The Rangers play the Pirates, and I haven't been this excited since the original cast of 'Hamilton' reunited at this year's Tonys. No, I'm not crying. I have something in my eye. Rough month of May for Pittsburgh's Mike Burrows, coughing up eight runs over 8 ¹/₃ innings. Improved in June to the tune of three runs and 20 Ks over 15 innings. Jacob deGrom is no longer dominant, but he's been more than good enough, allowing three runs over 19 innings and is 2-0 after five road starts. Mike Burrows throws a pitch for the Pirates. But the Guardians let Frisco hang around, and Wilmer Flores' (remember him?) two-run double put the Gigantes ahead to stay. Learn all you need to know about MLB Betting Final 2-1. Winner. Federal judge will order Mahmoud Khalil released from immigration detention

A federal judge says he'll order Palestinian activist Mahmoud Khalil released from immigration detention. Judge Michael Farbiarz made the ruling from the bench in federal court in New Jersey on Friday. Lawyers for the Columbia graduate had asked a federal judge to immediately release him on bail from a Louisiana jail, or else transfer him to New Jersey, where he can be closer to his wife and newborn son. Every morning, the NY POSTcast offers a deep dive into the headlines with the Post's signature mix of politics, business, pop culture, true crime and everything in between. Subscribe here! Advertisement Khalil was the first arrest under President Donald Trump's crackdown on students who joined campus protests against Israel's devastating war in Gaza. U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio has said Khalil must be expelled from the country because his continued presence could harm American foreign policy. The same judge had ruled earlier that the government can continue to detain the legal U.S. resident based on allegations that he lied on his green card application. Khalil disputes the accusations that he wasn't forthcoming on the application. The judge previously determined that Khalil couldn't continue being held based on the U.S. secretary of state's determination that he could harm American foreign policy. Khalil, a legal U.S. resident, was detained on March 8 at his apartment building in Manhattan over his participation in pro-Palestinian demonstrations. His lawyers say the Trump administration is simply trying to crack down on free speech. Advertisement Khalil isn't accused of breaking any laws during the protests at Columbia. The international affairs graduate student served as a negotiator and spokesperson for student activists. He wasn't among the demonstrators arrested, but his prominence in news coverage and willingness to speak publicly made him a target of critics. The Trump administration has argued that noncitizens who participate in such demonstrations should be expelled from the country as it considers their views antisemitic. This is a developing story. Hong Kong singer Tommy Yuen arrested for allegedly stealing snacks worth HK$140

Hong Kong singer Tommy Yuen Man-on has been arrested for allegedly stealing snacks from a supermarket, the Post has learned. Yuen, a former member of the defunct Cantopop boy band E-kids, was arrested on Wednesday after he was spotted acting suspiciously by patrolling officers in To Kwa Wan, police said. He allegedly stole items from a Wellcome supermarket and was carrying a credit card belonging to someone else, a police spokesman said. The suspect was arrested on suspicion of shoplifting. The case is being handled by the Kowloon City district investigation team. Yuen allegedly took 11 items, including bottled drinks, packets of candy, biscuits and coated peanuts, valued at about HK$140 (US$18). Officers also confirmed that the credit card in his possession belonged to a friend, who was contacted to retrieve it at the police station. Yuen, 45, previously served 26 months in jail for insulting police and officials and fabricating a fundraising story. In May last year, Yuen wrote a Facebook post saying that he had decided to leave Hong Kong after facing weekly contact with national security police following his early release from jail in September 2023. He said the frequent questioning caused him fear and distress, leading him to worry about being sent back to prison. In the May 1 Facebook post, Yuen said: 'I have finally left Hong Kong and started living in the United Kingdom!' The father of two also expressed determination to work hard in the UK and continue pursuing music, creating content, posting on social media and starting a YouTube channel. 'I believe that I won't or won't be able to go back to my beloved Hong Kong any more in my lifetime, as it continues to deteriorate day by day,' he had said. However, he was seen in the city in December. Yuen was arrested by national security police in February 2022, charged within 48 hours and kept in custody until his trial. In a court hearing in July 2023, he admitted to breaching a colonial-era sedition law by insulting police and officials on social media, as well as laundering more than HK$700,000 that he had raised by fabricating a story about a teenager facing a riot trial over her involvement in the anti-government protests of 2019. Two months later, he was sentenced to 26 months in jail. - SOUTH CHINA MORNING POST

The curtain has closed on another season of 'Hacks.' Dan Bucatinsky, who plays Rob, the executive producer of 'Late Night with Deborah Vance,' on the comedy/drama, is getting candid on wrapping Season 4 — and the best part of filming the Max series. 'It was the relationship that I was able to form with Jean Smart and Hannah Einbinder,' the actor, 59, exclusively told The Post at the 2025 Astra Awards. 'That friendship is one that I will cherish. Being able to get to know them off camera, then get to play with them on camera, was a dream.' 9 Dan Bucatinsky in 'Hacks.' Max 'So much of my job on that show was playing the guy whose job it was to wrangle these two forces,' Bucatinsky explained. 'I'm a dad of two, so I was playing dad a little bit on the show as well. But the gift really was being part of that community that felt very strong both behind the scenes and in front of the camera.' The show follows the friendship between Smart, 73, who stars as legendary Las Vegas comic Deborah Vance, and comedy writer Ava Daniels, who is played by Einbinder, 30. 'They move very, very fast, and there is so much material being shot, and they are shooting multiple episodes at the same time,' he explained to the Post. 9 Dan Bucatinsky as Rob in 'Hacks.' Max As for their downtime, the 'Scandal' alum and his costars 'would hang out in this little greenroom area' by their chairs. 'We would talk. We would keep each other warm,' he recalled. 'We would go get tea. We would go get snacks. We would ask each other advice about everything. Recommendations of movies and documentaries and doctors. And talk about our kids and our pets. And it was really an opportunity in between scenes to really get to know one another.' 'Hacks' has been renewed for Season 5, with Smart recently expressing why she thinks it's a good time to wrap up Deborah Vance's story. 9 Dan Bucatinsky shares behind the scenes photos of shooting Season 4 of 'Hacks.' danbucatinsky/Instagram 9 Dan Bucatinsky behind the scenes of 'Hacks.' danbucatinsky/Instagram 'I think we've pretty much decided that five seasons is [it], and I think that would feel right,' she told E! I'd love to work with him again. But Lisa Kudrow has been a friend and partner of mine for 20 years, so I always love working with her again,' Bucatinsky detailed. 'I think that he managed to make an unbelievable craft service that I had never seen before,' he said of Spielberg on set of the 2017 film that told the story of The Washington Post exposing the Pentagon Papers. 'It was like being in a restaurant every single night and every single day and at lunch! It was exciting. And you'd expect nothing less from Spielberg and Meryl Streep and Tom Hanks. It better be good.'
