WATCH: Highlights of Ohio State football's newest linebacker commit, Cincere Johnson
The Ohio State football recruiting efforts paid off in a big way on Thursday when 4-star linebacker Cincere Johnson announced his commitment to the Buckeyes. Out of the pipeline that is Glenville High School in Cleveland, Ohio, the 6-foot, 3-inch, 240-pound Johnson should continue to make the linebacker room in Columbus a very good one for years to come. It's one thing to just hear about a commitment's recruiting service ranking and feel good about what the Buckeyes have landed; it's another to be able to get eyes on video highlights to see what he can bring to the program. We like to pull the previous high school season highlights from our friends at Hudl to provide you with some tangible evidence or what a commitment has done, and it's no different here. Advertisement Johnson should bring size, speed, and versatility to the linebacking unit. He's a top-notch tackler, but can also come off the edge to provide pressure and disruption. Ohio State baseball announces summer prospect camp dates for 2025
Ohio State baseball announces summer prospect camp dates for 2025 With the start of summer comes the ability to start attending youth summer camps for many of the college athletic programs across the country, and it's no different at Ohio State. Whether you play softball, football, baseball, or other sports, chances are, if you want to attend a college camp for exposure and teaching -- and if you have the time and money -- there's a spot for you. So it is with the Ohio State baseball program. It, too, is not only looking to provide some teaching and skill work with the youth of America, but it's also looking for a few good young men to come to Columbus and be a part of building the baseball program back where it wants to be (honestly, there's no where but up to go after last season). The Buckeyes announced some prospect camps on Tuesday, so if you have a youngster looking to be a part of what Ohio State has to offer, then we have all the details you need to know. There is a one-day "procase" camp for ages 8 and up on Monday, July 14, followed by a two-day prospect camp for grades 8 through 13 on the weekend of August 16 and 17. Both camps take place at Bill Davis Stadium on the campus of The Ohio State University. For more information, or to register and secure your spot while there is space available, you can visit the baseball camp section of Or, you can check out other baseball camp opportunities that are also on the calendar already. Many kids establish relationships and get on programs' radars by going to these camps, so why not get things going by attending a camp? At the least, you'll get some good teaching and interaction with others. Info: Register: #GoBucks | #BuckeyeCamps — Ohio State Softball (@OhioStateSB) June 17, 2025 It's summer, and while that means college athletics take a bit of a hiatus because the athletic and academic calendars align, it does mean that summer camps are underway for youth and prospects that want to get some good coaching and establish relationships with college coaches. It all helps make a player better and starts or continues relationship building in recruiting. One of the fastest-growing sports in popularity is softball, and the Ohio State program just capped off a great momentum-building season under new head coach Kirin Kumar. Now, if you have a young lady who wants to get in front of the OSU coaches and receive some good direction and coaching, you can do so. The Buckeye softball program just released information on its summer camps, and it's open to those that are age appropriate to join. According to the announcement and release, Ohio State will hold three elite summer camps at three different times. The first will be June 23 and 24, July 14 and 15, and August 23 and 24. The elite camps are typically for a higher level of skill and include graduation years 2025 to 2029. However, if you are still interested in other camps that aren't elite camps, Ohio State also has other dates already out there. You can get a list of those by visiting the softball camp portion of the website. You can also register if you are to that point as well. Ohio State football staff tightens players' lead in 'June Olympics' after winning Euchre
Ohio State football staff tightens players' lead in 'June Olympics' after winning Euchre The Ohio State football program continued its summer competition it's calling the "June Olympics," on Monday. What better way to pass the time during the dead period than a friendly competition of various sports and games between the players and staff? To date, the players have had the upper hand, going into the latest event with a 5-3 lead. The latest competition stepped outside of the physical, athletic realm and dove into card playing. It's just the sort of competition the older staff members likely needed after falling behind by two points because of a dodgeball win by the players last week. And, wouldn't you know it, the staff came through, winning a Euchre competition to pull to within one point at 5-4. It had a lot of drama with the score nip and tuck until the staff took the momentum at the end to tighten things up. You can get the highlights of the win thanks to the "X" account (formerly Twitter) of Ohio State Football below. As always, we're not sure what the next event is, or even how many competitions are set to take place in the month of June, but so far, we've been getting a look at an "Olympic event" every other day or so. We'll see what the future holds and if the staff can even things up, or if the players again put a little separation between themselves and the guys with a little seasoning on their ages. Ohio State football 3-Game Mini-Plans go on sale. Here's how to get them.
Ohio State football 3-Game Mini-Plans go on sale. Here's how to get them. We might still be a month and a half away from the start of the college football season, but you can start getting your hands on some Ohio State football tickets now. In fact, you can order up three game mini-plans now. The options aren't wide-ranging, but you can select one of two options between the home games against Grambling or Rutgers for your first pick, then pick two games of the three options between the contests vs. Ohio, Minnesota, or UCLA. The bigger games are understandably missing from the 3-Game Mini-Plans, so unfortunately, the home games against Texas or Penn State aren't a part of the package. It must also be noted that there is a limit of six packages per customer. Any attempt to go over the six allowed will be canceled without notice. So, if you are looking to get in early on seeing the defending College Football Playoff national champions play, now is your chance before single-game tickets go on sale. Those sales start for alumni on June 24 and for the general public (whatever is left) on June 27. Both are available beginning at 10 a.m. on the sale dates. The 3-Game Mini-Plans are sold through Ticketmaster. The demand for tickets should be pretty high this season as fans are still basking in the glow of the national championship, but we'll see what kind of tickets are available when single-game dates start to become available.
