Paryaya Puthige Mutt seer Sugunendra Tirtha inaugurated a week-long jackfruit and mango fair at Geeta Mandira in the Krishna Mutt complex on Friday, June 13, in Udupi. Speaking after the inauguration, the seer said that Lord Sri Krishna had stated in the Bhagavad Geeta that he would be happy if devotees offer him leaves (Pathram), flowers (Pushpam), fruits (Phalam), or water (Thoyam). Let people think deeply about Lord Sri Krishna and reap the benefits of the fruit fair at Geeta Mandira so as to help the growers, the seer said. MLA Reddy slams Karnataka chief minister's no war suggestion

Udupi: MLA G Janardhana Reddy criticised chief minister Siddaramaiah for suggesting against waging war with Pakistan. Reddy expressed that CM Siddaramaiah's recent comments were disgraceful and created an awkward position. He further stated that extending support to Pakistan demonstrates utter foolishness. Speaking to the media on Sunday, Reddy expressed his difficulty in accepting the devastating incident that occurred in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. According to the Bhagavad Gita's teachings, Lord Krishna emphasised the importance of eliminating evil forces, Reddy said and expressed his confidence that Prime Minister Narendra Modi would implement suitable measures to combat terrorism. The evil forces need to be defeated to establish tranquillity in India. According to Reddy, Sanatana Dharma and spiritual principles should remain as the cornerstone for maintaining harmony in India. Being elected twice as chief minister does not guarantee power to Siddaramaiah forever. No one can predict when one will lose power and position. Being a veteran politician, Siddaramaiah should choose his words carefully, said Reddy. MLA Reddy sought blessings from Sri Sugunendra Thirtha Swami of Paryaya Puthige Mutt. The seer said that we cannot accept violence. "The govt should end terrorism through stringent measures. It is dangerous that terrorists choose their victims based on religion," he added.
