Will Howard: Everything I can learn from Aaron Rodgers is invaluable

Before Aaron Rodgers signed with the Steelers, rookie quarterback Will Howard said he was looking forward to learning from the four-time MVP. Rodgers is now officially a member of the team and Howard got his first chance to work with his new teammate at the team's three-day minicamp. It's been everything the rookie was hoping it would be so far. Howard told Brian Batko of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette this week that Rodgers came to him on the first day of the minicamp to clarify some things about the offense, but most of the information has been flowing in the other direction. 'He's been so awesome to me so far,' Howard said. 'Obviously we've only gotten to be together for about three days, but I got a really good feeling about him and about this whole QB room. I think we already in this past week meshed really well, hit it off. I think we got a good vibe, good group. Aaron has been so willing to help me. He's like, 'Literally, as much or as little as you want me to help you, I'll be there.' He's already given me tips, little things here and there — in the meeting room, on the field, in my drops, different little things. Obviously I can't do the things that he can do mechanically, so I don't want to replicate that too much because that's pretty unique. But, for the most part, everything I can learn from that guy is invaluable. So I'm like as much as you want to pour into me.' The Steelers signed Rodgers to lead the offense this year and if some of what he passes down to Howard leads to future success, his impact on the organization will be felt for quite a while.

Jalen Ramsey to Steelers rumors shot down by insider Gerry Dulac

Jalen Ramsey to Steelers rumors shot down by insider Gerry Dulac The Jalen Ramsey trade speculation took the Steel City by storm — but one insider may argue there's little stock to these rumors. Insider Gerry Dulac of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette was asked during Thursday's Steelers Chat when Ramsey would be traded to Pittsburgh — and this was his response: "I'd take a rain check on that one if I were you." Dulac is one of the most well-respected Steelers insiders, having previously broken the news of Aaron Rodgers' first meeting in Pittsburgh — making his insight feel more like fact than fiction. The Ramsey-to-Pittsburgh rumors have been limited to a UCLA training photo and the supposed following of several Steelers players on Instagram — but as with all speculation, it should be taken with a grain of salt. If Ramsey is ultimately traded elsewhere, the Steelers still boast a strong cornerback duo with Joey Porter Jr. and the newly acquired veteran Darius Slay Jr. — but one could argue signing another slot CB to push Beanie Bishop Jr. is still the move to make. Steelers insider gives subtle update on T.J. Watt extension, fines

Steelers insider gives subtle update on T.J. Watt extension, fines The possibility of T.J. Watt potentially receiving fines had some fans confused — and Steelers insider Ray Fittipaldo broke down what's in store for the contract situation. During Tuesday's Steelers chat on the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, a fan sought clarification on whether the Steelers could actually waive Watt's over $100k in fines for missing mandatory minicamp — and this was Fittipaldo's confident response: "Yes they can and will in Watt's case once he does sign." The biggest takeaway is certainly the language in his answer — that the Steelers "will" waive Watt's fines — which makes sense, as it's a drop in the bucket compared to the likely $40 million per year he's seeking. Fittipaldo also explained in a separate answer that the contract negotiations were "fairly quiet" and could carry into "next month," but it remains to be seen if Watt will continue his holdout into July's training camp if a deal still hasn't been reached. Steelers' Aaron Rodgers, DK Metcalf planning new throwing session in California

Aaron Rodgers and DK Metcalf are building as much chemistry as they can before training camp in a few weeks. The UCLA throwing session and partnering up at Cam Heyward's Iron for Impact charity golf event appear to be just the start for the two — as Metcalf stated what's next for the duo. Advertisement At Steelers mandatory minicamp, Metcalf was asked if there were plans for any more throwing sessions — and this was his response (courtesy of Pittsburgh Post-Gazette): "Yes sir," Metcalf said. "We're both based out in California. So, yeah, planning on getting together with him — throwing sessions, just watching film or talking ball." The Steelers are banking on the Rodgers-to-Metcalf connection being the heart and soul of the Black and Gold passing attack — and it's a positive sign that the two have been spending so much time together as of late. More than 100 Girl Scouts rescued after sudden flash flood strands troop at Pennsylvania cabin

That's one way to earn your Adventure Camper badge! A Girl Scout troop, including more than 100 girls and volunteers, was rescued after unexpected flash flooding left them stranded at a cabin during a day camp retreat in Pennsylvania on Tuesday. 4 Flash flooding in Pennsylvania left a massive group of Girl Scouts stranded in their cabin. KDKA Advertisement More than two-and-a-half inches of rain fell between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. in Allegheny County, Pa., right as the swarm of girls were getting ready for lunch. Their highly anticipated day of fun in the sun quickly turned sour as the torrential downpour left them trapped after retreating to the Girl Scout Cabin in the park. The group became 'stranded due to an overflowing stream nearby,' Allegheny County police spokesman Jim Madalinsky told the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. 4 The rain caused a stream near the scouts' cabin to overflow. KDKA Advertisement Rescue crews quickly arrived at the park to save the scouts. The crews led the young girls to drier land using a rope to help them all trudge through the rushing water as it started to recede. 'They gave us all life jackets and helmets and told us to hold on to the person in front of us and we had a rope and just kind of held on and just walked across,' Girl Scout Lila Hall told CBS News. Advertisement 'We had to stay calm because the younger girls were freaking out too, so I sang some songs, I tried to cheer them up,' another scout, Emilia Krieger, added. 4 Rescue crews used a rope to help lead the scouts across the rushing water. KDKA 4 No injuries were reported, according to Allegheny police. KDKA All of the scouts and volunteers made it to safety and no injuries were reported, Allegheny County police said. Advertisement Once they waded through the flood, the girls' parents were waiting with open arms — and plenty of towels. The Girl Scouts host different levels for each age group, ranging from the youngest kindergartener Daisies to high school senior Ambassadors. The organization is best known for its annual cookie sale that pits troops against each other for top-ticket grand prizes like a trip to Walt Disney World. The 2025 top seller in NYC, a Bay Ridge scout who sold a staggering 2,528 cookies, bumped the reigning champ from Tribeca off the throne in a battle of the boroughs this year.
