London's most expensive fish and chip shop where one meal will set you back £37
How much would you be willing to pay for a portion of fish and chips?
Around £7 maybe £15 if you fancy an extra treat, either way, the chances are less than £37 per portion.
London's most expensive fish and chip restaurant, Kerridges's Fish & Chips sees meals start at £25 and rise to £80.
The restaurant by Michelin star chef Tom Kerridge is set in Harrods and offers a very pricey menu.
Harrods shares that Kerridge's Fish & Chips takes "the UK's favourite dish to new heights" offering a menu with "Britain's finest, freshest seafood, all ethically caught and hand-selected by local fishmongers."
The restaurant serves up daily catch items to "hand-dived scallops and native lobster" and a range of grilled and deep-fried options using the chef's signature crisp and gluten-free batter.
The department store shares that chips are not neglected: "Kerridge does not neglect the chips, which take two days to be prepared before they arrive at your table, piping hot and triple-cooked alongside a choice of dips."
With the menu created by a Michelin-starred chef, you can expect the prices to be on the higher end, with Kerridge previously defending the costs.

Speaking to the Radio Times, Kerridge said: "I'm seen as a man of the people, so when I put fish and chips on for £35, they shout at me for it being expensive.
"But the people criticising me don't understand how it's priced.
"Fish and chips was always seen as cheap, fast food, and I get that because of where I grew up."
The most expensive menu item at Kerridges Fish & Chips is unsurprisingly the caviar, with 250g costing £490.
The Market Day Fish costs £37, while the Monkfish 'scampi' will set you back £42 both coming with chips and a choice of sauces.
The Harrods-based restaurant does offer butties, with the Kerridge's fish finger sandwich priced at £27 and the Pea Fitter Bap at £25.
