Jared Leto accused of sexual misconduct: James Gunn's 2018 tweet resurfaces; 9 women, including minors come forward
Oscar-winning actor and musician Jared Leto , is facing serious allegations of sexual misconduct, with nine women coming forward to describe troubling past encounters with the star. Among the accusers, some allege that the interactions occurred when they were underage, sparking scrutiny of Leto's past behaviour. While the reports have sent shockwaves among fans of the Suicide Squad actor, other social media users have resurfaced past tweets from director James Gunn , who had made pointed remarks about Leto's alleged interest in 'young women'. Back in 2018, Disney star Dylan Sprouse tagged the actor in a tweet and said, "Yo @JaredLeto now that you've slid into the dm's of every female model aged 18-25, what would you say your success rate is?" In a now-deleted post, Gunn responded to Sprouse's criticism of the actor's alleged pattern of dating much younger women. In his post, the director commented, 'He starts at 18 on the Internet?' "Hey remember that one time James Gunn said that Jared Leto tries to hook up with underage fans and nothing ever came of it," a fan asked sharing a screenshot of the now deleted post. Additionally, reports also state that Gunn previously referenced Leto in a Periscope livestream in 2015, where he made comments about the actor's behaviour. While the video has since been deleted, Gunn later apologised for the session, attributing it to being 'Ambien-fuelled' and posted at 3 am. According to a detailed report by People magazine, the sexual misconduct accusations against Gunn span more than a decade. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Pinga-Pinga e HBP? Some of the said incidents reportedly took place when the accusers were aged between 16 or 17 years old. Reports record one of the women, now a model, recounting meeting Leto at an animal rights event in 2008 when she was 16. She claims they stayed in touch via email before she visited his studio the following year, where Leto allegedly flirted with her and emerged naked from a room unexpectedly. 'I thought maybe this was just what adult men do. ' Another woman said she met Leto at a café in Los Angeles when she was 16. She alleges that the actor later called her using sexually explicit language. Her mother, who reportedly overheard parts of the conversation, confirmed the story to the publication. In a statement to People, a representative for Leto 'expressly denied all allegations.' In the wake of the resurfaced allegations, DJ Allie Teilz also took to social media, claiming she was 'assaulted and traumatised' by Leto when she was 17. Leto's team has dismissed her statement as 'demonstrably false.' As of now, no criminal charges have been filed against Leto. His representatives continue to deny all claims, and the actor has not publicly addressed the allegations himself. Oppo's New Ultra Flagship Has Two Periscope Zoom That Work Well
The Oppo Find X8 Ultra with two Periscope zoom lenses Almost eight years ago I reported on a new mobile zoom camera technology being developed by Shenzhen headquartered Oppo. In the report, I wondered when the tech will be ready for prime time. Well, Oppo released the lens in a commercial device by 2019, but I'd argue now, in 2025, Oppo has finally mastered it, because the company's newest highest-tier flagship phone, the Find X8 Ultra, features not one but two optical zoom lenses using this "Periscope" technology, and it works very well. The Find X8 Ultra, which was launched for the mainland China market only last week in Xi'an, is not the first Oppo device to support dual Periscope cameras, but I'd argue this is the first real implementation that makes sense, because the previous two devices that did so had a rather mediocre long 135mm zoom that I deemed almost pointless in my reviews due to its small sensor and slow f/4.3 aperture. This time, that longer telephoto lens is improved thanks to a larger sensor and faster f-stop, which combined drastically improves light intake ability. The shorter zoom lens, a 70mm camera with macro focusing capabilities, is also slightly improved from the last generation with a faster aperture, thus giving the Find X7 Ultra two very capable zoom lenses that make the zoom camera hardware seen in phones from Apple and Samsung look outdated. The other cameras onboard include a 1-inch type main camera with a 23mm focal length, a 15mm ultra-wide camera, and a 32-megapixel front-facing selfie camera. The rest of the hardware is top notch, as to be expected from a phone with an Ultra moniker out of China: the newest Snapdragon 8 Elite chip from Qualcomm, and a 6.8-inch display with thin bezels and gets over 3,000 nits of brightness.

