DENVER (KDVR) — After some Tuesday morning storms, Denver has another round of severe weather early in the afternoon, with the storms pushing out into the Eastern Plains by the late afternoon. Tuesday is a Pinpoint Weather Alert Day for hail risks and gusty winds in the metro and Eastern Plains. Friday and Saturday will both be Pinpoint Weather Alert Days as well as record-breaking heat is expected both days. Storms from Tuesday morning will clear, leaving some partial clearing through mid-morning. Highs will be below average, only reaching the upper 70s. Storms then kick off along Interstate 25 and metro Denver in the early afternoon, after noon and prior to 2 p.m. Live updates: Metro Denver, Eastern Plains see severe weather early Tuesday morning There is a slight risk for severe weather in the metro on Tuesday and an enhanced risk for the Eastern Plains. Risks include damaging hail in the metro, gusty winds and an isolated tornado in the plains. Be smart and keep an eye on the weather as it is a Pinpoint Weather Alert Day. Once the afternoon storms clear, Denver will see gradual clearing skies into the late evening. Skies will continue to slowly clear as Denver heads into the overnight hours with a light wind. Mainly sunny skies are back in the forecast on Wednesday afternoon, helping to warm highs to the seasonal averages in the middle 80s. The sunny skies are still in Denver for Thursday afternoon with temperatures climbing to the middle 90s. DENVER (KDVR) — A Pinpoint Weather Alert Day is issued for Friday as thunderstorms and hail make their way to the Denver metro area and are expected to affect travelers. As of 5:25 p.m. on Friday, over 800 flights at the Denver International Airport have been delayed. Pothole that formed in under 30 minutes causes backups on I-70: CDOT The online flight tracker FlightAware reported that 839 flights in and out of DIA were delayed, and a total of 24 were canceled. Although a few isolated storms will be possible, particularly on Sunday. Overall, dry conditions are forecast for the region. Temperatures will be slightly below normal in the upper 40s. Areas of the high country will dip as low as the mid-30s. Temperatures will recover to the low 80s Saturday afternoon, which is seasonal for early June. Winds will be west-northwesterly in the afternoon, around 10-15 miles per hour. Although the majority will remain dry, a rogue downpour may form in the afternoon, but severe weather is not forecast. The extended forecast features warmer conditions and fewer rain chances, although daily opportunities for a pop-up shower and storms will remain possible. Temperatures dip back into the middle and upper 70s Sunday and Monday. Pop-up storms, rising temps in Charlotte ahead of severe weather Saturday

(PINPOINT WEATHER) — We've made it to the end of the work week, and our treat will be a foggy start and stormy finish, but there will be some sunshine mixed in here and there. Temperatures are sitting in the 60s and 70s this Friday morning with light and variable winds kicking off the day. We'll see a mix of sun and clouds Friday afternoon with upper 80s on tap ahead of pop-up afternoon storms. These storms will have the potential to pack a punch in the form of damaging winds, with a marginal risk for severe weather in place for the Queen City and surrounding areas. Highs will fall just shy of 89 degrees before overnight lows dip into the low 70s heading into Saturday. We'll host another storm chance for the start of the weekend with the added threat of large hail with the potential for damaging winds. Saturday will be a Pinpoint Weather Alert Day with a slight risk for severe weather taking over the Carolinas. Storms will likely focus on the peak heating hours of the day and taper off late in the on Saturday can reach 90 degrees as we continue to bring on the heat this weekend. Mid-80s return Sunday to finish the weekend with intermittent storms still likely. Early next week will settle into the mid- to upper 80s as our active pattern persists from Wednesday into Thursday.
