Leroy Sane in 'advanced talks with shock club' after telling Bayern Munich he will leave for free this summer - in blow to Arsenal after 'meeting agent'

Leroy Sane is reportedly in advanced talks to join Turkish champions Galatasaray. Sane has told Bayern Munich that he will not renew his expiring contract and is now in line to pen a yearly deal in Turkey worth between £8.47million and £10.16m. The German has reportedly been a target for Arsenal, Chelsea, and Tottenham, with BILD claiming that his agent Pini Zahavi has entertained talks with all three. His contract saga has been one of great importance to Bayern, where he has won four Bundesliga titles since leaving Manchester City in a £55m deal in 2020. Zahavi recently gave a positive update on renewal talks, telling Sky Germany he had a 'nice dinner' with club chiefs, but now Bayern appear set to lose a key man. Reporter Florian Plettenberg claims Sane has rejected an improve contract offer from Bayern and that he is in talks with Galatasaray. He will not join Bayern for their Club World Cup campaign, which begins on Sunday against Auckland City. Sane would certainly be a coup on a free transfer for Galatasaray, who are hoping to bolster their attacking options after the end of Victor Osimhen's loan from Napoli. The Turkish league has become a popular landing spot for former Premier League stars but Sane can arguably still operate at the top level. He was once again an important cog in the Bayern machine this season as he scored 13 goals, made six assists, and helped them reclaim the Bundesliga title. Sane was an integral part of Manchester City's 'Centurions' team in 2017-18 before he helped the club to win a domestic treble - including a second successive Premier League title - the following campaign. However, he endured a fraught end to his time in Manchester after suffering a torn ACL before joining Bayern in the summer of 2020. Galatasaray's advancement comes as a blow to Arsenal but they may have more luck with striker target Benjamin Sesko. Al-Hilal have made an enquiry about the RB Leipzig striker but were informed his preference is to join the Gunners. Sesko has emerged as Arsenal's No 1 transfer target as Mikel Arteta looks to add more firepower to his attack.

That's according to Sky Germany, who reports that the winger will depart once his contract expires at the end of June. Advertisement The 29-year-old has reportedly turned down an improved extension offer from Bayern and will now explore opportunities elsewhere. Sané and Bayern had been in advanced talks over a new deal and were close to an agreement until the winger changed course, switching representation to super-agent Pini Zahavi. The German international joined Bayern from Manchester City in 2020 for a reported fee of €49 million. Since then, he has made 220 appearances for the club, scoring 61 goals and providing 55 assists.

FC Barcelona 'accelerating' plans to buy cut-price Marcus Rashford with new position in mind

Barcelona are pushing hard in their attempts to sign Manchester United's Marcus Rashford, with superagent Pini Zahavi brokering the deal. This is according to Sacha Tavolieri of Sky Sports Switzerland, who has provided an important update on the future of the United star this morning. Advertisement Tavolieri says Barça 'want to accelerate' their pursuit of the Wythenshawe man and that 'discussions have already been held this week between the player's entourage, super-agent Pini Zahavi, and FC Barcelona to lay the groundwork for a personal agreement.' It has been previously reported that Rashford is desperate to sign for the Blaugrana, with some reports claiming the Catalans have asked him to refuse all other clubs to try to force United to loan him to them. However, Tavolieri reports that it is a transfer rather than a loan that is under discussion, with the stumbling block being Rashford's exorbitant wages. 'Although Rashford's salary at Manchester United is difficult for Barça to achieve, [Barça president] Joan Laporta's idea is to extend the contract from four to five years in order to align with the player's entourage's demands and thus make the offer economically viable,' the reporter claims. Advertisement The reporter also insists that United will not get the £40 million for Rashford that they had agreed with Aston Villa, who took the 27 year old on loan for six months last season. Barcelona are expecting to pay between €35m and €40 million, equivalent to between £29 million and £33 million. It's a figure that will disappoint both Ineos and United fans for a player whose market value is €50 million / £42 million as per The report also claims that Rashford has also got an idea in mind of where he expects to fit in Hansi Flick's system. This is to play up top in the number nine role, 'to free up space on the wings to allow Raphinha and Lamine Yamal to be even more effective.' In other words, Rashford is looking to be Robert Lewandowski's successor at the Camp Nou. Advertisement It is natural for Rashford to want to play in one of the best teams in Europe, but that very issue – how he will usurp any of the superb forwards already at the club to claim a regular first team spot – is one that he could find harder to resolve than he imagines. The most likely scenario is that Rashford will be a squad player at the Camp Nou. Whatever the case, for United the priority is to get the deal done and get some cash in for the wantaway star. Whether they will be willing to accept £33 million, only time will tell, but it does not feel like a situation that is going to be easy to 'accelerate', whatever Barcelona might think. Arsenal teased by Leroy Sane 'contract update' after German's agent sits down with Bayern Munich chiefs - but 'two other Premier League giants' are keen on free transfer

Arsenal have been dealt a potential blow in their pursuit of Leroy Sane after his agent gave an upbeat update on contract talks with Bayern Munich. The winger's contract expires this summer and his agent Pini Zahavi has reportedly been speaking with Arsenal, Chelsea, and Tottenham over a Premier League return, as per BILD. Sane joined Bayern from Manchester City for £55million in 2020 but has been linked with a move away for some time and has reportedly been spending time in London with his wife Candice. He was once again an important cog in the Bayern machine this season as he scored 13 goals, made six assists, and helped them reclaim the Bundesliga title. And his agent Zahavi has told Sky Germany of a seemingly positive contract update talks, saying: 'We had a very good dinner, it was a nice dinner, I enjoyed it. But no news. 'I cannot speak about it, but it was a nice meeting.' Bayern are said to be insistent on not wanting to increase their current offering to Sane, which is made up of a fixed salary of €10million (£8.3million), plus a variable bonus of €5.5million (£4.6million). However, key figures within the club, including sporting director Max Eberl, are said to be willing to pay that sum in order to keep him on their books. As a result, Bayern are thought to be considering increasing his fixed salary up to €13 million (£10.9million) and reducing the bonuses accordingly. While Premier League sides are reportedly keen on landing Sane, Turkish Super Lig side Galatasaray have also tabled an offer worth €10million per year to Sane. The German winger will have to make a decision over a potential new destination quickly, with Bayern wanting his future resolved prior to Bayern the club's departure for the Club World Cup on June 10.