The resurrection of Lorde - fans say 'queen of pop is back' as single What Was That drops
Move over Brat summer, the queen is back. In an intimate open-air Washington Square Park gig, New Zealand pop star Lorde dropped her first new single since 2021 and now fans are going wild You've heard of Brat Summer, now it's time for Lorde summer. After an agonising four-year wait, the two-time GRAMMY winner has just dropped her new single What Was That – and fans are going crazy. Lorde's fanbase have buzzing with anticipation ever since she teased the drop her new single What Was That on TikTok last month. Now, the excitement has been ramped up after a clip of Lorde performing at Washington Square Park on April 23 went viral on Tiktok. Standing on a small wooden stage, she sang her new hit to a small crowd of screaming fans. One video caption read: 'We're still in disbelief.' Best known for her breakthrough hit 'Royals', released in 2013, Lorde has cemented her position as music royalty. The New Zealander topped charts worldwide, before being awarded Song of the Year and Best Pop Solo Performance at the 2014 GRAMMYs. She has since become known for her distinctive layered sound and the catchy melancholia of her lyrics, observed in subsequent top hits like 2017's Green Light. And, according to TikTok, her latest drop doesn't disappoint. Beginning with a grey street surrounded by brick houses, Lorde can be seen strutting down the road in a white shirt and jeans as the song's bass slowly picks up. 'You already know she's the queen of build ups,' one fan said in a TikTok video, before jumping up and down at the chorus drop. 'THE QUEEN OF POP IS BACK,' another ecstatic TikTok fan declared, also dancing around their room. Another wrote: 'LORDE SUMMERRR IS HERE.' 'The way its already a hit… oh my god,' one user said. 'A minute and a half off the next album and I already have goose-bumps. This my summer,' another wrote. Former X-Factor stars Jedward even chimed in with their reaction: 'the Lorde has risen to save us'. Another comment took the religious metaphor a little further: 'the pope died so the Lorde has risen'. TikTokkers have also speculated that 'queen of Brat' Charli XCX was teasing a 'Lorde summer' at this year's Coachella. Videos of the crowd going crazy spread like wildfire after the singer brought Lorde out during her performance of Girl, so confusing – a song written about the pair's fraught friendship. 'I'm so happy we're getting Lorde back this year, dream come true,' one commenter wrote. 'Charli brought her out of hibernation,' another joked. The star has been lauded for her talents by other influential figures in the music industry. Notably, the late David Bowie was quoted as believing the singer to be the "future of music". His long time pianist Mike Garson told fans during a Periscope Q&A: "David really liked Lorde, and he felt like she was the future of music, and they had a few wonderful moments together." This came after Lorde was chosen to perform a Bowie tribute at the 2016 BRIT awards. It's not confirmed when exactly Lorde's new album will be released. However, the hype around 'Lorde Summer' has left fans hoping that it will be out in time for the sunny season.

Elon Musk's X Is Ordered to Pay $105M to VidStream for Patent Infringement
A jury in Texas has ruled that Elon Musk's company X Corp (formerly known as Twitter) must pay $105 million to a Dallas-based tech firm called VidStream LLC for patent infringement. VidStream first sued in 2016, claiming that Twitter used its patented video technology without permission to support video features on Twitter, Vine, and Periscope. The jury found that X willfully violated one of VidStream's two patents, which are designed to help users create and share videos across platforms like social media, apps, and TV. VidStream had originally asked for over $600 million in damages. Stay Ahead of the Market: Discover outperforming stocks and invest smarter with Top Smart Score Stocks. Filter, analyze, and streamline your search for investment opportunities using Tipranks' Stock Screener. Interestingly, the patented technology allows user-generated videos to be quickly converted into the right formats for different platforms. VidStream said that Twitter used this system without a license, even though the companies once discussed working together. Those talks fell through, and VidStream argued that Twitter chose to copy its invention instead. Twitter's lawyers denied this and said its own engineers developed a separate system. They also argued that the patents were invalid because similar technology already existed before the patents were filed. It is worth noting that VidStream acquired the patents in 2017 after the original holder, Youtoo Technologies, went bankrupt. During the trial, VidStream's lawyer said that Twitter knowingly took the invention rather than becoming a partner. X Corp responded by saying that it was not interested in using video for TV, which was a focus of Youtoo, and claimed that it had already built its own tools. What Is the Prediction for Tesla Stock?
