertisement Young is a Super Bowl champion, four-time Pro Bowler and four-time All-Pro for the 49ers who was selected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2022. He is the epitome of consistency at the position with 627 tackles, 89.5 sacks, 12 forced fumbles and seven fumble recoveries across 208 career games. At least one analyst sees a little of Young in San Francisco's second-round pick this year, Alfred Collins. "Given the dominance of San Francisco's defensive line over the past quarter-century, it might surprise you to learn that the 49ers haven't produced a defensive tackle with more than one Pro Bowl to their credit since Young was honored after the 2001 and 2002 campaigns," writes Fox Sports' Rob Rang. Advertisement "Young was big and powerful, but also surprisingly agile and a very instinctive defender. Collins is still figuring things out, but his physical traits are like something generated on AI. If the 49ers hit on him, they truly will have struck gold." Collins is 6-6 and 332 pounds and will give the 49ers some much-needed size in the middle of the defensive line. His college team in Austin, Texas, allowed just 2.9 yards per carry the past two seasons with Collins filling up the middle of the Longhorns' defensive line. There's a good chance Collins can start as a rookie, too, although there will be some competition. NFL Legend Adrian Peterson Poker Game Fight Video Going Viral

NFL Legend Adrian Peterson Poker Game Fight Video Going Viral originally appeared on Athlon Sports. Adrian Peterson is among the most accomplished players of his era. But post-NFL career? "AD'' just can't seem to stay out of the news. Advertisement TMZ Sports is revealing footage of a fistfight involving the legendary Peterson and a card player after a dispute over a hand during a poker game. Peterson, 40, was involved in this altercation on May 27 at the JokerStars club in Houston ... and the video is of course going viral. Peterson forged a 15-year NFL career from 2007 to 2021. He starred for the Minnesota Vikings before bouncing around and playing for the New Orleans Saints, Arizona Cardinals, Washington Redskins (now Commanders), Detroit Lions, Tennessee Titans and Seattle Seahawks. In 184 career regular-season games, Peterson rushed for 14,918 yards and 120 touchdowns. He ranks fifth in NFL history in rushing yards and fourth in rushing touchdowns. Advertisement Peterson was also a seven-time Pro Bowler, a four-time First Team All-Pro and the 2012 NFL MVP when he rushed for 2,097 yards, all together making him a leading candidate for eventual induction into the Pro Football Hall of Fame. After the fight, Peterson apparently spoke to TMZ, noting that he and the man he fought are friends who made up with each other after the fight. "Me and the guy, we're cool,'' Peterson said. "We've known each other. It was literally like a brother situation. We agreed to disagree, we had our words, and we threw blows—and that was it." Peterson suggested that alcohol was involved and that he "felt really bad" after the skirmish occurred and "kind of regrets" that it happened. Advertisement Police reportedly were not called to the scene following the fight, and Peterson tells TMZ that neither he nor the man he fought were punished by JokerStars. Peterson has experienced law enforcement issues over the discipline of his children, his finances and most recently was arrested during NFL draft weekend in Minnesota on a DWI charge. Terry Bradshaw Furious With TSA Treatment At The Airport

Terry Bradshaw Furious With TSA Treatment At The Airport originally appeared on The Spun. Not even a Pro Football Hall of Famer is immune to the probing of the TSA. FOX Sports' Terry Bradshaw learned that the hard way. Advertisement Prior to a flight out of the Springfield-Branson National Airport in Missouri, was recorded being screened by the TSA and taken to a private room for a pat down twice. At one point during the video, Bradshaw turned to the camera and joked, 'They're gonna go through my luggage now, I'm the Unabomber.' The person behind the camera jokingly replied, 'Terry Bradshaw is definitely a terrorist.' After the ordeal - which Bradshaw appeared to be completely compliant for - he took to social media and complained about it. He joked that the Springfield airport must have a ton of criminals coming through it if he looks like one. 'I'm not against being safe but…This is ridiculous!!' Bradshaw wrote. 'TSA approved, had the body pat down, all the luggage checked, unpacked item by item. Now going into private room for ANOTHER pat down. Come on Springfield how many criminals come through here???? I guess I look like one today!!!' While Bradshaw may have found the whole ordeal frustrating, fans on social media found it pretty funny: Advertisement "Detected too many Super Bowl rings lol," one user joked. "Maybe the agent was a Cowboys fan?" another mused. "Invest in TSA pre check, Terry. It's worth it and you can afford it," a third said. "TSA is doing too much with Terry Bradshaw today. Maybe they are Cowboys fans." "TB should fly private." (Photo by)This isn't the first time that Bradshaw has been involved in airport drama. Back in April he was credited with helping an airplane open up a jammed door when it landed at Pittsburgh International Airport. But Bradshaw later refuted that story. "Just to set the record straight… I did nothing to open the door on the plane! The maintenance crew had it open in 15 minutes,' Bradshaw on social media after that story broke. Advertisement "The pilot announced and you could kind of hear he was chuckling as he said it, but he said 'thanks to the strength of one of our passengers, we were finally able to get the door open' and I think we all knew he was alluding to Mr. Bradshaw,' traveler Selah Gamble explained after the incident.
