Autism Commission on Quality Awards Acorn Health Two-Year Accreditation

CORAL GABLES, Fla., June 03, 2025--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Acorn Health has received a full two-year accreditation for its applied behavior analysis (ABA) therapy services from the Autism Commission on Quality (ACQ), a nonprofit accreditation agency. The designation means Acorn Health meets the highest national standards for clinical quality, transparency and operational excellence. ACQ's review process includes a wide range of business, clinical and quality improvement activities to promote best practices and evidence-based pathways. The assessment considers clinical observations and satisfaction surveys from clients and staff, leadership interviews and a desktop review. The ACQ accreditation applies to all of Acorn Health's more than 70 locations across seven states; reassuring families that no matter where their child receives services, they'll benefit from the highest quality care delivered by qualified autism therapy clinicians. "Accomplishing ACQ accreditation is something we're incredibly proud of," said Paul Doher, M.A., BCBA, LBA, national director of clinical quality for Acorn Health. "The standards are rigorous, so by demonstrating our alignment with how a high-quality ABA company performs, it reinforces the work our talented and dedicated employees do each day to ensure we make meaningful changes in the lives of our clients." The ACQ was established in 2022 by the Council of Autism Service Providers (CASP), a nonprofit trade association for organizations serving individuals with autism. ACQ's mission is to continuously improve the impact of applied behavior analysis services for the autism community through education and accreditation of provider organizations. About Acorn Health: Acorn Health is an accredited Behavioral Health Center of Excellence® offering both center-based and in-home services nationwide in more than 70 centers located throughout Florida, Illinois, Maryland, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, and Virginia. Founded in 2018, Acorn is committed to providing industry-leading quality clinical care through applied behavioral analysis (ABA) therapy to give children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) the opportunity to live more independent and meaningful lives. Cases of ASD are on the rise; according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, one in 31 children is living with ASD. ABA therapy, a program endorsed by the U.S. Surgeon General, provides individualized plans for each patient based on agreed upon clear, measurable goals with the child's family. Acorn Health uses its proprietary Behavioral Health Index to measure success in ways that are easily understood by families, clinicians and educators.
